Thank you, Advent Calendar reserved and waiting for pick up...

Fandabidozy · 11/09/2017 15:00

Wheesht, unfortunately not. I tried to talk her into the Dimples one as it looks nicer more substantial but she's adamant that she wants this one from Santa!

It's supposed to be her main present and i should take advantage of the cheap gifts really I suppose :o

Hi did I see on here last year or something that there was some kind of gin tasting offer...does anyone know? I have a gin loving relative to buy for. Thanks :)

BWatchWatcher · 11/09/2017 18:21

Craft gin club? www.craftginclub.co.uk/what-our-members-say-about-the-craft-gin-club/

Theimpossiblegirl · 11/09/2017 18:24

Good Houskeeping £6 for 6 issues and a free Emma Bridgewater Christmas mug (worth £22.50). Can be a gift subscription (or just a gift to yourself).
Here
Last year I cancelled the Direct Debit after receiving the Christmas issue but still got sent 12 issues.

JDSTER · 11/09/2017 18:52

I think it was mentioned positively on here at some point about Tinc advent calendars. We don't have a Tinc where I live so had to look it up but basically stationary stuff and last year I got the kids smiggle calendars which were a bit hit and miss. Anyway I got an email today from Tinc with 'early access' to the advent calendars so I've ordered and hoping they're good! I just signed up for the email alert on their website.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 11/09/2017 19:07

Thanks for the Magazine sub link, I got their great deal last year for a friend but have just decided I'd like this one for me.....the downside of this fab thread is stuff I like!
I'm desperately looking for bargains so that I can add something rather than lurking.

Reastie · 11/09/2017 19:07

Thanks for that impossible, have ordered for my aunt.

JD let me know what it's like when it arrives. I placed my first ever smiggle order last week and they've already been spamming me it feels like practically every day to buy more Hmm

Mama1980 couple of years ago I bought gin & whiskey tasting sets from flaviar.com after seeing an offer suggested on here- it was a referral scheme type thing but can't recall the details sorry

Mrsmadevans · 11/09/2017 19:31

I tried to buy the subscription to the mags , thanks Imp, I am a bit err because the bank details bit didn't have a padlock in the address bar/
I wonder if when you click to go further that it then goes to the padlock then ...anyone know thank you

Theimpossiblegirl · 11/09/2017 19:52

I didn't really pay attention to that as the address was from the letter they sent me and I did it last year. Just had a look and you're right, it has no padlock. I'm sure it's probably fine, but you can do it over the phone if preferred.

Mrsmadevans · 11/09/2017 19:56

Yes I am sure you are right but just to be sure I will ring thank you my dear it's a fabulous offer ....All for me !

Annwithnoe · 11/09/2017 20:23

The Smyths sale....
Is it definitely happening this Friday?
Has anyone heard if it's happening in RoI or NI?

AceyMcLaughlin · 11/09/2017 20:33

Not sure if this is a good deal or not, but thought I would post anyway! Men's Clinique travel minis £5 at boots, according to the comments on HotUkDeals these are tiny so be warned!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 11/09/2017 20:42

Do you reckon they'll be a better offer on the Good Housekeeping other then the mug....basically...will there be a better free gift stares lovingly at Joseph Joseph bowls from last year

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 11/09/2017 21:09

Thank you for heads up on the Playmobil calendar! Every year we fill a reusable calendar with chocs from Celebrations/Heroes etc which we inevitably end up scoffing and having to buy more tubs. You may have saved my Christmas waistline!

dizzygirl1 · 11/09/2017 22:36

I have been reading for the past few days....oh my.... I have found my people, my home! So exciting to get prepped for Christmas! Though we are off on holiday in few weeks and I know I can't properly start sorting it all out until we are back!!! Eeek!
Anyone know when Tesco Christmas delivery slots are available?
I currently have no idea what to get for dd10 and ds8! Possibly bikes but where from, what little bits too??? Feeling a bit unprepared! No proper family presents to purchase but DH eeek.
So exciting!

chicaguapa · 11/09/2017 22:45

I can't remember if unicorns are still popular but there are some Unicorn Fairy lights on Deal of the day on Amazon for £8.99 instead of £13.99 (haven't checked on camelcamelcamel if this is a genuine deal or not)

NoWordForFluffy · 11/09/2017 23:10

I book an online shop in about October and just keep putting it back / amending it until the Sainsbury's slots open, which is only 3 weeks' beforehand. (Though it may have been a tad earlier last year; I can't quite recall!) It means I don't have to plan a shop in the middle of the night when the slots open!

I think Tesco ones open late Oct / Nov for delivery pass holders.

AlwaysOldBeforeMyTime · 11/09/2017 23:13

Does anyone know when the next 25% off TU clothing will be please? I've got a nasty feeling I've just missed one and the kids need their winter pyjamas, gah!

torthecatlady · 11/09/2017 23:17

Thanks! Signed up for the good housekeeping deal! Never actually read the magazine before, but for the price, I can't complain! Must remember to cancel it! 😬

LostMyRubySlippers · 12/09/2017 04:10

always check the OP for TU dates. There was one mid Aug I think

Allhallowseve · 12/09/2017 06:53

Ooooh thanks the impossible girl just ordered good housekeeping for myself!
Those who have ordered as gifts how do you do it? Get it delivered to the recipients house in december? Before Xmas? Would like to get for mil but not sure how to work it as an Xmas gift....
Also when do you need to cancel direct debit .?

Badders08 · 12/09/2017 06:55

Oh! I'm so annoyed!
I ordered the good housekeeping last month! No gift for me :(
