She is a lucky girl but we do try to keep the presents reasonable - some stuff that she needs like clothes or things for her room, some books, and we buy toys like Lego reduced or on 3 for 2 offers as much as possible - I also use Nectar, Clubcard and Advantage points I save up during the year. (I also often ask for vouchers for me as presents and then end up using them to buy DD's presents the following year - I really should treat myself instead but I never can think of anything I want!) We don't go overboard on the big presents, either - I watch for Amazon price dips and her Father Christmas presents only cost about £30 all in this year. I buy stocking fillers throughout the year when I see things reduced so most of her stocking fillers were in various sales or offers.
Thank goodness I've almost entirely finished DD now - apart from changing the slippers to a bigger size which I still need to do!
