ROFL! Lucky she went back to sleep. DD got up at 5.30, but that's normal!

Merry Christmas!

QuootiepieTheChristmasAss · 25/12/2006 01:54

Good job mine is 9 months old... because "Santa" is still wrapping & building a rocking horse!

wethreebobkings · 25/12/2006 03:35

Ds woke as normal at 6.50am, checked that Santa had been and then asked for his breakfast to give him "energy" to unwrap everything. He's almost 4.

LemonTart · 25/12/2006 05:02

It is 5.01am here and I am watching scooby doo with DD2 who is wide awake and oblivious to the stocking at the end of her bed!! Trying to keep her from waking DD1 who is not very well and once awake will be def on the stocking hunt..
I can?t wait but will have to be patient for another hour or so...

Merry Christmas

sydneygirl · 25/12/2006 05:46

Well, it's now 5.30pm on Christmas day. All has gone really well; toys have been opened and abandoned, none of my ds's ate their Xmas dinner (just the mince pies....funny that!), me and dh haven't argued (yay!)and they're now playing with their new swing ball in the garden.
Took an afternoon drive around the mornington peninsula in Melbourne and had to pinch ourselves - can't believe we live here. That has to be the best present for us this year!
Oh, and ace pressie off dh, a new watch. Huzzah!

elliepmummy · 25/12/2006 07:02

Well I am sitting downstairs on my own with a cup of tea as dh still asleep and dd had the worst nights sleep in 2.5 years fell asleep fine woke up after 3 hours at 9.30pm and was then awake till 2.30am she wasn't being a pain or crying just awake and saying cant sleep mummy. I thought I would be 6ft under wrapping paper by now but shes is snoring away

sibble · 25/12/2006 07:22

DS2 woke at 1.30am (not too well) saw pressies and said 'oooooooooohhhhhhhh look' laid back down and went back to sleep. DS1 woke at 5.30am (usual) I tried to get him to wait until DS2 woke to open pressies but 7am was too long to wait so we started at 6.15!!!

Whole pressie fest lasted til 9.30 with opening everthing from England as well as Father Christmas.

It's nearly 8.30 pm here in NZ and it's taken me and DH 12 hours to work out how to rig up the new playstation (actually the boy from next door has just come and done it for us) so who knows what time we will get them to bed. They are teaching Happy Feet to dance and find his heart song at the moment. So cute.

roisin · 25/12/2006 07:59

Well it's nearly 8 am here, and we're still waiting for ds1 (9) to wake up so we can all open presents

Dh, ds2 and I were up at 6.15: dh and I because we are ill and full of cold and woke up early coughing, ds2 because he's 7 and excited for Christmas!

ledodgychristmasjumper · 25/12/2006 08:25

6 am after waking up on the hour every hour since 1 am asking if santa had been. I thought this would be the last year we would get a lie in as dd is only 3.8 years and I didn't think she'd get so excited she wouldn't sleep , Oh how wrong I was!

Saturn74 · 25/12/2006 08:30

Just had to 'persuade' my two children to get up! Happy Christmas everyone.

TinsellyRhino · 25/12/2006 08:58

dd1 came bounding into our room at 7am on the dot, she must have been awake already but knows she has to wait till her clock says 7am

dd2 was in bed with us and wanted to stay asleep lol. dd1 turned on the bedside light and dd2 turned it off again lol

then she saw her stocking and woke up. everything is unwrapped dd1 has already fallen over on her new skates and is now playing her new gamecube game dd2 is starting to flag and is cuddly her new snoring dog and having some milk under a bkankie on the sofa, watching dora

dh and I just want to crawl back to bed but he is doing food prep and I thought I'd pop on here for 5 mins.....ish

Pinkchampagne · 25/12/2006 09:11

My two came into me at 7.30am. I am glad it wasn't any earlier because I had been kept awake for a lot of the night with the sound of H throwing up loudly downstairs. It appears he has caught our DS's tummy bug - but what a day to come down with it!

glitterfairyonachristmastree · 25/12/2006 09:16

Two of mine (10 and 7 should know better)got up at 3.50 and I promptly sent them back to sleep after allowing them to open one stocking present. They obeyed and slept until 7am when I was pounced on by my eldest (11 year old).

SparklyXmasKat · 25/12/2006 10:41

3:30am, managed to get the girls back to sleep, even though they knew that santa had been because they saw their stockings, then 5:30am. Let them open their stockings and they played with those till 7am. DH got up and let me sleep till about 7:45am, then I had to get up as the kids were too excited.... am knackered now....

jampots · 25/12/2006 11:03

ds came sneaking into our room at 3.50 armed with his bulging stocking excitedly whispering "he's been he's been". I had to concede and let him open his stocking and then drag him into bed with me for some extra zzz's. We all got up at 5.30!! Ds retreated back to his room armed with his open presents and dh, dd and I all went back to bed. I got up about 20 mins ago

ds is 10! so possibly the last year he will do this

whoopsfallenoffthexmastree · 25/12/2006 11:09

dd (3) woke at 5.30 needing a wee and walked straight past her sack of pressies! so we let her come obed with us so we could get a little more sleep
ds shouted through about 7 asking if it was wake up time yet!!

whatisthepoint · 25/12/2006 11:12

0930 !! DD is 3 and mummy made a mistake with the advent calender, I thought it was xmas eve today (not!) so we all got a lie in!! Wicked mummy ! Still she's over the moon!! (got to get away with it while you can

drummumadrumming · 25/12/2006 11:49

my two aged 10 and 8 came into us at about 8ish... we put a toy at the end of their bed for them to open and play with when they wake up...
they both had gameboy games so that kept them quiet.... mind you... god know what time they opened them

dmo · 25/12/2006 11:50

i woke up at 1.30am to the sound of laughin
my two (aged 9 and 10) were mid unwrapping

2000milestoeidsvold · 25/12/2006 11:54

ours don't - put stockings on their doors and presents are downstairs in the playroom....

we got in late christmas eve and dd2 came into us about 6.45 - she had walked straight past her stocking and not even seen it....

They woke at 6.30am, opened stockings and I then made them wait until after breakfast for main presents, so about 8.30.

UniSarah · 25/12/2006 13:11

we woke boy up at nearly 9am. bought him down for breakfast in teh big bed and then he fiddled about with his stocking, took a while and some help to get teh hang of pulling things out of it. He likes teh light up star that plays twinkle, keeps pionting at teh light up bits but has played mostly with his jingle bells.

Yulemoonfiend · 25/12/2006 13:45

5.10 a huge THUD as ds1 woke up and launched out of his cabin bed. Thud clunk, giggle, whoop, I dozed off again. 6.05 '''muuuu-um, I've only opened 1 present from santa and I MUST open some more now, pleeeaaaase'' followed by 'mmuttermuttersnugo rusnfusn'' from ds2 who needs a little more sleep....

Now peace reigns supreme as the duck cooks, I'm getting sloshed on champers and Over The Hedge is on.
And DH is looking hopefully at the bed...!

Merry Christmas everyone

lou33 · 25/12/2006 14:33

my youngest woke up about 8.30, they were all up and opening the gifts by 9, so not too bad
