Twelfth Night - anyone else taking down decorations tonight?

Please, no argument about when is twelfth night!

Taken most down bar the trees which will await dh's retrun from the US on Sunday.

Mine are half gone, just got to tackle the indoor tree and find somewhere which will recycle my outdoor tree!

Themildmanneredjanitor - Epiphany is the celebration of the visit of the 3 wise men. I said no arguments! We did this last year!

did mine on new years day, if I had my way they would be down on boxing day I bloody hate them

its tmrw its going down - yippee!! get my house back in order!

i know you said no arguements but twelth night is the night before epiphany (which is twelth day)

the weekend before xmas, what was it 16th Dec or something. Ooh I hate them, bah humbug

the trick is to wait until the 22nd or so and then you still love them on 6th Jan. That's what I did.

Took ours down today - kids came home from school and didn't even notice..Why do I bother??

today I bought a lovely new angel (ours is scrappy crap) in the decorations sale at the Nice Shop

so sad I have to put it away for a year

OED said tonight was 12th night so we (sadly-we loved our tree this year) have taken it all down. Dd was very bemused...

Mine all came down on the evening of Jan 1st, before DH went back to work. The tree was starting to drop badly when we got home from weekend away, and I just wanted it gone! My house felt so empty though.

Took mine down on new years day, tree was dying and I was sick to the back teeth of them by then. Really I only like them to be up for a week/10 days and no more - and I love christmas

Do I have to do it tonight, I thought it was tomorrow I really can't have a bad 2007, 2006 was very stressful.Will see how quickly I can rip them all down. They don't have to be packed do they ?

Tomorrow is 12th night. so we will be taking our decorations done then.

Just finished!! so glad that's all over - jammed everything into those big plastic storage bins and will shove it all into the attic!

we'll be doing it tomorrow, can't be arsed doing it tonight.

Will mn towers remember to take the festive smileys down - have to keep them all year if not.
