Mother. Tens machine. Bought.
Father. Aviator hat (he's a farmer so gets cold). Bought.
Sister. Chrome pen. Bought.
Brother. Nothing. (He lives in Canada and won't be home this Xmas so we sort of have a mutual agreement where we don't bother unless we're going to be together). Not bought.
Friend's children. Sweets and girly stuff for her teen. Bought.
DD. Nike hoodie and bottoms, sapphire earrings. Bought. Trainers, still to be bought. Fragrance, will let her pick out on 26th.
I don't have a partner or PILs to buy for. No grandparents either.

OP posts:

Good job your kids are imaginary Crumbs or that'd cost a fucking fortune Shock

CharlieSierra · 25/11/2017 18:08

Courtney & Crispy I've been wondering exactly the same. Fascinating!

crisscrosscranky · 25/11/2017 18:32

😂 I got to the second car lease on crumbs' post and thought it might be a windup... cat carrier sealed the deal!

I've bought my mum a new house hairdryer, my dad a new car beer and a dvd and my husband is getting round the world trip with me and a Brazilian supermodel a Sega mega drive

CrispyDuckPlease · 25/11/2017 18:44

I got to the second car lease on crumbs' post and thought it might be a windup

A lot of what that poster types are not a wind up. They post on threads where others are genuinely looking for advice and spouts utter shite about they're own imaginary children. They're so stupid they can't get their storyline right or even the ages of the imaginary children.

jennielou75 · 25/11/2017 18:50

jennielou75 I’m killing myself laughing at your 24 woolovers jumpers! That’s mighty efficient if you!

I am in the bizarre position of having done pretty much all the shopping already this year (this is dangerous...I will buy alsorts of unneeded rubbish in December)

Husband - 2x new Xbox games, CK boxers, Bill Bailey tickets, work socks, vinyl and a slow cooker (he did ask for this, I promise)
Mum - Coach handbag
Dad - Tickets for Jools Holland
Brother - Hoodie and a beard comb
Best friend - GoT monopoly
Secret Santa - Harry Potter fairy lights from Primark (these are actually really lovely, little glass “potion bottles” all lit up)
MIL/FIL/husbands GPs are all getting a photobook of our elopement as they weren’t there, plus a voucher each from DH - they’re not as big on gifts as my family

I will probably also grab a few token gifts of nice chocolate/champagne from M&S just in case - we are going to FiLs for Christmas Day and I’m not certain who else will be there.

Justabadwife · 25/11/2017 21:43

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 25/11/2017 21:46

Crumbs - it may be an idea for you to keep a notebook with details of your family/house/village/aga in for you to refer back to before submitting future posts. Might stop those inconsistencies.

C8H10N4O2 · 25/11/2017 21:47

endehors

Moi? Au contraire, I try to keep the main presents reasonable - we wouldn't want to spoil them.

They all have stockings from Grandfather Frost with small tokens - mainly silk ties, opening night tickets, ball gowns. I'm sure you know the type of thing. And of course we take any surplus to the children of The Poor [tm]
