Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

Very intrigued by hexbugs. It's the kind of thing I would have liked as a kid. Pls shout if you see any good deals!

Cagliostro · 02/08/2017 08:57

Ooh yes to the hexbugs. That's been consistently mentioned by the Caglets for a while now and I'm struggling for ideas this year.

Also when and where does one look for magazine sub deals? DD had Discovery Box last year which is amazing but they've taken it off clubcard deals :( particularly looking for Phoenix comic, Eco Kids, The Week Junior and Whizz Pop Bang if anyone has any leads Thanks

While I'm here if anyone knows where/when to look for big baby items (DC3 due November) I'd be very grateful, play mat, bouncy chair and all that stuff that I never thought we'd need again Blush)

Cagliostro · 02/08/2017 08:58

I don't have anything useful to add myself today though! Very grateful to the thread Thanks

WinchSparkle · 02/08/2017 09:12

If anyone shops at Ocado, under stationery they have lots of items half price or 25% currently. I just ordered loads of stationery stocking fillers 😊

WinchSparkle · 02/08/2017 09:15

Oh and the important link:

I'm looking at the hexbugs too, I think DD2 might like them. I'm not sure I really get it though. What would I need as a 'starter kit'? A couple of bugs and something for them to live in/run around? Any recommendations for me to add to camelcamelcamel?

Pages and pages of Free downloadable comics including superman, Captain America, Ninja turtles, Wonderwoman etc, fantastic for all your teens that love to read on their devices.

wornoutboots · 02/08/2017 11:13

toysforapound is like any pound shop - some of it is really good quality, some is a bit crappy.

MelinaMercury · 02/08/2017 11:20

We had Hexbugs nano before and you can just put them in any flat surface to rattle around, if you use the tanks with tubes to climb etc you'll need the Nano V2 as these have rubber grips on their backs.

I got DS a Hexbugs scarab for £8.99 instead of £14.99 on Amazon this week, it's about the size of a toddlers hand and looks cool but obviously haven't used yet as it's a stocking filler.

Also got Bugs in the kitchen from Toys r us for £16.99 instead of £24.99 which is a board game centred around trapping the included Nano bug.

My soon to be 4 year old son loves zomblings, or little toys like this.

Anyone know of any offers for sets? The bus is £25 in argos but for what they are, it's a rip off

Vistaverde · 02/08/2017 12:08

Crimbo Thank you for the Argos link. I spotted these Star War PJs which my son will love.

Talking about Star Wars I have just spotted this direct.asda.com/george/kids/fancy-dress/star-wars-death-trooper-fancy-dress-costume/G005547646,default,pd.html#choice:productType Stormtrooper Costume]].

Mallowmarshmallow · 02/08/2017 12:19

I'm not sure if anyone else has already fed back but my Breaking Bad trousers (for tricky brother) have arrived and look like quite nice quality.
They do look quite wide on the waist....

MrsCrimbo74 · 02/08/2017 12:29

Re: Pyjamas, I've mentioned this before but character.com have got a few clearance bits left on pyjamas, clothes, swim shorts etc. and the ones that I've received are good quality. For football fans they've got chelsea and arsenal pyjama sets for £2.95 although both only in 12-13 years left

FoofFighter · 02/08/2017 13:44

Rockhopper81 · 02/08/2017 13:54
