I've finished work until after Christmas, DS has arrived already but Christmas will truly begin when DD, SiL and DGS arrive on Friday. All my chicks will be back in the nest Xmas Smile DH and I just can't wait to pull up the drawbridge and step off the world for a couple of days.

Merry Christmas everyone Xmas Grin

Tonight at 5pm when DH and I finish work for Christmas. Can't wait!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 22/12/2016 05:44

It started Tuesday at 5pm for me.

Finished work for 2 weeks (after 17 years in retail this is a huge novelty). Went straight over to my DMs who did us a lovely dinner.

Yesterday was chilling with my DD, house is clean and ready, food order arrives Friday, guests arrive Saturday.

Feel the most Christmassy ever!

AntiQuitty · 22/12/2016 05:53

When my mum arrives on Friday!

blueskyinmarch · 22/12/2016 05:54

Probably around lunchtime on Friday. DD2 is already home from uni, DH finishes up at work on Thursday. On Friday morning we are doing our food shop, collecting the turkey and picking up DD1 from the airport. Once I am home after all that Christmas can begin!

LieInRequired · 22/12/2016 06:38

On Friday, when we are in the plane flying to Lapland.
CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

MuggleWuggle · 22/12/2016 06:49

Today! I finished work on Friday, both Dd's yesterday. Today we are staying in all day and going to watch a film, do face masks & paint nails & wrap presents to Xmas music. Xmas Smile

Last day at work today. Don't have to be in till Boxing Day now😃 might get the santa train into Perth later to watch the nativity play

AllTheBabies · 22/12/2016 07:01

I feel like mine started yesterday when dd1 finished school. I am working Xmas eve morning but it'll be a nice shift because the boss is off so I'm not bothered about it.

mirokarikovo · 22/12/2016 07:09

Well to some extent we're already there as we had our first of 3 Christmas family meals yesterday, with much present giving etc, because of various people including us needing to be with different bits of family on the day itself.

However yesterday wasn't the start of 'Christmas' - it was a lovely family meal of course and we played consequences afterwards - but it won't be really really Christmas until I sing "Yea Lord we greet thee, born this happy morning" at midnight mass on Saturday night.

abeandhalo · 22/12/2016 07:11

We both finish today, unfortunately we've got the work Xmas do this evening but as soon as we get home from that I think it will feel like Xmas! So excited, we are in need of a break!

FrogTime · 22/12/2016 07:12

4pm on Saturday. That's when I'll get home from work. Xmas will finish 7am on 27th

AndShesGone · 22/12/2016 07:14

This morning Smile Dh's first day off (when he wakes up)

RhinestoneCowgirl · 22/12/2016 07:22

I just did my last bit of paid work yesterday (and it involved carols and handing out mince pies to bemused passers by). The office is now closed. Also DH and kids got back from visiting family last night, I'd been on my own since Saturday. DH is working today, and I am entertaining his mother but then we will be all together for DD's birthday tomorrow.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 22/12/2016 07:23

DH finishes work lunch time today so should be then but I fell off yesterday and have whiplash and concussion so that will put a bit of a dampener on things Sad

Sirzy · 22/12/2016 07:24

Noon today when I pick ds up from school to go and watch Chitty Chitty

foxessocks · 22/12/2016 07:25

This afternoon as soon as dh finishes work. He is then off until January. We plan to have a quiet day today but will watch Christmas films and then tomorrow we start visiting various people!

OSETmum · 22/12/2016 07:34

3pm today when ds finally finishes school! Me and dh are off already, so we're just waiting for ds and getting ready.

playmobilpeacock · 22/12/2016 07:35

When DH gets home from work tomorrow evening I hope.

In reality it will be at some point on Christmas Eve, after I've done the final food shop. I can't do it any sooner and it's stressing me out.

hugoagogo · 22/12/2016 07:38

When I wake up on Sunday.

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 22/12/2016 07:40

Tomorrow when DSS arrives!

WizardLizard · 22/12/2016 08:05

This morning when OH gets up. Smoked salmon bagels for breakfast. DS and I are already watching Father Christmas and The Snowman. Feeling very Christmassy!

BikeRunSki · 22/12/2016 08:10

Friday lunchtime.
Office closes at noon, but the dc are going to the panto with holiday club.
I'll have a few hours to myself. Woo!

Food is being delivered tonight, presents are wrapped. Just need a bit of peace and quiet.

QuiltedAloeVera · 22/12/2016 08:11
