This year my 2 year old will be the proud recipient of a Clark's foot measure. The joy it will bring. Every time we go past Clarks we have to go in and she measures her own feet, her brother's feet, my feet, her own feet again... we try not to go by too often as they clearly think I'm mental.

Random things your children have loved?

Not brought yet but my 2 DC’s will be getting a roll of bubble wrap each this year - they love popping it.

You can get them directly from Clarke’s www.clarks.co.uk/c/Toddler-Gauge/p/203524220000

Just type measure in the search box if the link doesn’t work

I bought a feather duster from pound shop for getting cobwebs off the ceiling. Dd4 absolutely loved it.

One day she was upset asking for her fluffy friend, I had no idea what she meant so asked her big sisters, they knew instantly what she meant and my pink feather duster is now known as the fluffy friend

A sleeping mask for my niece. When she saw someone using one at the airport, she was jumping up and down saying "pleeeeeeease can I have one". Her wish was granted, and I think she'd want to fly just so she could wear it; but she sometimes wears it in the car. (She hasn't seen all the quirky colourful ones in Claire's Accessories!) I had to warn her not to walk about wearing it though.

A set of bungee cords for my DD when she was 3. Almost two years later and they are still one of her favourite things to play with Grin

A sponge.
We use flannels and bath scrunchies. She got so excited when she got a sponge in her stocking and asked Father Christmas for one the following year and was equally excited with the 2nd one.

A squeaky pig dog toy.

He's called Raymond and is very loved Grin

Kraggle · 15/10/2017 19:29

White tac for dd. She loved it, carried around a ball of tac for ages.

A huge piece of bubble wrap Grin

Huge cardboard boxes from Stax. Whenever we asked them what they wanted, they said a huge cardboard box. So we got them one each, wrapped them up, wrapped all their other presents and hid them inside the hides boxes. The boxes were painted and remodelled until February when they fell apart and the kids were really upset when they went out with the recycling.

This thread is so lovely. Bought ds a real tv remote, for his first Christmas Smile

A squeaky plastic cheeseburger dog toy. I let dd aged three pick a toy in a gift shop, and she set her heart on it.

lovelyjubilly · 24/10/2017 21:25

A small plastic funnel.

Love this thread! My son was very fond of a silicon pastry brush when he was tiny too.

Neverwasapancakegi7l · 25/10/2017 03:49

Maybe I need to buy a silicon pastry brush?! They seem the must have Christmas gift.
