Thread 20 - I want a present shitting log

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 08/12/2016 12:27

Nope, I have no idea what a present shitting log is either.

See post 2 for links etc and note the addition of a link with more info to the mn Christmas appeal, a very good cause if you're looking to donate to charity this Christmas time.

Can anyone recommend a decent but not too pricey kids CD player? I'd like DS to have one to listen to audiobooks.

Or does anyone know of any deals in shops that are likely to sell them?

TIA :)

Shopkins Tall Mall is at £21.74. It's lowest ever price according to CCC

confuugled1 · 15/12/2016 23:57

forest we got ds2 a nice simple sony cd radio from sainsburys - it's good because if he listens to it at night, it switches itself off completely. Ds1 has something similar but it doesn't switch itself off properly so I always need to do it if he listens to somethign when he goes to sleep...

I think this is the one we got - you can also get it from amazon and elsewhere. Think I paid about £40 for it; the price seems to wobble between £40 and £70.

Just saw this thread in chat, and thought it might be of use here, especially so close to the big day...

Ihatethecold the Teapigs code is OBONAS16, gives £15 off £25 until 31/12 but not valid on some items. 3DEL gives free delivery BUT the codes don't stack (I tried a few times!)

SomethingOfTheNight · 16/12/2016 09:31

mammy, search for SanDisk mp3 on Amazon, £24.99. I got two for my girls birthday last week. They are tiny tho, not much bigger than my thumb Xmas Confused.

Thank you attic for the M&S jigsaw, perfect for my dad Flowers.

WheresTheBaileysCoffee · 16/12/2016 09:33

I know the feeling confuugled1! I'd all but finished my shopping by November. Now with a week to go, I've written no cards or planned any food shopping etc. I'm panic rapping gifts each evening for whoever I'm seeing the next day Xmas Confused

WheresTheBaileysCoffee · 16/12/2016 09:34

Xmas Blush wrapping

youokayhun · 16/12/2016 09:34

The joys of Christmas when you lay awake most of the night worrying yourself sick about the whole thing Hmm

AFingerofFudge · 16/12/2016 09:37

Baileys am loving the idea of panic rapping!! Xmas Grin

New Santa list appeared last night. Not going to happen as Santa is already wrapped but granny has still to get them presents. But I have no idea what they are - can any one help?

  1. A ball thing like a marble run where the marble goes round
  2. A spy camera thing to go on tv so you can see your hands and other stuff

Any ideas anyone?!

Questionsquestionsquestions · 16/12/2016 10:27

This littlereindeer?

boomshaketheroom · 16/12/2016 10:31

Does anyone know of any m and s codes floating about? Husband wants to do a big order and was about to go ahead paying full price-noooo! Or, does anyone know when the next 20% period will be? Seemed to be thick and fast a while ago but have now lost tracks! Thanks very muchly

butterflymum · 16/12/2016 10:32

Could (1) be an Addictaball (or one of the many 'copies')?

yumyumpoppycat · 16/12/2016 10:37

littlereindeer I did a snort at spy camera where you can see your hands and stuff. What on earth is that?

My eldest dc said to me last week (having done lists in nov) mummy santa doesn't know what I REALLY want for xmas, shall I tell you what I want' - for the first time ever I said no! They were shocked.

insan1tyscartching · 16/12/2016 10:45

I wish dd would come up with some sort of list tbh. She has asked for 1 pokemon cuddly so far.I did say to her without ideas she would get surprises to which she answered "well if I haven't mentioned it you can be sure I don't want it Hmm" Hoping that some of the surprises are just things she hadn't thought of Confused in that case.

Badders123 · 16/12/2016 10:57

I twitched on the bloody sharpies from tesco yesterday!
Too good a bargain to pass up....and ds2 will get lots of use out of them 😉
So glad I've done it all...have now got a chest infection and feel properly rough 😷
I think the maze thing is an addictaball?
Happy xmas all xxx 🎄

Sendcoffeeandchocs · 16/12/2016 11:02

Anyone needing a last minute man gift I have bought OH ans also my Dad a case of craft ales from favourly.

Using a code you can get a tenner off so you get ten beers for £10 which was too good an offer for me not to twitch on!

Code is below if anyone wants it.

MrsCrimbo74 · 16/12/2016 11:47

For people wanting gifts for coffee lovers, I've just stumbled on nextdaycoffee which have some lovely little hampers starting at £13.75

MrsCrimbo74 · 16/12/2016 12:10

Someone earlier on was looking for an ASOS code, I've just been sent a 10% off one which I won't be using, not sure if it can only be used once so first come first served but if anyone wants it the code is 20D421790933

confuugled1 · 16/12/2016 13:10

I too twitched on the sharpies for ds and dn although ds might get his for his birthday, I need to sort everything out - in my head I'm about right but wouldn't be surprised to see that one pile looks much bigger/more expensive than the other.
I also need to remember to pick them up. I ordered dh a game and I keep thinking must pick that up... And it's. been busy and I got a refund note from them today - argh. And double argh it's out of stock ehen I tried to reorder.

And triple arrrghh ds2 came down with norovirus this morning so I've been awake since 5 sorting out all sorts of nasty ickiness and getting even further away from getting my jobs done, keeping fingers very crossed and very well washed in the hope that nobody else catches it!!

The maze balls are great - ds2 has had one of thebig ones since he was 5 or 6 (the junior ones were very simple) and he has loved it as has everybody who has walked past it - nobody can resrst pickingpit upfor ago Xmas Grin

Gingerbreadmam · 16/12/2016 13:20

hedgy boohoo might have something.

confuugled1 · 16/12/2016 13:42

Oh and if anyone's looking for skylanders imaginators starter packs, they've gone down in price to about £35 from about £55 on Amazon and I think Smyths - still way more expensive than they should be but whilst it's great picking them up for a tenner in the summer, that's not going to cut the mustard on Christmas morning.

Last year they came down to this sort of price in Tesco's at this sort of time, and they were doing their double up points thing so they worked out about £16 which was fine - but have been hanging on for a big drop and then suddenly clicked I wasn't going to get the half price thing this year so I needed to jump so I had something Xmas Grin other than a disappointed ds on christmas day...

margaritasbythesea · 16/12/2016 13:53

There was a very cheap Olaf bed set on the Entertainer yesterday. £3 reduced from £20 I think.
