I vote no broccoli

noelheadBandAid · 23/12/2016 13:44

I wouldn't have broccoli on a Xmas dinner

ICanTuckMyBoobsInMyPockets · 23/12/2016 13:45

I would say the delivery did you a favour.

Broccoli with Christmas dinner is all sorts of wrong.

GetTheeBehindMeSanta · 23/12/2016 13:45

You don't need three green vegetables with a roast dinner. Forget the broccoli.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 23/12/2016 13:45

When I mentioned broccoli for Christmas dinner, DH's face was a picture. 'Broccoli? For Christmas dinner? That's not Christmas food????!!' he spluttered! Nobody will notice the absence of broccoli on your table I'm sure.

lovelearning · 23/12/2016 13:46

will i live it down? Smile

NormaSmuff · 23/12/2016 13:48

aw, thank you all Grin

ScarletOverkill · 23/12/2016 13:50

I once forgot the roast parsnips!
I am still not allowed to forget it Xmas Sad

vvviola · 23/12/2016 13:52

In our house you wouldn't but that's because there's no celery, cauliflower and marrowfat peas on your list.

The parsnips would be given to the dog

Grin
NormaSmuff · 23/12/2016 14:04

marrowfat peas Envy vom Wink
oh, cauliflower,
do i need cauliflower?

i probably might do leeks in butter

vvviola · 23/12/2016 14:26

I'm pretty sure the parsnips balance out the lack of cauliflower Grin

It's amazing the difference in what parts of Christmas dinner are considered essential by different people Xmas Smile

OccasionalNachos · 23/12/2016 14:28

I did get broccoli but it's going into tonight's salmon & broccoli pasta! Sprouts & cabbage are the only green veg needed for Xmas dinner.

TroysMammy · 23/12/2016 14:29

Broccoli and gravy, no, it's wrong.

allegretto · 23/12/2016 14:30

What are greens?

notaflyingmonkey · 23/12/2016 14:31

the green you are looking for is brussel sprouts. Waitrose have reduced them to 40p a bag!

You're welcome!

Astro55 · 23/12/2016 14:33

What are greens?

Any green vegetable - peas beans etc

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 23/12/2016 14:36

I'd say 'greens' were kale and spinich.

I feed my bunny 'greens'.

I'm doing broccoli with Christmas dinner.

Broccoli has no place in a Christmas dinner Shock

You've done your family a favour there Wink

showmetheminstrels · 23/12/2016 14:44

NOT any green vegetable!

woops, i have failed on the vegetable front for christmas day.
Patriciathestripper1 · 23/12/2016 14:48

Who puts broccoli on a Christmas dinner??😮

ginauk84 · 23/12/2016 14:54

We love our veggies and have:
Sprouts
Brocoli
Cauliflower
Cabbage
Carrots
Parsnips

I prefer the veg to the meat so we always have a good selection.

newbeginnings16 · 23/12/2016 15:23

Wow .. carrots sprouts and parsnips will do .. mind they will be war when I don't give cauliflower cheese 😂 never mind !

Astro55 · 23/12/2016 15:25

Broccoli has no place in a Christmas dinner

That's just bullying - 😂

HerChristmasFattyness · 23/12/2016 15:29

My mums doing
Carrots.
Peas
Cauliflower (not Cauliflower cheese. Cauliflower cheese and gravy is bleurgh)
Sprouts

ChickenPoop · 23/12/2016 15:30

For me the essential Christmas veg are peas, sprouts, carrots, parsnips and potatoes. No need for cabbage. Cauliflower, only if you are making cauliflower cheese.

You can scrap the broc.
