Not anything major but I've mislaid a Pokemon plush. £3 from China but it's still bothering me.

DHs new slippers.

I know I have the rest of his presents as I accidentally left them on the bed for him to see yesterday evening Blush.

I've a feeling the slippers may have ended up in a bag for the womens aid shoebox collection (I was a collection point). The co ordinator did find cards sent to me by my sister in a bag I dropped off so it really is a possibility.

I also lost all my family cards I bought in September from card market.

gah.

Have just been doing my nut searching for some slippers a sister bought for her daughter and had sent here, since they are coming from the US for Christmas. She ordered the wrong (US) size at first, so I had to send back and re order - and now I can't find them!! Have a horrible feeling I threw a box out thinking it was empty - they are so light - since I had ordered a couple of pairs for presents myself.
Have now had to re-order and have sent to the place we're all going for Christmas - and pray they arrive in time. Can't believe I can have been so bloody stupid!

And it was all going so smoothly until now!
(They will probably turn up later, though God knows where...)

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 20/12/2016 15:24

Might have known. Just half an hour after the panic re-order, I realised that I'd probably passed them to brother and SiL, where my sister will be visiting first.
One phone call later to check, panic over.
Managed to cancel the re order, too!
Major phew.

Ah-ha. DHs slippers have been found. In DDs wardrobe. Think I'll just chuck everything in there next year. Grin

I lost DS main prez yesterday some bloody expensive computer game, found it in the end (safe place - on top of wardrobe not In loft or garage with everything else) but it totally derailed my productive day!

MargaretCabbage · 21/12/2016 14:01

I bought some threading beads for my toddler, they were cheap but really nice. I can't find them anywhere. DH is convinced I must have wrapped them so will have to wait and see on the big day!

Ptolemie · 21/12/2016 14:36

Not a gift but my husband put our decorations away last year and now we cannot find our santa plate and stockings.

RJnomore1 · 21/12/2016 18:38

Oh dear @hatchimal. That's a sore one!

Bought DC tree baubles that you can open. Each day the Xmas fairy puts a chocolate coin in them. DD has lost hers so Xmas fairy is not coming back till it's found.

FloralBarbourCoat · 22/12/2016 13:06

Believeit- it can be hit and miss. I order things from ioffer a lot and had some things that have either broken really quickly or clothes that are obviously fake.

I buy my UGGs from there though for £15 and they are super snug and last the year with frequent wear- even in the summer as our house does get chilly.

Twinkletowedelephant · 22/12/2016 13:08

Some of the best memories I have if my mum are from when I was a teen and around march April time she would present me with a small pile of gifts Santa forgot to bring xxx

Thanks for making me smile again today :)

ja9r · 22/12/2016 17:35

A new phone cover for DS. Last saw on windowsill in padded envelope. Xbox game for friends son. Annoyed as I ordered 2 by mistake and was on the ball enough to send one back. Now have none. We've been having an extension built and the house is caos. Could be in any random drawer, bag or other safe place . Grrr. I hate looking for things- such an annoying use of time!

Lost a jacket I bought for daughter age 6 many years ago ( she's now 24). Convinced was in the grey delivery bag hung up in wardrobe. Could not find it.
Granny searched too couldn't find it.
Searched well into the small hours & went to bed.
It was there all the time. In a BLUE bag.
Convinced was grey & brain just could not see the blue one. Discovered it in time for her birthday 17th January.

HunterofStars · 22/12/2016 20:47

Last year I bought a lovely pendant for my sister. I couldn't find it anywhere so I had to order her another one, which didn't arrive until after Xmas so I bought her some earrings instead. She got the replacement pendant for her birthday. I still haven't found the lost original pendant Xmas Blush Xmas Grin

Last night a packet of after eights magically disappeared & currently Christmas Day wine is making a disappearing act 😂

MycatsaPirate · 22/12/2016 20:55

Chocolate tree decorations. If that's the only thing missing I'll be relieved.

One year I bought easter eggs and hid them. Two days before Easter I couldn't find them and had to buy more.

They turned up in August.

RJnomore1 · 22/12/2016 21:03

Well in a slight twist of events I have FOUND two boxes of fudge I bought at the Christmas fair and tucked away.

Two days after I asked my friends daughter who is studying st Edinburgh uni to bring me another box of fudge.

I mean boxes of bars of hand made fudge btw - I will end up with just under 3 kilogram of fudge.

😳🐷

A few weeks ago I lost my Citizen eco drive watch. I have searched high and low, it seems to have dematerialised.

bluebellsparklypants · 22/12/2016 21:13

A 47" Led Hd tv. ....

How just how???

Ginkypig · 22/12/2016 21:19

Well I found a hoodie for dss in the top of the wardrobe after wrapping a bloody hoodie I got because I'd forgotten about the first one!

I could wear it myself but it's a xl and will be way too big.

NoCapes · 22/12/2016 21:26

A tree!
We have a tree in the living room, and one in the playroom, they never go anywhere but the loft or the rooms they stand in - can I find the one for the playroom? Can I?! Can I balls! Ended up going out last week and buying a real one that takes up half the room Hmm

My Mum always gives us a present for Easter that she bought us for Xmas and couldn't find, and I usually get a present at Xmas that she's forgotten to give me for my birthday in October Xmas Grin
