FridgeCut · 07/10/2017 15:15

I bought a haribo advent calendar we don't need, candy canes in two flavours, choc tree decorations and biscuits in B&M, no reeses advent calendars. Sad sad sad.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/10/2017 15:40

The B&M Candy canes are Proper Red&White not flabby pinky red that others are (Christmas is not the time to worry about E -numbers. )

They're strawberry aren't they?

FridgeCut · 07/10/2017 15:55

Yes! I don't like mint so nice to have an option and they are going to make an awesome elf toboggan.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2017 16:45

I didn’t get anything Christmassy today! I was on birthday cake detail for FiL and bits and bobs for school (bread and spread for a toast cafe and bits for DD to give for the harvest assembly for the food bank).

I have decided I want the cheese advent calendar though, once it’s in Asda!

leesmum · 07/10/2017 18:00

I managed to get a couple of the Reece's advent calendar a few weeks ago from B&M, I know from past experience to buy things when you see them in there.

A gin advent calendar (heads to Costco.).
I picked up the M&S food catalogue today and DH asked "why do you need that - it's October??".
I have a calendar for DD, one for me (but may get M&S as well) and am planning cereal for DS. I may buy the Matalan drawer one as I have an old cardboard one that I refill with nice chocolate each year.

It was a really autumnal day today with mist and beautiful leaf colours !

Minster2012 · 07/10/2017 21:42

I would LOVE a gin advent calendar but don't know anyone who is part of Costco SadEnvyAngry very sad right now

Might have to drown myself in Gin tonight to make up for it Sad

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2017 21:46

What about these instead?

Minster2012 · 07/10/2017 22:37

Oooooh fluffy I like your thinking! Though they would NEVER get near the tree though (could I then ponce those baubles into something else???)

NoWordForFluffy · 07/10/2017 22:52

Coloured liquid maybe instead?!

Minster2012 · 07/10/2017 23:07

Morning! What does everyone have planned for today?

sjd84 · 08/10/2017 07:54

It's a lovely autumn day here today, a nice walk in the woods planned, then to sit and look through presents I have brought already, as I've probably forgotten half of them!

Bornfreebutinbiscuits · 08/10/2017 08:56

FridgeCut · 08/10/2017 09:26

Is homesense good for christmas tabeware?

NoWordForFluffy · 08/10/2017 10:47

I’ve made some mince pies to use up the small amount of mincemeat that was left yesterday because it didn’t fill a full jar.

I’ve also made some buttercream and filled my FiL’s birthday cake as we are going round after lunch.

Otherwise it’s a fairly lazy day!
