We are going to visit childminder this morning who has been poorly . Then go to a friends this afternoon so the kids can make cristingles and watch a Christmas film . Then eldest has swimming lesson but will check what the traffic is like first .

rightsofwomen · 22/12/2017 09:41

I'm working (last day).
DS2 off to his Dad's soon.
DS1 needs tracking down after all night party.
Volunteer at food bank this afternoon. I've worked there a year now.
Friend will collect me for our annual mulled wine and giggle. I will run home from her's and then drop in to my book club gathering (double booked myself).
Tesco are bringing my Xmas grocs between 9 and 10pm (and this is the reason I need to track down DS1 and he's promised to take them in!).

Sorted!

ninnypoo · 22/12/2017 09:42

phoenix1973 · 22/12/2017 09:46

phoenix1973 · 22/12/2017 09:49

Polly. Sounds like my kind of Christmas x x

DialsMavis · 22/12/2017 09:53

I'm off work until the 27th now so DH and I went to the supermarket v late last.

I'm now watching Miracle on 34th st in bed with DD before thinking about heading into London to meet my mum for a quick walk along the South Bank and helping SIL choose a dress for her emergency wedding next weekend! Central London will be awful but going to just embrace it. Been invited for drinks tonight but think I should stay in and wrap as not started yet. I'm also on an emergency diet for the wedding.
DD will be with me all Day
DH away with work from early today until v late tomorrow and D'S will be in his pit then doing some Christmas shopping as an excuse to not been seen in public with me.

SlothMama · 22/12/2017 09:54

I'l be "working from home" hehe

Teddygirlonce · 22/12/2017 09:57

Nursing a slight hangover - met up with some family friends yesterday evening and ended up doing a pub quiz.

Anticipating going off on a Christmas foodie goodies shop shortly (when I can raise the enthusiasm).

Nannyplumssillyoldelf I'm with you on the lack of Christmas spirit. Can't get enthused at all and feel woefully under prepared for it. I think it's because I'm being made redundant Sad...

Bendyandtheinkmachine · 22/12/2017 10:02

Was up at 6 with oldest DD to go to Tesco. Tesco was packed and it was still dark. Bought my DH's present and the last few bits for Xmas. We are all nursing heavy colds so going to relax for the rest of the day.

Missingthesea · 22/12/2017 10:03

Trying to find a present for one of our sons-in-law, and dropping off DGD's birthday present at her house. And making a fairly brief visit to a sick friend.

drinkswineoutofamug · 22/12/2017 10:06

I've got as far as taking the cleaning stuff from out of the cupboard then sat down again.
Pulled my back yesterday lifting a crate of beer Xmas Blush as you do.

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 22/12/2017 10:09

I'm off work now till 6th Jan, but DH is at work today and DD (3) is not at nursery so currently she and I are slobbing on the sofa until I can muster up the energy to do stuff. I need to do laundry and general tidying as we're away from tomorrow, but I want to do something christmassy with DD as well. Not sure what yet...

lastnamefirstfirstnamelast · 22/12/2017 10:16

been to the gym and now working from home until 12. DH and kids have gone out to get the few bits that didn't turn up in online shop.

Then packing as we are going away tomorrow morning.

nornironlady · 22/12/2017 10:26

I am also in work but the shopping is done and only the house to do now. My Mum has offered to take my DS for a few hours tomorrow so I can get sorted. Counting the minutes until 1pm when I am off until 28th. Merry Christmas everyone!

8mileeminem · 22/12/2017 11:17

Looking after my nephew today so I have taken my daughter and him to a local adventure farm for a few hours, then walk the dog when we get home, cleaning and washing and a quick nip to the shops for last bits ready for my games night tomorrow . Finished work yesterday for a week .

neversleepagain · 22/12/2017 11:22

I booked the kids into a Play Club for the day (my first day off work). I came home and had a long shower, washed my hair, shaved, exfoliated, moisturised. I never get time for a 'proper' shower.

I unpacked the Christmas shop that was delivered by Waitrose. Have done 2 loads of washing, cleaned the fridge, changed bedding on all beds.

This afternoon I will finish wrapping presents (not many left), assemble the kids ginger bread houses for them to decorate tomorrow.

It's been a lovely chilled morning, so far.

maddiemookins16mum · 22/12/2017 11:23

I finished work yesterday until the 3rd Jan.
Today -

Changed our bed. Remade with the Christmas Duvet (I know, but it was a present from DD last year).

Did a washing.

Went to ASDA.

Did the recycling for collection.

Cleaned out my main food storage cupboard, wiped and redid it (it was a right mess and I couldn't find my dried mustard from my pasta.

Still to do...

Tidy kitchen
Empty, clean and redo fridge so I can start putting things in it for Christmas (bottles etc).

Tidy through house (have friends for dinner tonight).

Need to drop DD at friends house for a sleepover.

Ironing (when watching a Christmas film this afternoon). Need to check table linen for Christmas too.

Just about to stick some lamb shanks/veg in the slow cooker for dinner.

Also need to do wrapping when DD is not around to see.

Aebj · 22/12/2017 11:27

Dh took the boys to the cinema while I wrapped presents. Then took boys for a hair cut and a very small food shop ( big food shop will be done tomorrow). Worked phoned to see if I could go in but they got told a big fat no!!! I’m in tomorrow and Christmas Eve so I needed some time off

ShotsFired · 22/12/2017 11:31

Everything completely done. Have been shopping twice and both times has been very easy and quiet experiences.

(I'm not having Christmas till January anyway, so my 25th is actually some volunteer work, while OH is off visiting family lucky escape for me. Have bought ingredients for a nice meal for myself in the evening though)

TeddyIsaHe · 22/12/2017 11:33

I HAVE to do my Christmas clean, the house is an absolute state. But instead I’m warning Grey’s Anatomy and eating Christmas cheese (at 11:30am Blush )

questabelletreetop · 22/12/2017 11:36

We're on our way to LaplandUK! I'm sooo excited!Smile

CoffeebyIV · 22/12/2017 11:37

1 last gift is due to arrive so waiting on that. Then I’be wrote my list for the butchers and market for veg so I’m going to get that and stamps as need to send out wedding invites. Then home to nice proper coffee while I wrap the last of DPs presents.

Arrowfanatic · 22/12/2017 12:32

Laundry, laundry laundry.

DH is "working" from home, and he went to costco for some bits.

I have to go see my Nan, then I intend to slob on the couch with my kindle only getting up to sort the laundry and feed children. I wad out last night and although amazed I'm not hungover I am thoroughly shattered.

Nannyplumssillyoldelf · 22/12/2017 12:34

Quick pit stop for lunch. The cleaning is going slowly. I just need to vaacum the living room and then down stairs will be done. I can remember when I could clean the house from top to bottom in 2 hours. Now it's taken 3.5 hours to do 3 rooms. I'm blaming the toddler.
