God, just opened the fridge...cheese, pate, dips, cold meats.
Not forgetting the crisps, nuts, biscuits & chocolate that is left. Feel a weekend of eating is on the cards before back to school/work routine begins & healthy eating kicks in (yeah right!)

cookies from a cookie tin we were given, ginger biscuits from another biscuit tin we were given, half a ripe round of brie, a stilton that hasn't been opened yet, a quarter of Applewood. Pringles, popcorn, and advacat or however you spell it.

1/4 of a chocolate cake, (Ds1 birthday cake from 27th) Big box assorted crackers for cheese, big box chocolate biscuits, various selection boxes. Big pot blue cheese (which someone brought as a gift after Christmas) a big bag of salted caramel nuts, a pack of marzipan fruits, a huge Stollen and a block of torrone. To be honest, it was much worse this morning but we had helpful friends round this afternoon. I am horrified how much is left, I bought less this year(have been doing Slimming World) but a Chicken poxy child meant we cancelled a lot of Christmas visitors.

Christmas pud
A box of stollen bites...after buying them almost weekly and them getting opened and eaten in the run up to xmas we can't seem to finish the actual xmas ones!
Chocolate. Lots of chocolate! It'll get eaten though..
Pate, two tubs, all needs to be eaten soon.
And cheese. Oh the cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and can only handle a small amount at a time so it'll last bloody ages.
Booze we have a lot left, but as of today we are off the drink for January until Feb 3rd so it's gone up in the loft. We do have willpower, really we do!

There's only the two of us and I thought we'd done quite well on the food buying front but we've got tons left! I haven't even bothered to ice our Christmas cake so it's going away for next year.
We've also got:
Huge amounts of chocolate
9 mince pies
1.5 Christmas puddings
Half a tub of cream cheese (to be used in pasta tomorrow night)
Mini stollen bites
Half a Tunis cake that DH's Nan bought him (thanks Nan!)
Half a box of Victoria biscuits
Shedloads of alcohol!

Oh and about a third of the massive Christmas cake! Note to self, definitely make a smaller one next year. I have given away several massive wedges to people to take home as well, but it's still hanging in there!

One and a half Christmas cakes (I bought one then MIL bought us another. I'm the only one in the house who likes them so will still be eating it at Easter.)
Two boxes of chocolates.
A quarter of a Panettone (may have to bin)
A whole bottle of dessert wine.

That's about it. We polished off the cheese and biscuits for lunch today and have steadily munched through the various crisps and other goodies this weekend. The January virtuousness doesn't start till the kids go back to school, right? I may have to have some of the dessert wine witha large hunk of came shortly.

2 x Chocolate Swiss rolls we were going to make a Yule log with, but never got round to it.

An entire Christmas cake, still in box. I'm going to check the date in case we can save it for next year.

Another entire Christmas cake that mil made us, which is 200 miles away and we havn't got round to picking up.

They are from marks and Spencer's and they have edible gold stars in them. We are a bit unsure about them this then outlasting every other crisp in the house. The concept is good but I am nervous regarding the execution...

I was about to say 'not much', but after a sort out of fridge and cupboards, we still have:
bit less than half a Christmas cake - will get eaten though
half a dozen mince pies (home made and in freezer)
two boxes mince pies (DP bought them cheap at the petrol station today. I agree they are a bargain, but...)
brandy butter - in the bin. FIL is the only one who likes it, and he left on Dec 30th.
bits of gingerbread house. Made and decorated with DCs which was fun, but all the sweet covered bits were eaten and we are left with plain and stale remains. Time to bin I think.
Box of chocolate biscuits. Arrived today as thank you present from neighbours for cat-sitting.
turkey in freezer. Enough to make a pie but maybe in a couple of week once we've eaten non-Christmas food for a bit!

I need to sort out the pantry (again) so I might put all the Christmassy food (like the pies, the biscuits and the chocolate roll thingey) on one shelf so we know it's there.

I can see me taking a load of food up to my parents.
I sent a chill bag with my DParents - mini pork pies and pre-packed breaded ham slices.

Cheese but hoping it will last a little longer yet.
I bought a tiny christmas cake which only I eat and have about half left. Again expecting to last another couple of weeks.

Enough chocolate to see us through the year. And some sprouts in the freezer! They'll be ok until next Christmas won't they..?

Christmas puddings and rich fruit cake keep for absolutely ages. I wouldn't pay much attention to use by dates for items like that.

In our house, not much left now. Some untouched lebkuchen, some shortbread, quite a lot of cheese. The last bits of the ham got made into ham and mustard sandwiches and frozen for my packed lunches. There was very little waste this year, which is pleasing. I hate wasting food.

gingerboy1912 or anyone else that knows - is shortcake the same as shortbread?

Christmas cake
Left over vegetables which I used :
tomatoes in bolognese sauce.
Parsnip, sweet potato, potatoes made into soup for tomorrow
Butternut squash and chickpeas going to make soup out of these.
Some crackers
Finished the chocolate today
Mincemeat I have three jars of homemade left which will be made into mince pies or a long plait ...pastry, lay slices of apples over a spread of mincemeat, this goes in centre third. Slice diagonally and then fold over and plait over as you go. Lovely with custard.
That's it apart from some fruit. Oh and some wine :)

Don I went out and intentionally BOUGHT a half-price panettone today from my favourite local bakery.
I made sure it was a "chocolate drops and chocolate icing" one because another traditional one would have caused a walk-out tonight!

2 tubs of Tiger christmas cookies
A tub of Heros
A tub of Sainbos version of Quality Street
2 slabs of pate
Loads of cheeses
So much booze that will probably sit there until next year as I rarely drink in the house

And that's not including the vast amount of chocolate and sweets that DS was given as presents
