I keep looking at my kitchen wondering what I could put in it to make it look festive this year. We have Christmas teatowels but that's it at the moment.

I do the hallway with tinsel up the bannister and a little fibre optic tree at the bottom of the stairs
I do small decorations on the kitchen windowsill
And I'll put a few bits up in DDs room now she's old enough to notice

Yes, we normally do the whole of the downstairs. The goldfish has his own Christmas tree ornaments to go in his tank too

I do the kitchen too, but mainly because we spend 50% of our time in there

I decorate all downstairs
Kitchen - 3 large paper honeycomb style stars from the beam (Amazon), hanging snowflakes on the sliding doors (Amazon) - on very thin thread so look lovely. Large snowflake over the back door. All white or silver

Dining room - small fake tree, white garland beads etc over the log burner fireplace (from the range store), tiny snowflake window stickers (tasteful ones from Amazon!)- White, silver and glittery style

Hall - hanging snowflakes from ceiling, garland with hanging baubles on bannister

Living room - 9ft real tree, garlands and Xmas ornaments (like felt trees, reindeer etc) on fireplace.

I buy most from the range store as their Xmas stock is the nicest I've ever seen anywhere and fab value.

Outside lights too

Kids bedrooms have fake pink trees and bathroom has a thin garland on the wooden shelf with a fancy show flake hanging from the mirror

We've got a big oblong wooden sign that says "Santa, is it too late to be good". Then usually tinsel, and random ornaments dotted about- I tend to move ornaments each year so it's never the same. Dining table (it's a kitchen/diner) has a festive table runner for December, a couple of Yankee candle holders (shaped like baubles) in the middle, and usually a Christmassy bowl with sweets in.

Oh, and I've got star-shaped garlands for the kitchen too.

Yes, every room has something. Half our attic is Christmas decorations in number coded boxes

Front room - tree, garlands, miniature Christmas village
Dining room - kids tree, garlands around conservatory, Christmas light up pictures, Christmas train set
Kitchen - metal festive wobbles on sills, garlands with lights on tops of cupboards
Hallway - stairs done (garlands & beads), nativity sets X 3 (we've got a couple of window sills)
Toilet / bathroom - Christmas mat / towels / loo roll, festive candles
Bedrooms - there's an assortment of Christmas lamps / bedding to choose from
Garden (front) - light up reindeers in the beds
Garden (back) - light up Santa

It's a military planning job putting up / taking them all down.

I have handles on my kitchen cupboards that have a bit at the top which makes small hanging decs easy. I also replace some of my window sill bits with more Christmassy ones.

I have a Santa mug (looks like a take away cup style) from Costa that comes out for December.
We have plastic Christmas plates for the kids that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! and serving bowls etc. Magnets for the fridge.

It would appear I decorate my kitchen a lot!

I live in a fairly small flat and do the main living room and entire hallway and entrance area, dc's room a bit last year, will do that more this year.
Just purchased a Wintery duvet cover for myself.

we decorate the kitchen a bit, snowflakes on the windows and fridge, a holly garland above the window, a merry christmas sign on the wall, a string of wooden snowflakes by the door, and ive got a couple of frosted jars with reindeer on that i put battery operated lights in. also have christmassy tea towels, Christmas tins that i put treats in, and a reindeer after eight holder.

Our kitchen is large with a dining area and sofa area at the end so most decs go in this room then some in lounge and lights on the front of the house and snowflake decals all over the downstairs windows.

Oh yes. We have bagloads of Christmas tat that gets liberally sprinkled around the house. I also keep all the Christmas cards and make paperchain style decorations out of those which get added to every year.

I have things that hang off the cupboard handles in the kitchen.

I have a knee-high welcome snowman in the porch along with a lantern with (fake) tealight. And I have front door wreath (which is crap and i'm replacing this year).

Halfway up our stairs is a little landing which has a radiator with a wooden cover, the Knitivity goes on there (it has 9 sheep ).

I have mini wreaths hanging over the backs of all the upstairs doors. I have some fake holly and berries tucked behind various picture frames.

DS has giant 2D baubles hanging from the ceiling. And he usually takes a few of the knitivity sheep to bed with him! We also play Hot or Cold Jesus where we hide the knitted baby and the other has to find it with hit/cold. It is hilarious. We aren't religious in the slightest, but it's a great game that our 5yo could play for hours!

Fairy lights all over the kitchen, plus a tree shape cut out of green paper With glittery paper baubles the DD's make stuck on the French Windows and a couple of those real pot plant little trees with led lights you get from supermarkets.

I do the whole house. The kitchen has a Christmas tablecloth, we have Christmas delph, and I have a candle and greenery centerpiece. I have a small countertop tree, I hang lights all along the tops of the upper cupboards, and have Christmassy jars full of treats on the open shelves. I hang light up pictures on the windows, over the and get poinsettias for the windowsills. And of course the kitchen radio is tuned into Christmas FM. :D

I put fairy lights in my kitchen window, it's so nice to get up in the morning when it's still dark and make a cup of tea by twinkly lights.

Yes, all of ground floor. If in doubt, go for as many fairy lights as you can, you can never have too many, and plenty of tinsel!

Op I do c rooms, lots of paper banners and snow flakes - cheap from wilko, foil as well strung across the room and some dec for them, I also got a free small 3 ft xmas tree fake which they have too and can decorate .

Fir kitchen I have more modern funky decs...much more classic and tasteful in living room, also hall way and a few odds and ends round the bath room.

Wreath (light up) on the door (though I'm Really tempted to do the ribbon thing that was everywhere last year, making your front door look like a wrapped present)

A wreath made of silver bells usually in a high doorway so we don't bump our heads but you can just shake it.

Downstairs loo has a little silver tree, snowflake stickers on the white cupboard and mirror. Christmas towels, looroll and Cinnamon/Orange soap

Upstairs landing and bannister

We have a sitting room/kitchen/dining room (L shaped) so a garland between the sitting room/dining room and decorations and lights.

The tree goes in the front room (which is DS room) or in the sitting room but there's less table room with it there. Depends how many people are here.

This year I'm planning ivy in pots with flameless candles in jars in the middle to go in the front garden.

Oh yes, on the 1st Dec the Christmas table cover (oilcloth with bauble decorations) goes on.
We use a proper cloth one for 24/25/26 though.

Every room!

The kitchen gets its own small real tree - a little 2ft fella from Tesco in a pot - with a string of battery lights and a few small baubles. It goes on a side unit. There's also fairy lights around the window and over the cupboards - we don't need to bother with the overhead light through December, the kitchen is bright and twinkly enough without! There's usually some type of greenery on the windowsill too. I love sneaking out to the kitchen for a sneaky Baileys/slice of stollen with all the lights twinkling away and carols playing on the radio (another Christmas kitchen essential!).

The bathroom gets a tiny foil tree (six inches, bless it) and battery powered fairy lights around the window.

DD decorates her bedroom very early - one year she did the day after bonfire night! She has a fibre optic tree and multi coloured lights and metres and metres of tinsel. It's fab.

Me and DH's room has lights and candles.

The lounge has an eight foot real tree with 1000 warm white lights and usually red, grren and gold decorations. Lots of candles, loads of foliage/greenery, more lights around the window and over bookshelves. It looks like an enchanted festive forest

Oh, and a wreath on the front door, of course!
