Why have I never realised this was a thing before?! One of my favourite things in the world is getting into fresh sheets so the thought of getting into fresh new sheets with a Christmas theme on Christmas Eve has made me very happy!

Ds won't be out of his cot yet but will be on the look out for some toddler bed ones for next year. Will also have a newborn but probably won't do anything unless I spy a nice festive blanket.

I thought this might be a good place to post links to nice sets we see, both for adults and kids.

can you imagine the abuse I'd get if I accidentally posted this elsewhere!

Achica have got Super king festive bedding in.

Sodaface · 28/08/2017 17:08

Lol @ it being the warmest bank holiday!! We're in the northern most point of Ireland, it's been winter here for the last 4 weeks. Oh & that's the way I like it... anyway back to the point.

We have Christmas duvets, they go on, on the 1st Dec along with the rest of the decorations & the tree. We also do the "Christmas eve" box on this date filled with treats/dvds etc for one night a week we do games/jigsaws/films etc

We ❤️❤️❤️ Christmas

Dabisadancemove · 28/08/2017 17:14

Bought sets for everyone last year from ASDA. Bright ones for the kids and a subtle one for us (Super King!). They look great and washed well. Look forward to getting them out early Dec!

Dabisadancemove · 28/08/2017 17:15

The duvet sets obviously......though anything is possible at Christmas Wink

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 28/08/2017 17:19

Since when was this a thing?

Since retailers knew they could make money out of it Wink

Flowerpower321 · 28/08/2017 17:19

I got a brushed cotton superking set from Argos last year- came with a sheet and was only about £25. Kids have tartan sets from matalan which get used all year.

Payfrozen · 28/08/2017 17:43

My kids' duvet covers were from BHS - brushed cotton with snow scenes with either deer, bunnies or penguins. They go on December 1st and get used until about March. So winter covers really.

Anyway, if people want to spend the price of a single takeaway on lovely bedding that will last for years then it's up to them.

If people don't like it then don't read the Christmas thread Star Star Star

Childrens-rooms.co.uk they do some lovely childrens ones and they also do up to king size bedding too

Unicorn81 · 28/08/2017 19:10

I just realised last night i have 3 sets(no kids) lol. I got a nice red one from asda and a winter scene in the sale from asda too. A gorgeous santa one from matalan.

I start using them as soon as the tree goes up at the start of December

If you are feeling flush, I can recommend Cozee Home on the QVC website. I have a couple of sets of them and they are lovely to sleep in.
These are kids ones but I would have one if I could afford it! Xmas Grin :www.qvcuk.com/Cozee-Home-Childrens-Christmas-Print-Fleece-4-Piece-Duvet-Set.product.806007.html?sc=PRODFEED
These next two come in super king sized too: <a class="break-all" href="http://www.qvcuk.com/Cozee-Home-Geo-Fairisle-4-Piece-Fleece-Duvet-Set.product.805250.htmwww.qvcuk.com/Cozee-Home-Christmas-Print-Fleece-4-Piece-Duvet-Set.product.806008.html?sc=PRODFEEDl?sc=PRODFEED" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.qvcuk.com/Cozee-Home-Geo-Fairisle-4-Piece-Fleece-Duvet-Set.product.805250.htmwww.qvcuk.com/Cozee-Home-Christmas-Print-Fleece-4-Piece-Duvet-Set.product.806008.html?sc=PRODFEEDl?sc=PRODFEED

Matalan has Xmas duvets on their website 😁

singadream · 28/08/2017 23:17

I got the single bed set of this for my kids last year from Amazon as they were very into santa himself rather than Christmas per se and we all loved them. Can't wait to get them out in December.

Think I might treat myself to something scandi and funky for this year for my bed

IamChipmunk · 29/08/2017 07:17

sunshinesupermum how rude, coming into the christmas topic. Don't read the threads here if you are not interested!

I got a nice cot/toddler bed quilt cover for ds last year from Amazon it wasn't expensive, about £12 maybe.

Ours is king size and came from Debenhams but almost at Xmas so was reduced.

Matalan and Asda also had nice ones in last year Smile

Mmzz · 29/08/2017 07:20

How much storage space have you got to keep things like a bedding set for use just one day a year?

NoWordForFluffy · 29/08/2017 07:31

We all have baskets in our bedrooms (in the absence of an airing cupboard) with our own bedding in, so have ample storage space. It's not exactly bulky!

MiddleClassProblem · 29/08/2017 08:06

Weirdly Achica have just started a sale the day after this thread for Christmas duvets £15-30 depending on size for the sets, some nice choices.

73kittycat73 · 29/08/2017 08:17

I don't just use mine for one day. It comes out when the decorations do. Could be as early as the 6th November!

73kittycat73 · 29/08/2017 08:17

(Obviously gets washed, I have two sets. )

BiddyPop · 29/08/2017 08:42

DD's set gets used from about 1 Dec and washed a couple of times (usually grab it into the wash in the morning, throw it in tumble dryer as soon as we get it and it's back on the bed that night).

So for about 6-7 weeks use (and ''twas only about €20 2 years ago so already paid itself off), I am happy. There's plenty of wear in it yet, and we got a design that is not too young so DD is happy to keep using it.

Trudee · 29/08/2017 10:11

Dc's have a 'countdown to Christmas' set each that came from matalan a couple of years ago. Our elf brings it on Dec 1st along with advent calendars and books/dvds etc. I wash the bedding on a weekend, bung it in the tumble and get it back on the bed the same day.
I'm in the market for some Christmas bedding for my bed but I also want a new bed next year (super king as opposed to current king) so may have to leave it unless I find something really bargainous.

singadream · 29/08/2017 10:22

Trudee, I have a superking but the duvets (we have one each!) are doubles.

Pannalash · 29/08/2017 12:38

That's a really good idea singadream

SpanishFly · 29/08/2017 13:11

Asda for mine too - they're gorgeous, we have a red Scandi snowflake on for DS1, a Santa Mr Men one for DS2, and Dh and I have a gorgeous '50s style ladies ice skating design. They are great quality too.

And I definitely recommend putting them on 1st December and having them on (washed at various times, if you're that way inclinded Grin ) until the tree goes away. We always wash and iron them before putting away in the attic, so they go straight on the duvets when they come out the attic x
