With most places already taking bookings where are you going to see Father Christmas this year?

This British summer has me feeling all Christmassy.

We have already booked Lapland UK we went last year and it was amazing!

We are going to try to get harrods but who knows, we managed once before.

I wanted to do legoland but it would be £120 for all four or of us and as we're already doing lapland uk it's not feasible.

So, where are you going?

This is DD1s first 'proper' Christmas I think (she'll be three and a half come Christmas) so I'd like to do a proper Santa. Not Lapland although I'd bloody love that but a 'real' Santa as it were. Suggestions gratefully received!

we did lego land last year I looked into lapland uk but it would have been 350 for four of us and that was with early cheaper booking

So I am looking at Longleat santa train this year. Not sure when booking opens though...

Yep Lapland uk is so expensive but it's worth it! We're going on a Friday in November so it wasn't too bad. Longleat looks good!

We're in Scotland. So Lapland UK would be fab but too far away. We're going down south on the 23rd but suspect doing it on Christmas Eve would be too much after a long drive.

Hmm I don't know much about places in Scotland but I'm sure someone will!

I know wreck I will probably have to save for lapland uk next year but once you get into that price zone, I think - well thats a night away somewhere, a proper trip somewhere....copehagen, norway etc.

also it puts me off that they dont give proper gifts

at longleat older got bead thing and a shiny cat she loved, younger also got wow toy and another gift.

I think I paid £240 for the four of us. My thought is it's much cheaper than the real thing! I'm worried it might be dd's last year of believing too. Once she's stopped we will move into Christmas markets each year

Yeah the cuddly toys are a bit naff.

Not sure yet, we've done longleat and paultons park the last two years and both were fab. Would love to do the polar express but ds is a bit young atm

Oh yes polar express would be so fun! How old is he notsure?

He will only be one at Christmas! I also take Dsis though who will be 6 this year so that is who I'm doing it for mainly. I'm just thinking with longleat he'll be able to look at the animals at least. And paultons park would mean he could go on a lot of the peppa pig rides so may mean we're doing one of those again this year unless I find something similar to suit both. Will be a good few years yet until he can enjoy the polar express unfortunately but yes it looks great!

In the past we have done Santas toy mine, longleat and ice palace at cribbs.

I'm hoping to do peppa pug world but struggling to understand the website - can you book Christmas tickets online or are they all done on the phone?

We're going to Cadbury world and to West Midlands safari park this year. DD will be 2.5 at Christmas and think she'll like having all the extra stuff to see as well as Santa.
Last year we did breakfast with Santa at a lovely hotel and it was a nice gentle experience and the perfect introduction to Santa

Tea I can't find them on the website either but dh had an email with a link. Maybe give them a ring to find out

We're going to Disney World the first half of December so hoping to see one there... But my DD's have seen the one at Chessington Garden Centre since birth so have also booked that for Christmas Eve.

I don't think ppw ones are on sale yet

Dh can definitely book through his link wreck, possibly an early bird type thing as he booked last year?

I think it must be as it says new Christmas attraction coming soon so I assume it'll all be announced when the general sale of tickets is released

We are hoping to book lapland uk. We missed the early bird so will try in September. Dd will be 5.5 and I want to do it before she stops believing. A friend of mine said her dd had it all figured out at 6

We did Polar Express last year and it was great.

Ours loved the train in longleat, we did it at 5pm and it felt magical.

Clearwell caves was awesome and would love to go back there one year.

Kingdom of the elves in Bluestone was great too and folly farm saw him twice in one day

We've done Thomas land when they were younger, that was nice.

We are spending Christmas in Lapland this year. Can't wait.

Whatsername dd is six and still believes. We booked Lapland uk in September last year and got tickets no problem. I would book for about 3pm is then by the time you're walking through all the 'magical' bits it's dark enough for all the fairy lights etc

We're off to Butlins the weekend before Christmas, so we can meet Father Christmas there (it's included in the price of the weekend). Apparently it's a very good Santa experience.

If anyone is near Warwick I can recommend Santa at Hatton Country World. It's not too expensive and is done out beautifully. You can take your own photos and children get to choose their own gift from the toyshop.

If anyone has any ideas for around Watford/Herts I would be grateful. Our traditional family get together in Rural Norfolk has been cancelled so not we are looking for the best place to take 2,5 yo DD to see Father Christmas when we go to see my sister in mid December so we can make it all christmassy.

She suggested Ruislip Lido Santa Train but would like to know if there is anything else. Thanks!
