Just a little thread discussing what we'd like for Christmas (if anything).

I only ask DP for specific things, no-one else. The only thing I can think of at the moment is a bottle of Chanel perfume; I've not tried it but reviews look good- anyone tried the Coco Mademoiselle? Blush

What are you hoping/asking for? Smile

Several bottles of lovely bath oil
Nice gin
New slippers
A handbag
A stackers jewellery box

Herja · 25/09/2017 06:39

An arran knit massive cardigan. It's very expensive and I love it.

Timefortea99 · 25/09/2017 06:47

Watch with tan strap/white face/silver hardware.

Phillips sonicare toothbrush.

A hard cover book - waiting for the Christmas releases.

Lanaa · 25/09/2017 06:49

I want an Apple Watch. I'm toying with the idea of getting it myself because I want it now, but DP will probably get me one for Christmas. Can't wait!

RJnomore1 · 25/09/2017 08:31

Ooh I would like Edinburgh gin rhubarb and ginger liquor too now I think about it

Olecranon · 25/09/2017 08:56

I would like an Amazon echo for the kitchen
Slippers and pyjamas
Big box of hotel chocolat chocs
Clarins body moisturiser
Books

HappydaysArehere · 25/09/2017 09:08

Peace of mind. It's priceless. Tho agree with Thalia about art supplies.
Happy with little things in a stocking and a bottle of Baileys. Nice meal shared with the family.

littlecabbages · 25/09/2017 09:41

@womanbehavingbadly ooh thanks for the recommendation I’ll have a looksie!

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 25/09/2017 10:22

I’m asking for the Ancestry DNA kit. Been wanting it for ages but not really something I’d spend money on for myself.

DH loves buying presents so even though I’ve told him that’s all I want, I’ll still get wee things to open on the day such as PJs and chocs.

melt001 · 25/09/2017 15:55

@littlecabbages There is a free online course that accompanies the books. I started a couple of weeks ago and I think the next one starts in January. If you google it then you will find all the details.

PoisonedIvy · 25/09/2017 16:00
  • A bottle of perfume (anything, I don't really care what it is but I like getting surprise perfume)
  • A load of Lush stuff (again, I'm not too fussed what it is but I'd like someone to go into Lush and spend about £50 on me)
  • A light grey track suit (fleece material, zip up hoody and bottoms to watch, elasticated bottom trousers)
PoisonedIvy · 25/09/2017 16:01

I also want a watch with a big round, funky face and a buckle strap (rather than clasp). Like this

Didiusfalco · 25/09/2017 16:58

@womanbehavingbadly Ive been using a dslr for a few years now - would the book you recommend still be useful do you think?

IsItIorAreTheOthersCrazy · 25/09/2017 22:42

a baby / to be pregnant

As standard from ILs I get rum, Yankee candles, lush smellies, some sort of bag / purse / costume jewellery and / or vouchers.

From parents - pjs, socks, something for the house (joint present for me and DH) and usually something I wouldn't even think to mention (tickets for a show / nice shoes).

What I want this year:
Vouchers for some decent makeup / skincare
A dashcam
Cashmere socks (am a bit Blush about putting these on my list)
Vouchers for a yarn / wool shop
Clothes
A nice pair of everyday boots

Ojoj1974 · 25/09/2017 22:55

DH- something sparkly from stella and dot
I doubt I will her anything... money is always so tight...
My parents- are amazing and make up for DH
MIL- buys a pile of crap which no one wants....I need to stop her doing this

Chocolatecake12 · 26/09/2017 08:02

I would like a Fitbit and some new slippers

I’d also really really like 2018 to be a better year than 2017 has been so far.

HolgerDanske · 26/09/2017 11:11

A lottery win Grin

A Mulberry Lily in midnight blue (this will be my present to myself in the Boxing Day sales, unless I manage to resist the lure of the credit card, which I really ought to).

My Christmas present from my fiancé this year will be a Christmas tree, as I no longer have one.

HolgerDanske · 26/09/2017 11:14

Hmmmm actually can I cancel the previous and have a hunky rugby player instead??

Chocolatear · 26/09/2017 11:25

A bottle of Chanel Gabrielle would be nice. Other than that there isn't anything really.
We're going away on Boxing day so that's enough for me!

HolgerDanske · 26/09/2017 11:30

Chanel Gabrielle is very nice. I tried some from their clever little atomiser insert in a magazine, just the other day!

PodgeBod · 26/09/2017 14:41

Fenty make up
Alcohol
A voucher to the hairdressers

blahdyblahblah · 26/09/2017 14:52

A roomba. Blush

blahdyblahblah · 26/09/2017 14:52

And to not have to spend it with my fuckhead in law toxic twat puffins.

Won't get that. Sad

OhOurBilly · 26/09/2017 20:03

An hour to myself in the bath with a lush bath bomb, a nice smelly candle, a large glass of wine and a book/netflix on and then a new fleecy onesie to get into.

Dh tries, he used to be excellent, this year he forgot my birthday and didn't realise I was included in Mothers days now (having recently given birth to his child a few months previous!) so ballsed that up too. Didn't help that the rest of my family also forgot my birthday too. I'm still a bit sore from that, I dress it up as ritcheous indignation and laugh it off but it genuinely stung.

I'm also ridiculously easy to buy for as I too love smelly stuff. I'll do an amazon wishlist and sent a couple of links to my DM.

Unicorn81 · 26/09/2017 20:35
