thanks Biddy, one is out of dolls and also took a vague interest but now is into nothing but computers. Confused so not sure what to get her.

Thinking of a glitter tattoo kit we saw once in harrods ( when they did the trial show thing).
I like this tinkerbell doll because the green colour is so vibrant! And its a manual flutter of wings not the one which was rubbish apparently and battery operated. But really of course, I got it because I want to see Tinkerbell in the house over xmas.

I have lined up too many new decs already and thats without the temptation of new season Blush.

Biddy I love a good clear out, started mine today!!
We have an under used under stairs cupboard, I want to turn it from dark useless spider habitation into a crack hot cupboard yielding scissors, sellotape, xmas paper in moments, spilling with ribbons and useful stuff like that Grin ready for bday and xmas seasons. Wall papered, painted and with easily accessible shelves for the xmas ninja Smile

You know Christmas is getting closer when this thread is no longer at the top of the Christmas topic!

CHRISTMASHELPER42987 · 12/08/2016 04:36

Biddy that reference to Veruca Salt had me dying lol that's my favorite movie !! Thanks btw! Grin

MrsDilligaf · 12/08/2016 07:06

I can't believe that we are nearly at the end of this thread!!

We've been quietly chatting away all year and we're going to end up with two threads!

BiddyPop · 12/08/2016 13:17

Well, I have my lists written for jobs to do next week (3 days camping followed by 2 days of housework - I am hoping it is as rainy as the forecast was 2 days ago not the sun that it has shifted to!). Sorting of paperwork, tidying out 2 rooms, getting rid of at least 5 bags of clutter already gathered and another few I hope to fill...

I'll also have to clean/dry the camping gear and pack it away again for winter. I may get a chance to tackle the storage unit while I am there.

And I also want to go into the bowels of my wardrobes and do a proper sort out of all the clothes - there are a lot that I don't wear at the moment and I need to get more ruthless about keeping everything (or not!).

The only problem I have is that I usually start to listen to Christmas radio stations (internet based ones) at this time of year, but they seem to have changed rules in the US about them and lots are either unavailable here or gone off the airwaves altogether. Xmas Sad So I will have to spend a couple of hours mooching around amazon or similar and order a few extra CDs of mixed music - some country, some choral and some orchestral.

Operation finish decorating the hallway is planned for this weekend. Swiftly followed by a declutter, which is in prep for Christmas.
Sadly excited now. :)

Made my first batch of Blackberry Vodka yesterday Grin

ConstantlyCooking · 13/08/2016 08:41

Blackberry vodka sounds interesting. I have rhubarb vodka infusing and am about to make spiced pear.

MrsDilligaf · 13/08/2016 15:30

It may end up being lethal however I have made a litre of it and DH is taking the view that we will have a 2016 vintage. I think he's talking a load of rubbish but you know what these men are like Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 13/08/2016 21:36

I love the thought of flavoured vodka but I'd end up drinking it all myself. DH is practically tee total very handy for nights out and DD1 is allergic to vodka Shock

MrsDilligaf · 13/08/2016 21:42

Woolly

Forgive me...but that is a problem why?

MrsDilligaf · 14/08/2016 10:54

I made Mars Bar vodka last year. It was flippin' lush.

ConstantlyCooking · 15/08/2016 09:40

How did you make the mars bar vodka? My first flavoured attempt was toffee, but it curdled and was almost undrinkable ( I say almost because DS took it to uni and drank it with friends)

Guitargirl · 15/08/2016 09:49

Ta dah!

I saw a recipe on a Christmas thread on MN ages ago but it was basically the same as the one have linked to. Not sure how long it keeps for as didn't have much chance to find out Xmas Blush.

ConstantlyCooking · 15/08/2016 12:15

Thank you. Now I need a trip to the supermarket.Smile
