Dobbies have reduced their crackers by 50%.

Hangingbasket14 · 08/12/2015 20:22

Does the La Redoute code only work on kids clothes (looking for an excuse to buy something for myself!)?

TattieHowkerz · 08/12/2015 20:29

No hanging, I got discounts on kids stuff, stuff for me and stuff for DP, including joggers which said they weren't included in offers!

CadenceRoastingByAnOpenFire · 08/12/2015 20:29

woodwaj, where did you get your bags? I looked in home bargains but couldn't see any.

Hangingbasket14 · 08/12/2015 20:33

Thanks Tattie, time to fill that shopping basket!!

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 08/12/2015 20:38

Has anyone seen little tikes picnic table for around £40 it was £37 recently on Amazon but my brother forgot to order it for my 2 little ones and cheapest we can find now is £46 ideally we want it for £40 or less.

woodwaj · 08/12/2015 20:45

My local 'home bargains' is actually a quality save. They were at a stand at the tills!

Hangingbasket14 · 08/12/2015 20:55

Sorry one more LaRedoute question! I know the kids clothes come up small but does anyone have any idea if you should size up for adults too?

Scottishgymnast · 08/12/2015 21:07

Can someone tell me about theatre tickets? Can't find the offer.

ChristmasEvePJs · 08/12/2015 21:11

Ok bargain mumsnetters, I am in need of a super cheap Christmas jumper for DD age 12. The school have very helpfully announced it is Christmas jumper day on Friday and I get to donate another £2 for the pleasure of her wearing said jumper that will only last her a few weeks!!! Xmas Angry

balletgirlmum · 08/12/2015 21:25

www.getintolondontheatre.co.uk

There are a limited number of tickets available at discounted prices for various London shows in January & early February.

I am not impressed with La Redoute, though I've used them maybe two or three times. Mixed quality, free gift doesn't come or is substituted, and still waiting for a refund. Had a few nice items of clothing though, just not keen on the company.

Is 79.99 good for a Fitbit charge hr? Wondering whether to jump now or wait for the sales.

insan1tyscartching · 08/12/2015 21:32

I know Peacocks were doing them cheap yesterday ChristmasEve but don't know if that was a day thing. Dd has the same thing and I've had to buy another jumper because the one she wore last year for the jumper day at school doesn't fit this year. It's such a waste of money because she won't wear it out of school anyway. Dd's is from Tesco I think it was about a tenner though.

WhirlwindHugs · 08/12/2015 21:39

If anyone is still struggling to get GeekBox to refund I recommend calling your bank or credit card company and seeing if they can help. I have just called my CC company and they sorted it out really quickly without me having to deal with GeekBox again (who had told me they would refund me weeks ago).

A word of warning about La Redoute, they use Hermes for deliveries. The items I ordered black friday week have gone missing. The courier said they delivered them to me on Sunday evening - they didn't I was in!

Rang La Redoute today and they said they have been inundated with complaints about Hermes deliveries. The person I spoke to said that is all she has been dealing with for a week - Hermes claims, she also said that hermes don't deliver on a Sunday either. Luckily the items (all superdry for OH) were still in stock so they are resending to me. 10 days delivery so hopefully will be here in time for Christmas. Worth checking on your tracking details when you get sent it.

RJnomore1 · 08/12/2015 22:00

I'd recommend click and collect for la redoute.

traviata · 08/12/2015 22:45

christmaseve just attach some tinsel or a Santa hat to a top she already has.

PipersOrange · 08/12/2015 22:49

margaritasbythesea · 08/12/2015 22:55

Christmas eve I second that. I refuse to buy one point blank even though there are so many cute ones.

CadenceRoastingByAnOpenFire · 08/12/2015 23:00

Thanks woodwaj. I don't have a quality save, hope I can get them somewhere else, has anyone else bought pudding bin bags and if so, from where?

My dd has also been told to wear a christmas jumper. I walked past store 21 a few days ago and there were some cheap ones there between £7 and £9. Dd gets quite hot so last year I bought her a christmas t shirt from asda that cost about £4 and she wore it with a sparkly cardigan she already had. Sure I've seen christmas t shirts in asda this year, dds one from last year still fits so we've been lucky.

woodwaj · 08/12/2015 23:08

cadence I'm sure home bargains and quality save are the same types of store the logo is the same! Might be worth asking?

kavvYourselfAMerryLittleXmas · 08/12/2015 23:10

Thanks so much scandi. I have never shopped look fantastic before. Have managed to get her loads of stuff I know she will use, Clinique mainly, for much less / free gifts which is great. They didn't have Dior or Bobbi Brown in but not a problem, fantastic site. Thank you.

G1veMeStrength · 08/12/2015 23:31

Christmas jumpers have gone stupid haven't they. Even MIL has announced we are all to wear Christmas jumpers at hers on Christmas Day - she is very very generous etc however I have got DC ordinary jumpers as I don't want to waste money on something that won't fit them next year.

TheDrsDocMartens · 09/12/2015 06:53

I'm the same about Xmas jumpers. Dd1/2 still fit but dd3 got a letter yesterday. And our family Xmas dinner is having a Xmas jumper comp so I'm going to look like Scrooge.

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 09/12/2015 07:01

La Redoute are very hit and miss (although I may have created a new account in dp's name just because...) the non-smart price stuff is fine, not exactly Whistles, but I've never had a problem. The smart price (or whatever they call it) is what you'd expect for that price....tbh. Never had a problem with delivery. Sizing for adults is on the big side I'd say. I got a woolly dress for me in a 12 and it was mahoosive.
