Bear in mind when you get tickets for West End shows in January on these discounted weeks, they are often when the leads are on holiday. Not a problem for some but you might be disappointed if you were hoping to see someone in particular performing.

Can anyone advise me please? John Lewis have the KitchenAid 150 Artisan 4.8L Stand Mixer, Red for £279.00. I have wanted this appliance for so long and I could afford this. I know this model has been phased out this year and replaced by 175 and 125. I rang Kitchen Aid this morning and they said the model is exactly the same, same appliances, and all accessories fit. The only difference is the colours and that the boxes contain difference accessories. Does anyone have more information and shall I buy this? TIA

Thiscantreallybehappening If you want a Kitchenaid at a cheap price I would buy this, I bought a similar 150 from Currys at £279 in cafe latte, there may be still some of these left also and as far as I know the difference from the 175 is that the Kitchenaid logo is slightly different and the 175 also has an extra paddle with the rubber edge which you can buy separately if you want.

If you did want the 175, Harts of Slur have lots for about £494 which include free accessories so if you were thinking of buying those accessories separately anyway these are worth looking at. The £279 one at Harts of Slur has the glass bowl instead of stainless steel bowl and is a slightly pinker shinier red.

I would buy it if you want red with a stainless steel bowl at a good cheap price, but also look at the Currys one and Harts of Slur to compare.

Has anyone seen any deals on regular kindles like the paper white? Not the fire tablets which they seem to be giving away!

lightsasthebreeze Thank you for your help. Yes, kitchen aid said exactly what you have said it is the logo and the extra paddle and the colours are slightly different.

Kitchen aid also told me that when we register the machine we will also be sent a cook book, which she said was really nice. Out of the new models it is only the 175 that gets the cookbook now the 125 model doesn't have that included.

I have hesitated because it is such an expensive time of the year anyway but It is the red with the stainless steal bowl that I have wanted for ages. Thank you for helping me to make my mind up. I have ordered it now

Meant to say, Kitchen aid said if you register on line make sure you select the cookbook option or if we ring up and do it over the phone make sure the cookbook is ordered for us.

Slightly off-topic, but the KitchenAid beater with the rubber edge is great for making cakes etc. And the glass bowl is great because it comes with a lid that you can use when proving bread dough. 💛 my KA.

OneMoStep thank you, I have been very pulled between the glass bowl and the stainless steel one. I have opted for the stainless steel one in the end but only because I could see the glass one getting broken by my clumsy teenager

This, I was the same, I dithered for ages! You can buy different accessories later though. I bought the two that I mentioned afterwards, so I've got the stainless steel bowl as well - I think it's better for every day use as it's much lighter.

Amazon have the pink fingerlings on pre order. In stock on 5th Dec.

Ah thanks for the Fitbit Charge 2 updates! I got mine from Boots for £109, which is actually a better deal than £99 from elsewhere because you get about £14 of points if you use an Advantage card. Annoyingly Boots have stopped doing the Flex 2 for £39 (it's now £10 more) ... I got one each for my kids but was thinking of getting an extra one for my nephew too.

SeaSalt and Jigsaw aren't doing Black Friday.
I had my eye on items from them and can't afford the full price.
Jigsaw is, apparently looking for an investor/ buyer.
Perhaps if they participated they might have more sales and the company might not have to be sold off ?

Re the Kitchenaid cookbook, I registered online and was sent a link to download the cookbook which looks like a real book but online

This, I think I was supposed to register by post, then I'd be sent a physical copy of the cookbook. But I didn't get round to it 😳.
