Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

bugaboo would your MiL like the watches someone just shared? They're usually very expensive but at £30 (instead of £100) that could be her present in one! Maybe add a giant Yankee candle at half price?

sepsisandAKI · 01/08/2017 17:38

Just bought this for my fire engine lego obsessed 2 and half year old. Seems a good deal.

Welcome Bugaboo :o

I don't know if your ASD child likes to sit and focus but those light up fish bubble lamps are popular with some of the children in my workplace to help them relax. It's not a toy but just a thought for a sensory experience. Maybe a weighted blanket, Wubble ball and/or Bright Lights cushion would work too?

For hamper how about making it themed around a hobby, gardening? reading? Etc. You can get lots of bits from pound shops/Amazon and maybe chuck in a relevant magazine subscription using Tesco vouchers or on offer.

For MIL if be tempted to buy bugger all do as Moo said and get a Radley watch (Debenhams, £99 down to £30ish), a cheap Amazon scarf and maybe a half price candle from Boots or Clinton's. Then you can be smug spending £50 and letting her think she's getting way more :o

Whilst refusing to buy for Christmas till last of the family birthdays are done in august I'm already tracking ideas from this thread.

Wornoutboots the bits from the toys for a pound shop are they really obvious break in 5 mins bits or slightly better than that before I go mad on the site ?

NeitherNowtNorSummat01 · 01/08/2017 19:59

Trollspoopglitter- thank you for that link. My son has a birthday at the end of August and I've just kitted out his whole party bag. Thank you

FireflyGirl · 01/08/2017 20:11

Was Jack Wills a popular brand with teenaged girls? I can't remember.

Anyway, there's a scarf gift set £20 reduced from £50 in the Boots sale.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/08/2017 20:12

Woohoo. Thanks

No idea what I'm getting anyone but can't resist a bargain thread.

haven't just place marked, honest

Redfire · 01/08/2017 20:14

Thankyou (I think!) to whoever pointed out Lisa Angel. I've somehow missed that before, but I've just accidentally bought one or two bits for hols next week. No idea how that happened Wink

VoldemortsNipple · 01/08/2017 21:02

I've just bought a couple of personalised hook signs from Lisa Angel. I've just started selling handmade baby clothes so it will be lovely for photos. I also got one for dgd hair bows. I'll just attach some ribbon from each hanger. £2.40 with free delivery here They would make nice presents for teens too I think.

magic dip starter pack £5. There are some gems in the boots sale but you have to scroll through the 90% out of stock items which is a pain

woodwaj · 01/08/2017 21:18

Bugaboo take a look at this website. Great for SEN. Not bargainous though!

lilbits

TheImprobableGirl · 01/08/2017 21:21

Glad you found someone who will love the Breaking Bad trousers too moopoint , I'm also on the lookout for Game of Thrones pjs and possibly some more HP related nightwear for me someone geeky I know Wink

christmasunicorn · 01/08/2017 21:45

Primark does Harry Potter pj's. I haven't spotted game of thrones ones though they did have a GoT t shirt last week so maybe they will come. I hope so too for me, I'm sure my dh will find them just as attractive as he does my little mermaid pjs (he hates GoT)

frid · 01/08/2017 21:51

Does anyone know of any discount Xmas jumpers that don't reference alcohol?

Tattybogle89 · 01/08/2017 22:01

@TheImprobableGirl Asda George has ladies Harry Potter marauder map pjs for £15 that are nice 😀

Mipe · 01/08/2017 22:33

Ja9r if the preteen girls like Pusheen then Primark have loads of stuff at the moment, we got pyjamas, socks, some t-shirts and a jumper and they also had slippers and fleece blankets. They are in the grown up section but we bought size 6-8 and they fit my 11 year old perfectly Smile.

Mipe · 01/08/2017 22:38

Bugaboo what about one of these ultraviolet bubble gun? Smile

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 01/08/2017 22:38

Regressionconfession · 01/08/2017 22:45

Playmobil Noah's arc 123 and carry along dolls house are both £15 and on the 3 for 2 deal at argos. They're fab sets and quite substantial. I've stocked up for nieces and nephews!

Also noticed one of the playmobil fairy sets and a knight set were both in the clearance at a good price. Plus the duplo number train is £10.99 and also in 3 for 2.

Regressionconfession · 01/08/2017 22:46

Also, Claire's have an online deal where you buy three and get three free. As far as I can see it includes everything on their website except beanie boos. Free click and collect.

Bobbiepin · 01/08/2017 22:54

Placemarking

Regressionconfession · 01/08/2017 23:09

The octopod from the Octonauts is £22.99 on Argos whereas Amazon is showing it at £35. Seems like a good deal.

If you've got an octonaut fan you can get the figures cheap from China .. I paid about £2 for a set which included all of them - even Tunip! Just search on eBay and filter by cheapest.

Regressionconfession · 01/08/2017 23:13

Last one ... my local Poundland has hot wheels Star Wars vehicles for £1. There were loads of different ones to choose from.

Scaredycat3000 · 01/08/2017 23:14

Pixl's on Amazon

Pixl's on toys for a pound

They talk to each other and they have their own website

Thankyou for the website, thought I'd flag this up.

Mipe · 01/08/2017 23:30

Have ordered some £1 Pixl's, just hoping they won't all be the same colour! Grin
