I finished ours today - a bit early but we're having a party this weekend and it won't get eaten otherwise. Has anyone else done theirs yet?

I gave 5yr old DD a silver icing pen and some star shaped cookie cutters and let her get on with it.

No one here likes Christmas cake so I will be doing a chocolate Maltesers cake (looks like a Christmas pud) and for DH a creme pat tart

oooh, lovely. I haven't made a cake but really want to see what you've all done. I could show you the packet of shop-bought mince pies but that's not really in the spirit, is it?

I'm icing mine tomorrow so will be sure to come back. Dr has asked for a frozen else cake so breaking from tradition this year

This is the one my DD did in honour of all the starry nights she has seen since the baby was born.

And to carry the theme through our sunroom where we will have Christmas dinner.

Wow! what a lot of beautiful cakes.

DS will be decorating our cake today. It is a traditional Christmas cake with royal icing. The decorations on the top will be FC and a reindeer wearing shades and riding a jet ski, a Christmas tree and a red post box with a snowy top and a robin on it.

Ours is a fruitcake Wilting - I never thought I liked them as my parents make a really dark heavy one but mines quite light and quite moreish.

Here is mine.

Mine is going to be plain white fondant iced. I tried to use the scraps to make a tree from stacked stars. It looked great (by my standards) when first combined, but over the past 2 days has melted and splodged into something I think is best for the bin
