What are you planning on getting your DC?

I need ideas please. Instead of starting a thread asking specifically for ideas just for my DC, I thought we could write the age of the DC and what you are planning on getting them in order for it to be useful for everyone :)

Thanks in advance.

DD will be just 5 - so far she is getting:

Space lego set
dressing gown, slippers and new pyjamas
rabbit nightlight
little live ladybird track and ladybirds
cuddly toy
sew your own elephant kit
Playplax
Clothes: a couple of party dresses
Books: My Naughty Little Sister box set; Gobbolino; Ottoline
Magnetic fishing game

All of the above are from us, though I've bought and stashed at points when I saw them/when they were on offer (apart from the slippers, which I still need to get)....

And from FC: a stocking, and a marble run (I think!) I was thinking of getting a camera, but that might be for her birthday instead. (And I might just give her an old camera of mine instead of buying a new one, as we have a spare old model Ixus knocking about that has been hardly used.)

DD seems to have decided that she needs/wants a new bike (and to be fair she has grown a fair bit since we got the last one) - so that might be her main birthday present. We tend to get her a fair few small bits at Christmas and birthday as they are so close together, which will be played with throughout the year. For her birthday I've already got (mostly in sales!):
Lego juniors set
Little live butterfly
some tops and leggings
unicorn skirt and headband
Peter Rabbit china set
cuddly toy
Books: Mortimer and Arabel set; Milly Molly Mandy
Pyjamas with owls on

....and possibly bike! Argh. I was hoping not to have to shell out for another one quite so soon.

DSs 17 and 16 I think they both want new CPUs and Motherboards for their PCS so there wont be a lot else.

I've bought some PJs in Sainsburys sale and will get DS1 a new dressing gown and slippers for both.

I've order a 3D pen also for DS1 and got some retro sweets put away.

I think there are bits and bobs such as ear buds etc that they could do with but then I'm stuck.

I usually wrpa up a slab of can's of coke etc each to bulk it up since they don't want toys anymore.

DS1 will be off to Uni next year so could include some handy things for that. DS2 really into his music so something related to that.

Ds (3 in Feb) is getting:

Riding "lessons" - he's horse/pony obsessed.
A couple of dinosaur figures to add to his collection (Schleich)
Playmobil - farm, stables and horse riding sets
Big wooden garage
Books
A couple of jigsaws
Some wooden knights and a dragon for the Castle his Grandparents are buying him.

@CannotEvenThink What about a book about Mary Anning (the woman who discovered the fossilised Ichthyosaurus). She ticks both the dinosaur and feminist boxes. The National History Museum online shop has quite a lot of dinosaur related things which might be worth a look as well. I was looking at t-shirts for ds but now I have the overwhelming urge to the buy the Dinosaur monopoly game.

DD who is 2 will be getting a Kindle with the Amazon Fire for Kids 2 -4 year old thing, a box of duplo which she loves, some little stocking fillers and I have no idea what family plans to get her yet, hopefully clothes as she is not wanting for toys!

DS will be about 6 weeks old by then so, probably nothing but a first Christmas memento to be honest!

All my DD (8) has asked for so far is Slime. But I doubt she’d be too happy if Santa wrapped her some PVA glue, formil detergent and some food colouring! Grin I have bought her a New Scooter though! Otherwise I have absolutely no clue. Doesn’t seem to be anything standing out as the Must have toy for an 8 yr old this year! Last year I was wrapped up hatchimal/furby connect hunting!

All DS (4.5) has asked for is Lego 🙄 List includes a big box of random bricks, plane, train, ninjago boat thing, cars 3 sets. Thinking about getting him a bike but not sure weather to wait for his birthday. Will also be getting new books and board games.

Stocking - small Lego train, bath crayons, hot wheels, thunderbird figures, Legoman shaped soap, Lego man shape crayons

DD (8 months) struggling with what to get but ideas include toot toots, ball pit, ride on and other annoying noisey flashy plastic tat. Some board books.

Stocking - banana tooth brush tether thing, rattles, elc toy box figures, small sensory balls

DS will be 4 just after Christmas, I've almost finished shopping and will divide them up between Christmas and birthday. We don't have much of an extended family and several of the relatives are elderly and ask me to buy gifts on their behalf, so those will come from this list too.

Lego Juniors Spiderman Hideout
Lego Juniors Batman vs Mr Freeze
Hey Duggee Squirrel Clubhouse (currently plotting to get a full set of Squirrel figures from Australia as they are out of stock everywhere in the U.K.)
Jenga-a-like
Toy siren, traffic cones and traffic lights- his current obsession is police road closures Confused
Post Office play set
Mud kitchen for his play house
Play-Doh superhero can heads
Magnet science set
Design and Drill

Then the usual stocking bits including a Christmas Hey Duggee magazine, magic flannel, chocolate buttons and bath crayons.

You're welcome, DS loves the magazines with the plastic tat which I try to reserve for special occasions and I know they will keep him occupied for a while if he wakes at silly o'clock

They are ridiculous how much they charge aren't they ? Once we nipped to a local shop and dh let dd choose 2. I said to him you are joking aren't you. It came to £10 his face was a picture. He thought they would be about a £1. And that's why I do all the shopping Wink

Dd5 hasn't asked for a 2 wheel scooter. We have a deal she can have one when she learns to ride her bike. So that may be a bday present yet. Otherwise DH suggested a keyboard and tbh I loved tinkering around on mine and she loves music/singing/dance so may be a good shout.

DD is 4 and so far is getting some Lego and jigsaws cause she loves building stuff Smile

Also some sort of tablet. Trying to get her into computers etc so I'm gonna get some kids' programming apps for it!

Other than that I'm not really sure yet - I'm rubbish at thinking of gifts. I sometimes use idea generators like this one or various gift blogs. YMMV but occasionally you stumble on something useful Smile
