Budget anything up for £150 as I can get my siblings to go in on gift with me.

My dad is an avid golfer but already has a lot of the gear - golf watch, good shoes, etc. Mum knits and loves a good tv show. Both good cooks and very sociable. I was thinking a hamper full of naice food and drink bits plus maybe some kind of voucher for an experience/day out but better ideas are most welcome!

In an ideal world, nothing. But she'd get upset so I'm getting her a 12 month subscription to Vogue magazine which I've done before and she loves.

Following this with interest. My DM is very difficult to buy for, and it’s her 60th birthday 6 weeks before Christmas. Thinking of 2 presents in quick succession is always a challenge, but the fact that it’s a big birthday means I’m feeling additional pressure this year

Also need to buy for my 63 yo DSF, although he tends to be marginally easier.

I'm getting my Dad a Solitary Bee House, my Mum a couple of jokey presents and probably a nice Clarins or Molton Brown gift set.

If she likes knitting, I'd look at getting her some lovely stitch markers as a gift, and project bags - have a look on Etsy. You can never have too many of those, and they would be nice little personalised touches to add to a hamper. Also, part of the fun of knitting as a hobby is buying yarn, so a voucher for Wool Warehouse, Deramores, Love Knitting etc would be good, or her nearest local yarn shop.

Hamper would be home made so only things I know they would like! Some great ideas here! Sadly they are not the manic Strictly fans I am so the show tickets would be wasted on them but will see if I can find something they would enjoy!

I'm not in your age range but I do knit.
Would your mum appreciate good wool? I find it hard to find any that isn't mostly acrylic.

A knitting bowl is a great idea! She buys herself good wool as they're lucky to have a beautiful yarn shop nearby. I like the idea above of some lovely stitch markers though, maybe some bamboo needles to add to her collection.

We’re getting DM a new tablet, her husband a dashcam and MIL Amazon vouchers.

They will get a picture calendar of our DC, this includes my dad who lives in Canada (we only send over a calendar and cards as postage is so expensive).

They will all get ‘standard’ bits and bobs - slippers, smellies, socks etc

My mum is getting a ness handbag and purse. Also a framed photo of dc and a embroidered cushion.

Dh's mum is getting photobook and something else.

Lost both of our dads recently but in the past have got photo books , golf vouchers, handy tool things like magnetic wristbands you can hold nails and screws on...

Photo calendar is a tradition here too, my dad loves it :)

I'm getting my dad a custom print which shows the stars in the sky on the night he married my mum from the place they were married. He has plenty of cash and my mum died last year, so we try to think of meaningful things and have done photos to death (pun intended).

For dad some under armour tops from m and m direct (golfer to), a food hamper of his fav things but too tight to buy himself, molton brown shower gel and any wee bits i find.

Mum i got her a Fossil wristlet down to 20 quid (worth 65) with her initials on it. Perfume, body set and sweet treats

Katkin - where can I get such prints, my mum has a significant birthday coming up and it could be something she likes.

Last year(my Dad passed away a few months ago and joined my Mum)I bought my Dad some really nice scarves and gloves,lots of new clothes,a nice shaving kit and aftershave and a sweetie and beer hamper from our 5DC for they're Grandad.

For my FIL we bought him a Tassimo machine and lots of the different coffees(that we know he likes)to go with it and a treats hamper from our 5DC for that Grandad.

For my MIL we bought her some really nice handmade toilitries(that we know she loves but she wouldn't buy for herself)some ornaments,a new bag,some stationary,a scarf,gloves and a new purse from our 5DC for they're Nanny.

For my Mum and Dad I shall buy them tons of lovely flowers and go and visit them just before Christmas and I'll buy even more treats for they're lovely Dog(I always buy all of the family pets gifts for Christmas)it will be his first Christmas without our Dad too so I'm going to spoil him rotten.

We got PIL afternoon tea vouchers for Harvey Nicks, including prosecco. Wouldn't work for everyone but they loved it.

Am getting mine an m&s hamper full of goodies plus a magazine subscription voucher each. They're impossible to buy for!

My folks are in their mid-70s and early 80s. They love to go on cruises so my sister and I club together and get them vouchers they can use onboard.

Jumping on and hoping for ideas (probably in vain)! My Dm and DF have always been nightmares to buy for (late 60s/early 70s) and DF has had a rubbish year including having his lower leg amputated. So all my go to small bits (socks, slippers etc) are now out.
Totally struggling as he’s also diabetic (hence leg having to go) so no sweet stuff and he’s home bound and technologically impaired so can’t get him anything gadgety.

Anyone got a miracle idea???
