A Christmas Cornucopia by Annie Lennox?

December 1st meant it had to be listened to, DCs dancing round the room to it. And dare I admit to getting a bit emotional with it too.

What are your favorites?

What else might I enjoy? I like Libera and keep meaning to listen more to the Swingle Singers and Pentatonix (I adore the latter's version of Hallelujah).

We recently bought the christmasaurus book which comes with an album of songs to listen as we read and they are ridiculously catchy!

So that.

DerbyshireDad17 · 01/12/2017 20:58

Buble Christmas album all the way. Cheesetastic and superb for wrapping presents to!

MrsDoyleFallingOutTheWindow · 01/12/2017 21:00

Phil Spector. I could listen to that Darlene Love track all day

HeyMicky · 01/12/2017 21:04

Tracey Thorn's christmas album is a gorgeous modern album. Sweet and catchy. I have it on non-stop in December

Normandy144 · 01/12/2017 21:05

Another vote for Phil Spector Motown Christmas. I've been dancing to that one since I was about 6 years old. Love, love it!

NightRaven52 · 01/12/2017 21:07

Nat King Cole's Christmas album is and always will be the favourite here. It's a classic.

I8toys · 01/12/2017 21:07

I always go back to our Country Christmas bargain bin compilation.

I'm listening to Tracey Thorn now and enjoying it - thanks HeyMicky :)

ThomasHardyPerennial · 01/12/2017 21:31

Tori Amos - Midwinter Graces
Hanson - Snowed In (it's a classic, don't judge me Grin)
The Little Women (1994) soundtrack is lovely and very festive

Toomuchstuff12 · 01/12/2017 21:50

Nat King Cole and Dean Martin, it's not Christmas without it. I'd forgotten about Phil Spector, I'm off to download it now.

ScouseQueen · 01/12/2017 21:54

Kate Bush, 50 Words for Snow
Phil Spector's A Christmas Gift For You, of course
& Dylan's Christmas in the Heart - if you're not a fan, don't be put off, I'm not but it's great!

I love the Phil Spector one too but am not sure whether I should play it because he later murdered a woman. What is the protocol?

Also love the Ally McBeal Christmas album.

SatsukiKusakabe · 02/12/2017 08:07

Phil Spector - A Christmas Gift to You and Bob Dylan for me too.

I’ve got Gwen Stefani’s new one this year though and love it! Old school vibe and sound

SatsukiKusakabe · 02/12/2017 08:11

I hadn’t finished! She covers a few classics but has 6 originals that are all really good too.

Her cover of Last Christmas is great.

I hear what you’re saying re: Spector. But all those wonderful singers? He only produced it, I listen to them.

DramaQueenofHighCs · 02/12/2017 08:13

Oooh yes, Annie Lennox - amazing Christmas album!

Here we also have the Christmas albums by 'the spinners' (Mrs Hooligans Christmas cake played and sang along to at full volume), Cliff at Christmas (I know but....) and Now that's what I call Xmas
