Not anything major but I've mislaid a Pokemon plush. £3 from China but it's still bothering me.

I have a set of wizard / unicorn/ etc ornaments for the Christmas tree.
One year the large white wizard went missing.
My brother had been admiring them, and he has an all white tree.
I complained year after year, as I'm really particular about putting them away in original box. My main worry was it had fallen out in the loft and then we had room built up there, so was positive that it lay under the new floor.
About 5 years later, after brother had been round again, it re appeared on the tree. ( funny how in the meantime I was never allowed into the room with his tree!!)

I've lost a parrot (Norwegian blue). Bought it in a sale several years ago for Python obsessed son.

WhoKn0wsWhereTheMistletoes · 22/12/2016 23:21

Still haven't found my advent calendar Sad. On the plus side, I have finally found the folder where I keep all my Christmas recipes, timings for the turkey, shopping lists etc, could have really done with it about a week ago, better late than never.

blankmind · 22/12/2016 23:29

I've lost half a Stollen. We ate the first half last week, I secured the wrapper with a clip and I put it away and can't find it anywhere.

RJnomore1 · 22/12/2016 23:40

I'm scared to ask about the status of the parrot ?

iPhone earphones for my SIL. Bought last year for Christmas and I still haven't found them!

I'm so glad we now live in a house with a good cupboard under the stairs to hide wrapped presents in. Before, we lived in a flat and every Christmas Eve, DP would bath the kids whilst I emptied out bedrooms of presents and put them in the cupboard in the living room. Was a PITA once we'd finally start wrapping after the kids were asleep to remember I'd left things in the bedrooms! More so my youngest, as she shared with us and is a light sleeper!

Now we have to wait for my excitable 10 year old DS to finally goto sleep before we can empty the downstairs cupboard. Won't be so bad this year as everything is pretty much wrapped, just one or two things. And only one bag not labelled, but paper is blue/pink to avoid the confusion of 2 years ago. Our first Christmas in this house. I couldn't remember whose was what gift on about 10 Blush think I only got 2 or 3 wrong though Grin

A few years ago I wrapped and lost a pair of converse for my son. I stressed so much about it and I was driving myself crazy. On Christmas morning they were the first present he opened.

MrsJayy · 23/12/2016 09:23

Urgh cant find a bottle of perfume for dd2 I have just sorted presents and it isnt there I bought it black friday but it was the only thing i bought where is it

UKcanuck · 23/12/2016 11:31

Harry Potter colouring book and pencil crayons. Bought for DD's birthday in November and hidden and couldn't find it in time. "Never mind, it will turn up in time for Christmas!" I carolled merrily (and inwardly). Has it?

Has it heck.

BarbaraofSeville · 23/12/2016 12:28

The toy I bought for my first grand-nephew's first christmas (God that makes me feel old, but not as old as my younger sister who is a Granny now). I realised yesterday I hadn't seen it since I bought it a few weeks ago and it's not in the pile of presents I got out last night to start wrapping.

traviata · 23/12/2016 13:43

RJ I think you know what kind of parrot it is....

ProudBadMum · 23/12/2016 13:44

I have 2 presents currently in a safe place

arrrrghhwinehelpswithteens · 23/12/2016 20:38

Currently down to 3 in a safe place. DH insists he knows where it is. Having wrapped everything else I am assisting some wine in its quest to disappear

whimsical1975 · 23/12/2016 21:04

I can't find a DVD for DD, and a shirt and a pair of shorts for DH... I have one more day to find them - guess what i'll be doing tomorrow

Equimum · 23/12/2016 21:16

I've lost a packet of bath crayons that we're due to go in DS1s stocking. On reflection, though, I'm not so sure that's a bad thing!

thegirlinthecar · 23/12/2016 21:22

A book for dd , it's called the Christmas Eve tree. I was looking forward to reading it damnit !

Mallowmarshmallow · 23/12/2016 22:56

Two lego mugs although I can't be 100% they were delivered. I vaguely remember seeing them but have two small children and can't be certain I didn't dream it.

In a similar fashion, I thought I had lost two giant beach balls for said small children which turned up in the post today.

bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 23/12/2016 23:51

Noooooo. I had completely forgotten today when dd mentioned a book she had asked for. It's an old book she saw at a friends house, she didn't know the name but knew santa coukd sort it. was hard work to find and the first copy I ordered got lost in the post..... Now I've lost the other copy. Sad I feel I must have wrapped it but I'm fairly sure I haven't....

Drquin · 23/12/2016 23:56

The personalised Nutella label for my sister. Gutted as I bought it so early, was so organised .... and have obviously put it in a really safe place Confused

Drquin · 24/12/2016 00:05

Also the eBay purchase that I realised hadn't arrived and I was about to tell the seller so ...... but it still at Argos, from where I was supposed to collect it several weeks ago Grin
Not sure if I can face Argos tomorrow ......

Boogers · 24/12/2016 00:08

I know I bought DS a Spongebob bubble bath set a few years ago, and I thought I was being really organised in buying it in September and hiding it somewhere safe, but I've never found it. I think DS was 7 at the time. He's now 13. Xmas Blush

PaulAnkaTheDog · 24/12/2016 00:12

My mum hides and loses presents every year. Works out to my advantage! If she bought it the year before it doesn't get included into the cost of my presents. Hello massive No.7 box and Gucci perfume! Grin

Seriously though, she's terrible for it, she buys throughout the year and hides things, then forgets. This year she has found a smashbox makeup set, a soap and glory box, Viktor and Rolf perfume, Yankee candles and a whole bunch of other stuff. It's mental!

73kittycat73 · 24/12/2016 02:03

Found the glasses chain! Xmas Grin It got in with my brothers Christmas presents. All now present and correct. Good luck to all you still looking!
