What are you planning on getting your DC?

I need ideas please. Instead of starting a thread asking specifically for ideas just for my DC, I thought we could write the age of the DC and what you are planning on getting them in order for it to be useful for everyone :)

Thanks in advance.

Some great ideas here. Love the magazine stocking filler idea, I hardly ever buy magazines but bought 4 recently for dds to share on holiday, cost me £16!! What happened to 30p Mandy and Bunty?! So might get another couple for Xmas.

I am a grandma stuck for pressies for dgs 8 and 11. I was wondering about a family present of a table tennis table(outdoor) with bats, balls and waterproof cover. I need to check with dd and dsil first though. Otherwise I am stuck.

greylady That sounds a good present. We have a net that attaches to our dining room table for indoor table tennis, kids love it. Our table is wood though, obviously it might not be wise for a glass one!

DS is 3
We will be getting him some more Thomas and Friends characters/buildings to go with his wooden train set

He keeps seeing other things he wants on adverts, including another variety of Thomas train set and a toot toot garage.

I'm sticking to the "something to read, something to wear, something you want, something you need" mantra!

The eldest will get cash!

@metalmum15
Yes what did happen to magazines that pocket money could buy !
In my day you could nip down corner shop buy a magazine a can of pop and a bag of sweets for a £1 😆
Seems like a lot of posters are struggling with ideas for 8 year olds.

Loot into the kids amazon tablet. Pp have mentioned it. It has a non quibble guarantee also. Great reviews. I've just downloaded the kids fire to my one and it's very good

DD (11) is Slime making crazy, and would like nothing better than a Slime making box full of glue, contact lens solution, shaving foam, glitter and accoutrements.

I'm v interested in getting a shared family sprocket. I wonder if they will reduce them on Black Friday? Also interested in an Echo Dot.

DS(13) is getting a computer for his birthday in a month, and will doubtless have a huge list of other things he wants - trainers, football boots, camera etc.

So far I've bought DD the new Goth Girl book, Guinness Book of Records, a black cherry jar candle, frosted berries Body Shop wash, and DS some Sour Warheads.

I'd like a Fitbit. I'm thinking I'm going to wait for the bigger items until Black Friday....

I've got all my gifts for my Great nephews and nieces apart from the two teenage boys.

All the 4-9 year olds have got a smiggle pencil case and a pile of smiggle stuff to fill it up - it was all in the sale so cost me £85 but that's for 7 of them so individually within budget. Little almost 2 year old has a pair of PJs and a couple of small 1st lego sets.

Just having a look to see what to get the bigger boys.

Then I just have my own teenage DSs, DH and something for my elderly mum.

I am Shock at how organised you all are. Still here for inspiration without a clue what to buy anyone yet. I did order DD an advent calendar today (saw it recommended on another thread), Mrs Brimble or Trimble or something like that, stationery, better than Tinc etc., apparently.

Just went for some nice Under Armour gym sack things for the teenagers and I'll pop a bar of chocolate or something in them...or if I can see a nice water bottle for a couple of quid then I might get those instead.
