AlwaysOld for a fillable calendar you could use little paper bags with numbers for the date in the front and peg them into a line. I'm sure I've seen something like that on not on the high street.

ipswichwitch · 15/11/2016 14:49

Something like this calendar bags

Ds 10 big for his age wants a y fliker. Really don't want to spend huge amounts as not sure how much he will use it but don't want to buy rubbish. Haven't seen any to suit him in the shops but there is a yvolution A3 on amazon for £69.99 plus post. Does anyone have any experience of them and might they come down at all in money. Thanks

VanillaLatteAndCake If you are still after some That's not my... books one of the cheapest places I have found (including The book people and Amazon) is Sainsburies. I picked up that's not my Santa, elf, reindeer and snowman for £3 (Santa/elf) and £3.49. HTH.

Ilisten2thesoundofdrums · 15/11/2016 15:13

If any of you have ocado smartness they just sent me an email with a special code for their 50% off sale ( smart pass holders only) . There are quite a few lego sets normally 19.99 in there and quite a lot of normally expensive wine.

sugarplumfairy2010 · 15/11/2016 15:29

Not a bargain but hatchimals are available to reserve for saturday at quite a few argos stores.x

FallenSky · 15/11/2016 15:41

LookMa It looks as though that link might have your email address on it? Not sure if you were aware!

ja9r · 15/11/2016 15:51

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 15/11/2016 16:22

Oh - tempted by the die cutter!

I need something for a 13 year old boy - slightly geeky but not sure what he is into these days. Lego used to be the standby of choice but not now. Something between £10 - £15: have already got him a book.

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 15/11/2016 16:22

Kiddimax auctions on eBay has a 29cm plush Ryder toy if that's big enough?

confuugled1 · 15/11/2016 16:41

Blueskies it might be worth looking in a Home Bargains or B&M if you have one near you - they sometimes have surprising things in them when it comes to food - things from different countries or things you see in usual supermarkets evrn though they are recognised brands.

Downside is that stock changes from store to store and week to week...

pantherfootballforever · 15/11/2016 16:44

Thank you howmanysleeps - that is her back up but I think she wants a toy/figure if possible. Perhaps it just doesn't exist.

heymammy · 15/11/2016 16:53

Youre what about a pair of VR glasses. Search on Amazon and choose a pair in your budget. I've ordered a set for dd2 for £20, no idea how 'inferior' they are to a £60 set but I'll take my chances Wink

AmyMumsnet · 15/11/2016 16:56

Just seen that the Barbie camper van is on sale for 57.00
I managed to get it for just under 50 when Smyths had their vouchers on offer but this is still a good price.

EmGee · 15/11/2016 17:27

At Asda

flumposie · 15/11/2016 17:28

Any ideas where I could find an inexpensive Hermione Granger outfit for a 7 year old to wear to a party. Thanks.
