I started a while back and am progressing well through my lists. My most recent delivery is a Wii U and pro controller. Probably this will be gifted as a family present. I'm struggling a little with what to get my 9 year old daughter as she wants toys but never really plays with them. How's everyone doing?

Yes I have started always do around this time of year due to the sales and DD's bdays, so mind turns to pressies Smile

I have a good list, and want to get another batch done now and out the way and wait for second last lot before xmas.

I always feel better if I know something drastic happens between now and xmas, that the dc will have christmas and will have something to open.

we are also trying to absorb the cost of an xbox

All done here, apart from a few little bits and bobs not available yet (mainly foodie/alcohol stuff). Finished last month

I've also got a fair bit on the 'Christmas shelf' in the kitchen - lots of cava, plus some cranberry sauce and Christmas puds left from last year. And today I bought a few boxes of chocolate biscuits, half price from M&S. They're a Christmas favourite here! M&S usually have their Christmas shortbread and cake on at half price in September, so lots of early stocking up will be done over the coming weeks.

All cards, wrap, crackers, lights etc were bought in January for pennies. I do love a bargain Xmas Grin

I have Santa done for the dc. Just have get a few bits for Christmas Eve box. I have a good few presents to buy so start early enough. Also lots of birthdays leading up to Xmas 10 altogether. We go to my sisters for Christmas dinner and mil Stephens day lucky me :) just buy some sweets, biscuits and drink for the house. Roll on Christmas I'm so excited more so than my ds I think 🎅🏻

I bought a couple of packs of gluten free crackers yesterday for the Christmas shelf - I have at least 1 GF guest for DD's birthday party so I am now planning on all cheese, smoked salmon and pate to be on GF crackers, getting a GF cake (either lemon or choc fudge, or both) as well as large birthday cake (not sure I can find a GF cake large enough for my numbers) and all brown bread sambos will be GF (will do a mix of brown/white bread, on separate plates). It means I can quietly draw the person who needs to know aside to let her know there is plenty, and what - but it won't single her out much overall as EVERYONE will get those.

One at a time, things are slowly falling into place (in my mind at least)....

Sainsburys do a large gluten free chocolate tray bake. I saw it today and think I will be getting it for my birthday as my daughter is always disappointed we don't have a cake for it.

Thanks Heavenscent - I love Sainsbos but am nowhere near one (nearest one to me is a 2 hr drive 1 direction, but we're travelling "home" for Christmas on 23rd 2.5 hrs the opposite direction! And working all that week as well). Party is on 26th. Whereas M&S is feasible for fresh GF bread and smaller cakes, and DD always tends to get her BD cake there too on 24th anyway.

I will though, do a little more investigating to see if there are other options....

I picked up toys for DS in the Jan sales & his Christmas clothes.

OH I'm currently doing surveys for Amazon vouchers for his wish list.

Only got 4 members of family to buy for as only buy for kids now. Well that's mine, OH has got quite a bit.

Also got the cards in January & wrapping paper. Hoping to finish present buying by November.

Doing a book advent for DS so have 7/24 so far.
