GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 08/12/2016 12:27

Nope, I have no idea what a present shitting log is either.

See post 2 for links etc and note the addition of a link with more info to the mn Christmas appeal, a very good cause if you're looking to donate to charity this Christmas time.

I'm still looking for an age 7 dressing up troll dress for my granddaughter if anyone sees one anywhere.

Snooky17 · 11/12/2016 08:26

Use the code HOLLY at pink and Greene website for £5 off a spend over £5. They do some nice packs of national trust cards with vouchers for a pot of tea for 2. Nice simple gift for neighbours/ teachers etc.

cookiefiend · 11/12/2016 09:14

Frazzled that is an amazing deal- it has 5 vouchers for tea and 5 cards for £9.99- so if you buy anything else (a card) you can use the £5 off voucher I guess. Sadly no use her in Scotland- but that is a great idea!

margaritasbythesea · 11/12/2016 09:15

It's free delivery at Banana Republic today too.

SestraClone · 11/12/2016 10:23

I am looking for a family quiz game for Christmas day, probably something doesn't need a board game/counters if possible. Age range is 8-60.

leesmum · 11/12/2016 10:28

SestraClone the family trivial pursuit is really good. Different questions for children and adults

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 11/12/2016 10:40

A few pages back someone was after cheap teacher/nursery/token gifts. In the past (on a v tight year!) I bought a bargain tin of roses and a xmas scratch card each popped a few chocs and the card in a cellefane bag with the shredded tinsel tied up with pretty ribbon. Went down very well and worked out just over a £1 each Xmas Grin

confuugled1 · 11/12/2016 10:57

sestra Labyrinth always goes down well here - ds2 chose it when he was 6 and he has just as much chance of winning as anyone else (in fact he often beats everyone!) because no matter how good your strategy is, somebody will move a piece, the labyrinth changes and what was near is now a long way away and you are back to needing a new strategy.

We've also played it in pairs or teams which is fun.

LittleReindeerwithcloggson · 11/12/2016 11:35

Yes yrs to Labyrinth. Only good for 4 players though. Scotland yArd is good fun too

Has anyone spotted any Christmas single bedding at a decent very cheap price? I got the Bah Humpug ones from Studio when they were only £4.99, but I really need a spare set as it's a faff having to get them washed, dried and ironed and back on, in the same day Xmas Hmm. And I am too lazy

SestraClone · 11/12/2016 12:43

Thank you for the game ideas!

AtleastitsnotMonday · 11/12/2016 13:10

Thanks frazzled I got 3pk with vouchers, a chicken card with voucher plus couple other 99p cards used code and free delivery so £5.32

Catanddogmake6 · 11/12/2016 14:17

Frazzled thanks, a really good deal on the NT cards and a really good website I'd never heard of.

On a different note, I'm looking for a present for friend. She has just started having to do a long drive down to Devon. Was wondering if anyone had inspired idea. Thought about tea/ coffee mug but she's not really a tea addict like me. Budget no more than £20. Otherwise it's back to plants.

imsorryiasked · 11/12/2016 14:52

catanddog how about some audio books?

historyismything · 11/12/2016 15:31

Moon pig have an offer on: 5+ cards and you get 50% off! If you go through top cash back you money off there too. I have only just discovered topcash back and clicked to be a plus member; is it worth the £5 you have to pay?

FireflyGirl · 11/12/2016 16:51

catanddog first thing I thought of as well was something to listen to in the car. Does she have bluetooth/a way to play audio books in her car? If not, DH has a gadget that he uses to broadcast the books from his phone to the car radio - I can find out what it's called if you're interested? Xx

Iris1 · 11/12/2016 16:59

Hi has anyone got an Emma bridgewater referral code? Thanks xx

confusedalways · 11/12/2016 17:11

I bought a couple of those cardboard 3D film projector things for your iPhones from tiger today. Were only £2 Worth a go even if they aren't that great for that price I thought.

MeMyElfandI · 11/12/2016 17:54

A little off topic but I need some new seat pads for my dining room chairs to spruce them up for Christmas. I have ideas of some nice neutral ones that look like I live in the type of house in Homes and Gardens, obviously don't but I can dream. When I google all I seem to get are the frilly patterned ones like my Gran used to have on her kitchen chairs. Looking for some contemporary neutral ones. Any ideas ladies greatly appreciated.
