Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

It's just been on the news that Amazon are re-calling certain hoverboards as they're not safe.

Hoping it doesn't affect anyone on here.

Oreocrumbs · 16/12/2015 20:09

I'm all done.... Not sure if I'm pleased or disappointed. Who am I kidding, I'm gutted, I love shopping.

Thought I would leave you all with this last discovery. Hive.co.uk is an online book shop (with free delivery, naturally hence my discovering it). They make a contribution to local high street book shops every time you make a purchase. Which I thought was quite a good thing since our one click Amazon purchases are doing away with such stores. It has also worked out cheaper than using Amazon sometimes with their free delivery.

So do have a look there if you are buying books/DVDs etc.

Merry Christmas 🎅🏼

Libid christmas kid magazines can also be a good present from grandma. Primark does quite good kids PJs

Not sure if been mentioned but Build a Bear has certain Star Wars bears at 2 for £30. Code on website. An amazing bargain as they are £27 each. DS has Chewbacca and he is fab. Though kind of wishing we didn't now as could buy him and a friend instead!

zeebee · 16/12/2015 20:38

Just bought two huge jute stockings from seasalt two for ten pounds, green with a lovely design on. Very good reviews regarding strength

mrsdiddlydoo · 16/12/2015 21:33

Sorry not sure cathfizz

mrsdiddlydoo · 16/12/2015 21:33

They do click and collect though...

CremeBrulee · 16/12/2015 21:37

(Whispers) Thorntons have big discounts on some of their chocolate hampers plus a 20% discount code (Xmas 20). The personalised Christmas hamper is reduced to £40 from £80 and is £32 with the 20% discount.

Not that I'm tempted, obviously.....

ohtheholidays · 16/12/2015 21:49

Can anyone please reccomend a bottle of red wine, would be good if it's Australian for £10 max?

I only drink white and it's for second oldest sons college tutor.

mrslebon · 16/12/2015 21:54

Never heard of Hive before and so glad to have discovered it - thank you Oreocrumbs! I've been searching for the old version of Jason and the Argonauts on DVD which will be delivered in time for Christmas and they have it. Also, love these tote bags for book-ish people: www.hive.co.uk/search/?fq=&GroupCode=canvas_tote_bags

zipzap · 16/12/2015 23:52

ohtheholidays when dh wants a reliable red wine that's easily available, he usually gets Lindemans Winemakers Reserve Shiraz Cabernet Sauvingon.

It's an easy red wine to drink and our standard red wine.

It's about a tenner at Waitrose when it's not on offer (was £6 last week), it's 2 for a tenner in Bargain Booze and it's also sold at Morrisons... Sometimes it's £8-10 there, sometimes it's reduced to a fiver a bottle and occasionally I've been really lucky and it's been reduced to a fiver plus they have additional discounts which have taken it down so you get about 3 bottles for a tenner. On those all too rare occasions, I might have been known to pick up 3 cases to keep us going for the price of one Xmas Grin

Which has just reminded me I need to check them out again to see if it's on offer again...

No idea why there's such a wide variation in price - it's the identical stuff (so long as you get the winemakers reserve stuff - they have similar that's not winemaker's reserve and it's not as good).

snappybadger · 17/12/2015 00:40

Does anyone know of a discount code for M&S? I thought I'd get one for signing up for a Sparks card but only got offer for pack of Percy pigs Hmm

ohtheholidays · 17/12/2015 00:43

Zipzap that's brilliant Thank you Smile,we have all of those shops in our area so I'll pick some up tomorrow.

Iggi999 · 17/12/2015 06:58

Tesco salted caramel liquer is down to £8 from £12. I know I've banged on about it before but it's very nice!

snowypenguin · 17/12/2015 07:04

DS really would love a build a bear but can you get the online deal in the shop?

Strawberryfield12 · 17/12/2015 07:21

Just to add about the white company sale- there are a number of Christmas decorations, toys and stockings on sale as well.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 17/12/2015 08:10

I twitched on the Build a Bears. DH will go apeshit.

And I have just realised that I bought those Seasalt stockings on holiday and have no idea where I put them. Shit.

NorbertDentressangle · 17/12/2015 08:22

I've just seen this on HUKD:

Orla Kiely perfume - £12.99 + £2.99 P&P. It's just under £50 on Amazon.

trixymalixy · 17/12/2015 09:00

I think you can get the online build a bear offers in store. My SIL has bought DD the two for £17 princess dresses and got them in store.

Elvish · 17/12/2015 11:33

I have a 20% off code for Mothercare / ELC if anyone wants it, must have set up a fictional child at some point!

DeloresDeSyn · 17/12/2015 12:14

Yes please Elvish, I would like to buy the gingerbread house for me DS
