Look at post two for some hopefully useful links/info.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have ordered a mosaic picture. Flowers

Cutesbabasmummy · 05/09/2017 10:47

Following with interest!

Soslowmo · 05/09/2017 11:03

And now it's back at £62 Mama! 😱

I'm sure the furby connects were £35 at Argos when they were also 3-4-2 ??? Might be worth a check.

NorthSouth · 05/09/2017 12:31

Just got back from our big Tesco and they had lots of toys half price - I specifically noticed lots of Sylvanian Families (car, house, school, supermarket, sweet shop, cake shop and some family sets) and also glittery full size hatchimals for about £32/33

Highmaintenancefemalestuff · 05/09/2017 12:36

Just found this for furby connect. Good price.

Soslowmo · 05/09/2017 12:48

Glittering garden hatchimals North??

halfthesize · 05/09/2017 14:06

Marking place

Penguinbeaver · 05/09/2017 14:13

So I've had a request from dd(5) for a chocolate lollipop maker! 😏 Any decent ones that work or ideas for me to put together a kit? Reluctant to pay £20+ for one...

CheekyFucker · 05/09/2017 14:27

@Penguinbeaver I agree, the sets are shite and expensive.
Look on Ali Express. They have lovely moulds and little jugs for melting chocolate. They also sell the covers and sticks, but best compare prices of these with Amazon.

margaritasbythesea · 05/09/2017 14:38

www.amazon.co.uk/Three-for-10-on-Selected-Paperbacks-Books/b?ie=UTF8&node=9337125031This&tag=mumsnetforum-21 is the link for the amazon 3 for ten pounds on papeerbacks.

margaritasbythesea · 05/09/2017 14:46

That´s what I did too PenguinBeaver - I then put it in a nice box with oneof those haribo cake decoration boxes and a sprinkle shaker from the supermarket. Kids were happy.

MrsGotobed · 05/09/2017 14:46

Any other teenage backpack offers would be much appreciated as my bargainous Converse 50% off sale backpack has arrived and both DC love it!

I had intended it to be for DS as a present but made the mistake of showing DD to check that DS would like it and she likes it too!

Chickpearocker · 05/09/2017 15:03

Thank you for the hobby craft felt tree idea. I signed up for the 15%off newsletter which has taken a little off the postage charge

NorthSouth · 05/09/2017 15:15

SoSlowMo - looking at amazon I think they were, had children in tow so it was all a bit quick!

NextInLine · 05/09/2017 15:53

Chocolate lolly moulds on eBay are quite cheap.

lolly mould

My local pound shop had different coloured chocolate drops, and the lolly pop sticks are about £1.
I'm doing the same thing for my dd as I refuse to pay £20+ for some plastic tat that will probably be rubbish. Should be able to do a whole set with multiple moulds, loads of chocolate and sprinkles etc for half the price.

Tiggles · 05/09/2017 16:09

The Top trumps star wars quiz is cheaper at Amazon. My DS absolutely loves this game, and is one of the few games where he can genuinely beat me Grin.

Freezingwinter · 05/09/2017 16:22

I brought the hobbycraft felt Christmas tree today for £6

The lady in the shop showed me they also have felt snow globes this year

They are massive and really good quality, very pleased!

SockEatingMonster · 05/09/2017 16:43

I was looking at the gorgeous but pricey duplo-compatible Hubelino marble runs for my little niece when I came across this apparently duplo-compatible marble run at £13.49. I don't think the 'discount' is genuine, but the reviews are, and they are all really good!

MamaMiaBebe · 05/09/2017 16:50

penstemon Furby Connect are basically virtual pets, you feed them and play with them. It connects to an app which I think allows it to download updates so what it does and what it sings changes. I think there are games to play on the app. It has a sleep mask so you can put it to sleep when it becomes too annoying. Furbies interact and talk to each other so even better if you have one for each kid. The eyes are like miniature screens so they have loads of expressions.

Soslowmo thanks for the Argos tip!

TryingtobePrepared · 05/09/2017 17:37

Does anyone know when amazon are next likely to drop the price on the kindle fire? Ironically missed the weekend deal as the tablet I tried to order on ( & need to replace ) crashed. Thanks

Sophiealice95 · 05/09/2017 17:45

I think they will have an offer on all the Kindles for 'Black Friday' deals which if I remember are the day after thanksgiving in America .

Snooky17 · 05/09/2017 17:50

Hatchimals matching game just appeared on my fb page looks quite good for £15 with free delivery here

Sophiealice95 · 05/09/2017 17:50

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B00Y3TM6CO?ie=UTF8&condition=used&tag=mumsnetforum-21
They have warehouse deals on too

ConorMcGregorsChin · 05/09/2017 18:15

For anyone looking for a kindle Fire, I bought 3 from QVC. They were £35 each. I'm amazed at how good they are. Essentially a tablet. And I paid £400 for a flipping Samsung tablet!

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 05/09/2017 18:38

freezingwinter please can you post a link of the felt snowglobe from hobbycraft, I can't find it online.
