Mine is the MegaBlocks Pirate Ship - as well as the 2 part box it had SIXTEEN of those annoying plastic covered wires holding everything together - it took me 30 minutes to undo the whole thing - AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH !!

Bratz! That big baby karaoke thing!

faeriemum · 30/12/2006 16:45

my sister had the barbie dancing doll....argg!

TinsellyRhino · 30/12/2006 16:47

god I really hate those things with a passion, the way they package things you would think the toys were alive and they need to be strapped down grrrrr

fin54 · 30/12/2006 17:41

All Bratz products, they are a nightmare to open .

southeastastra · 30/12/2006 18:01

the dr who tardis playset

Pixel · 30/12/2006 18:04

Remote control K-9 was a nightmare to unpack.

Lightning McQueen was great though, just turn two little plastic things and out it pops. I don't know why they can't all be like that.

DH undid as much as possible on all DD's things before I wrapped them. We made the booboo at her birthday with the Playmobile Pirate ship, it took over an hour to unwrap & assemble!
She didn't notice Santa had been kind enought to get rid of loads of wire wraps.

Troutpout · 30/12/2006 19:12

Polly pockets and Barbie
Pollie pockets was taking the p* ...i cannot believe the packaging on those things!

foxinsocks · 30/12/2006 19:16

barbie's horse and carriage thing

honestly, everything was tied down - all the hair was tied together, the cardboard package was ENORMOUS.

I had to resist the urge to rip the hair off the horse and take a saw to the carriage to get it out of the box.

canadianmum · 30/12/2006 19:20

buzz lightyear action pack figure from Woolies, about a million really tightly wrapped wires to unwind - aaaargh

HaggisSupper · 30/12/2006 19:23

This ball toy type thing from Woolies which had not only a thousand bits of wires wrapped around it, it was also screwed into the box

gremlin · 30/12/2006 20:21

V-tech musical fricking bandstand. No kidding - 20 mins to get it out the fricking box!

TheArmadillo · 30/12/2006 20:34

Big set of play food - not only was it that annoying plastic that needs hacking with sissors, but it was also sealed around each individual piece of food (about 100)

Ds also got a present today that not only had twisty ties but had plastic screws holding it to the package - but I didn't have to open it so don't care as much

paulaplumpbottom · 30/12/2006 21:01

I would love to meet th guy who invented those wire ties. Him and his DNA should be wiped off the planet.

Wallace · 30/12/2006 21:08

The Bratz Karaoke thing that dd got really was awful - half way through I asked dh to do it so I could feed the baby "I don't know how" was his reply Does he think women are genetically predisposed to open packaging?

MerryChristmasPANDAGHappyNewYe · 30/12/2006 21:13

Barbie with hair accessories - 1001 tiny clips and hair bobbles stuck on card with wire ties, took Mum ages to undo!

Skribble · 30/12/2006 21:32

I hate those sealed plastic packs even if you cut it open with scissors you still have to prise the thing out and run the risk of slicing your hand open.

Millie1 · 30/12/2006 21:45

Remote control robot dog - Teksta or something. Needed a screwdriver and a lot of brute force. Unreal.

singsalot · 31/12/2006 00:24

I was raging at the barbie horse that was the one thing my dd wanted, plastic piece of sh*te, ties, plastic round legs, plastic sewn into the hair, it was nearly bald by the time I got all the bits off it, dd found a bit of plastic round its leg after she unwrapped it (I had taken so much trouble to get it all unpacked before wrapping it) so it has taken me until today to get it completely out of it's wrapping

singsalot · 31/12/2006 00:28

just saw foxinoscks message, I reckon I got off lightly now, though think it must be barbie in general? I hope dd loses interest soon....

singsalot · 31/12/2006 00:29

you wouldn't think barbie could incite such violent feelings

Twinklemegan · 31/12/2006 00:35

Fisher Price Peek a Blocks shape sorter! I cannot understand why they need to do this.

megandsoph · 31/12/2006 00:36

Another vote for bratz. DD1 has the ice skating rink totally sliced and diced my hand to bits.

expatinscotland · 31/12/2006 00:37

Bratz are Satan's spawn.
