I'm getting DS some solar system wall stickers for his room, and solar system fairy lights, and I'm tempted by this glowing moon.

She might like a space jigsaw, or Tim Peake's book "Goodnight Spaceman" or Usborne Look Inside Space.

Build a bear do bunnies - they may well do astronaut costumes

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 09/09/2017 23:02

Would she like a star named for her?

traffordtimes · 09/09/2017 23:06

If you're in the UK, try the space centre at Leicester. If you can visit, they have a nice planetarium type show suitable from about 5 I reckon, and lots else to see (and a souvenirs shop). Or try the website for space related toys.

Bonelessbanquet · 09/09/2017 23:09

Ive ordered this for DD as a stocking filler

DandelionAndBedrock · 09/09/2017 23:11

You can get a torch that projects space images (not sure exactly what) instead of a beam of light. Maybe Argos?

Ylvamoon · 09/09/2017 23:13

Yes, the space centre also has a pre Christmas programme, meet Santa 🎅 Elf... the lot! (If they still do it)

RatOnnaStick · 09/09/2017 23:16

What about a star projector for her bedroom? Or a nice pair of binoculars and stand to stargaze on clear winter evenings?

gamerchick · 09/09/2017 23:24

A projector or mural www.beddinginn.com/product/Fancy-Creative-Blue-Spacecraft-In-Space-Design-Waterproof-Decorative-3d-Floor-Murals-12701551.html

There are ceiling and wall stickers on the www.

Sorry I'm redoing the playroom as a space theme and have found some mint ideas my head exploded Grin

cheerylilthing · 09/09/2017 23:26

Gap have some nice space pjs at the moment & if you sign up to be a VIP you get 40% off (not sure when that expires though)

Ettavee does some lovely prints too, we have one which would fit in a space themed room. She's on Etsy

NeitherNowtNorSummat01 · 09/09/2017 23:33

Not cheap, but good

Assume you have a telescope already.
The science museum have some great toys

inchyrablue · 09/09/2017 23:38

DD has a brilliant astronaut quilt cover. It looks great on her bed and is nice quality. Astronaut

Notname · 09/09/2017 23:40

DS has this and it's brilliant,we paid about £70 for it (think we had a discount code) www.findmeagift.co.uk/gifts/laser-cosmos-star-projector.html

MessyHouse91 · 10/09/2017 10:19

Like @TraffordTimes said, she'd love the space centre in Leicester if you're nearby.
Last time I was there they were upgrading day tickets to annual passes if you agreed to gift aid your ticket - maybe worth looking into if they still do that?

inthewoodshed · 10/09/2017 20:00

Celestial Buddies! They're cuddly toy planets - pricey but very sweet and available on amazon.

Stompythedinosaur · 10/09/2017 20:16

I'm dying to get this space ship dolls house for dd1.

There's some good space playmobil out and dd1 already has and likes a moving model of the solar system.

The Usbourne Look Inside Space book is good too.

Annwithnoe · 11/09/2017 12:28

There's an astronaut themed outfit for Lottie dolls if she has one of those. And a stargazer doll

Snausage · 11/09/2017 13:14

DS loves space, too. I've got him the Playmobil space shuttle. Some of the ideas on here are great!

bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 11/09/2017 13:20

Wow some fab ideas thanks!! I'll get looking. Yes I was thinking build a bear and have just ordered an astronaut costume from eBay, they also had a karate suit so I've got that so bunny can come to karate as well as the moon!! Grin

My DS has a lovely globe - it's a standard globe during the day but when it's dark you switch on the light inside it and it turns into a star map. Really lovely gift.

houseofgiants · 12/09/2017 14:50

Can I suggest a voucher for the bunny if you go with build a bear (you could print off pic of a bunny from their website) they will put the gift card in a small box thing to make it more of a present.

Build a bear is so much about the making of the bear. Being given one isn't quite the same.
