Indiana Jones.

Although I don't know why they prefer to put on Temple of Doom - it's the weakest of the three originals IMO.

Well obv the wizard of oz Grin

Trills · 12/12/2015 18:53

I did of course intend to write "Christmassy" but since it's not a real word anyway I'll try not to care too much.

(I do care)

(but why?)

(I just do)

(it's important to spell imaginary words that way you image them to be spelled)

(shut up Trills)

Oliver

OSETmum · 12/12/2015 19:10

The Land Before Time. We used to watch it every Christmas Eve.

BikeRunSki · 12/12/2015 19:11

Love Story

MTWTFSS · 12/12/2015 19:14

Little Women.

pretend · 12/12/2015 19:15

Chitty chatty bang bang

pretend · 12/12/2015 19:15

Fucking auto correct Smile

MrsBertMacklin · 12/12/2015 19:17

Uncle Buck - perfect for the afternoon of Christmas Eve.

MistressMerryWeather · 12/12/2015 19:18

YY Oliver.

It was always on on Christmas eve day when I was younger.

Whataboutreindeer · 12/12/2015 19:18

Die Hard.

TheEagle · 12/12/2015 19:28

All of the above, especially Oliver!

Also Stardust.

Trills · 12/12/2015 19:34

Die Hard does not count.

Die Hard is SET AT CHRISTMAS.

Therefore it does not qualify here.

It would fall under the opposite category of "Films that happen at Christmas that are not traditionally Christmassy"

That category also includes Gremlins and Edward Scissorhands.

Little Women is borderline because they have a Christmas right at the beginning, even though time passes and the rest of it is not at Christmas.

Trills · 12/12/2015 19:35

I am watching Stardust right now while wrapping

(and MNing and drinking red wine)

The young Dad is way better looking than our actual main character.

YerTiz · 12/12/2015 19:36

Harry Potter (although it does have Christmas in, a bit)...

TheEagle · 12/12/2015 19:37

I may need to watch Stardust later if I can ever get DTs to sleep

Hobbes8 · 12/12/2015 19:37

Frozen

Mrsboathook · 12/12/2015 19:38

Swiss family Robinson. Even if they have a brief Christmassy moment!

Trills · 12/12/2015 19:38

Harry Potter does have some Christmas jumpers, but since each one in theory has a WHOLE YEAR then I think it passes.

Which one(s)?

Matilda2013 · 12/12/2015 19:39

I always associate wizard of oz with Christmas and it confuses me Smile glad it isn't just me!

fuzzywuzzy · 12/12/2015 19:42

The lion the witch and the wardrobe.

YerTiz · 12/12/2015 19:42

Grin I think the first couple of Harry Potters are most Christmassy - less intense and moody.

We also watch Lord of the Rings at Christmas so that makes me feel Christmassy.
