I've just ordered the light box! Thank You! No idea why though Grin

MyDrainpipe · 30/09/2017 21:58

Link for 25% off saltrock for a first purchase, (I get a discount too)

www.talkable.com/x/usGzoO

They've also got a flash sale on and FLASHDEL also gets you free delivery. (Missed off in previous post).

LetThereBe · 30/09/2017 22:04

Thanks Make. I've just ordered the light box too

ScarlettDarling · 30/09/2017 22:10

I've never done one of the magazine subscriptions before because I just know I'll forget to cancel it! I'm tempted by the 'Red' subscription though for the £50 beauty box!! Can you cancel as soon as the first magazine is received?

1stTimeMama · 30/09/2017 22:12

I just subscribed to Great British Food magazine, thanks to @mumof2. £10.90 for 3 issues, with a free Vonshef Ultrablend, RRP of £99.99 on most stores, although currently on sale around the £40 mark, but either way, a fab gift for my husband who has just decided smoothies are the way forward for breakfast! Doesn't hurt that I love to cook too.

Fancythat69 · 30/09/2017 22:20

@ScarlettDarling I would also like to know that

Haudyerwheesht · 30/09/2017 22:26

Please please can someone explain this to me in words of one syllable?

Dh is due a 'free' upgrade. Ds (11) 'needs' a new phone.

Can we get the upgrade handset and give ds either the existing one or the new one? Then we buy a sim only contract from any network and put that sim in the phone we've given ds and it'll work with the contract chosen from the sim only network thingy? Does that make sense?

wafflelady · 30/09/2017 22:26

Marking my place, thank you all Smile

lionsleepstonight · 30/09/2017 22:31

@Haudyerwheesht I think the SIM only card would need to be with the same network the phone is with, otherwise you'd need to get it 'unlocked' at one of those second hand phone shops.

Rockhopper81 · 30/09/2017 22:33

We're going to buy my niece an Our Generation doll - for Christmas - whilst we're here in the US.

So, talk to me about the clothing on Ali Express - is there a preferred seller? Will the shoes for 18" dolls on there fit it?

I might be more excited about this than she will be, even though I wasn't even in to dolls when I was a child

gingerbreadmam · 30/09/2017 22:34

haudy as long as the new 'sim only' sim is on the same network as the current sim this will work fine.

Rockhopper81 · 30/09/2017 22:36

lionsleepstonight is correct - a sim-only from the same network provider as the new 'phone will work, otherwise it would have to be unlocked.

LostMyRubySlippers · 30/09/2017 22:36

mumof2 thanks so much for the magazine links

Haudyerwheesht · 30/09/2017 22:47

Thank you all!

AlwaysOldBeforeMyTime · 30/09/2017 22:48

@ScarlettDarling I know with good housekeeping you can cancel at any time and they continue sending however many magazines you ordered - assume it’s the same with others!

primitivemom · 30/09/2017 23:02

If anyone else is looking for a next code, i can refer you for £20 off , just pm me your name and email address x

Bdayblues · 30/09/2017 23:22

That makes sense Haudyer. We did this with teen dd - she has my old iPhone 5s and I got her a new sim from 3 that costs me £5 a month for unlimited texts, 500 mins and data (not sure how much).

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 01/10/2017 00:49

I've just had one of those weird "half asleep but still browsing on my phone then dozing off then browsing" naps on the sofa and an email from Conde Naste has come through thanking me for my magazine subscription but I can't open it to see what it is and an email from Amazon for cocktail umbrellas

I've no recognition of these orders...I'm literally sleep shopping...this isn't risky at all Hmm

Reastie · 01/10/2017 06:14

Wow ihopeyoustep, that's a whole step up from drunk online shopping!

@primitivemom I'm not sure how to PM you about the next code, but I'd like a code if you still have them available. Many thanks.

mumoftwo2017 · 01/10/2017 07:10

I tend to cancel the direct debit from my bank, after I have received both the gift and first magazine issue. You will still get the remaining magazines in your subscription you signed up for after cancelling dd

tistheseason2bjolly · 01/10/2017 07:29

There are 2 ways to receive a Next discount:

  1. Friend Recommendation
You give a "friend" your full name and email address, then the "friend" refers you via their Next account and you both get £20 off a £50+ shop

  2. In-store discount
At the checkout till they have little business size card offers with a code on. You ask the person at the till who takes your name and email address. From the code on the card, you get £10 off a £25+ shop

Mummyme87 · 01/10/2017 07:46

Anyone know about upcoming ELC sales? I know they have 3 for 2 now but usually have a sale closer to Christmas aswell

SweetPeaPods · 01/10/2017 08:03

Argh getting frustrated at Argos and their price increase though I'm not sure if prices have gone up everywhere. Need pie face and I'm sure it's gone up by £4-5 in a week!

cheeseandbiscuitsplease1 · 01/10/2017 08:04

To the poster who asked about the eBay paw patrol racers. They've arrived and I'm really happy with them. They are lightweight plastic but look like they are supposed to, proper packaging etc. They are the pull back and release type vehicle. I don't think they're fake. £7.29 for 6. I hope that helps.
