Admiral -
Inside another bag of presents?
Under a bag of presents?
In the car? Glovebox or boot or under the seat
In your "other" handbag/the nappy bag/kids sports bag
Fallen down the side of wherever you thought you put it?

I hate loosing things - once managed to lose my passport in a pile of magazines - it had stuck to the front cover of one placed on top and went with it when it moved. Found it only after turning the house over 27 times the day before we were going on hols (so no panic)

neddle · 13/12/2015 17:47

I'm struggling finding a couple more things for ds10 to even out the piles.
He exists for football, bus has all the kit he needs. Is getting an ipod for main present, headphones, animation kit and a table air hockey set for other presents.
Doesn't play with toys like action figures but still kind of likes Avengers etc.
Don't want to spend too much, but don't want to give useless tat.
Any ideas for an average 10yo boy that I can use?

WindTheFrog · 13/12/2015 17:47

I've just had a request for a Lego pilot keyring but I can't find one anywhere. If anyone sees one can they let me know please? DS is obsessed with planes and needs them for his plane car keys.

WindTheFrog · 13/12/2015 17:50

Oh and no Boden voucher here or any luck with the m&s pass the parcel.

TattieHowkerz · 13/12/2015 17:55

neddle match attax annual? Got one from book people for my DN for 3.50.

neddle · 13/12/2015 17:57

ooh, didn't realise there was an annual. He's not a keen reader, but I'll check that out, thanks.

neddle · 13/12/2015 18:06

Meanwhile, on amazon lightning deals I see:

toot toot construction set £16 down from £30.
Sphero robot £48 from £80.
Paw Patrol pup pad £19 down from £24. (But still looks overpriced!)
Nespresso pod holder £19 from £25 (no pods included).
Not an awful lot to shout about, but a couple of bargains if you're looking for them.

RJnomore1 · 13/12/2015 18:35

Trixy I'm just back from sainsburys and while there I purchased Minecraft story mode for £24.99 the cheapest I could find online was Tesco at £26.

iloveblue · 13/12/2015 18:37

neddle I have 9 and 10 year old DS's and they love these collectible figurines. They are a liitte bit more grown up than usual figures look great on a shelf in their room and are something that can be collected over the years. Lots of Avengers ones. www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=funko+pop+vinyl

iloveblue · 13/12/2015 18:43

Just found these nice vintage style superhero tins with mints in for £2 each with free postage if anyone is looking for stocking fillers.

lilyloo · 13/12/2015 18:51

Sorry see you had headphones already.
Have you seen the hoverball ?
I know some got it on here for a bargain price but it looks ok for a keen footballer I have got it for dd from asda

enderwoman · 13/12/2015 19:00

Windthefrog You can get Lego Star Wars pilot keyrings. The characters fly Star Wars ships rather than airplanes but worth a shot?

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 13/12/2015 19:05

neddle - DS1 is 9 and sounds v similar to your DS. He got an AirHogs sphere for his birthday today - it has gone down very well.

LittleReindeerwithcloggson · 13/12/2015 19:07

If anyone's got a spare m and s code pretty please can I have it?

Adarajames · 13/12/2015 19:08

I've had a bit of a bad week and gave in and ate large amounts of chocolate / marzipan I got for gifts Sad. Think I might have to skive my weigh in on Tuesday, go buy them all for a second time, and wrap them AS SOON as I get home so can't do it again! Xmas Envy

RoastieToastieReastie · 13/12/2015 19:16

Oh dear adara, but go to your weigh in, it will make you face up and keep working hard at it (and it may not be as bad as you think). Also, you will then feel great the following week when you've lost it.

I have lost dd's personalised pencils. Ridiculously expensive but she has an unusual name and has asked for a 'perfect' pencil case and I felt like spoiling her. Now I can't find the buggers anywhere☹

Maiyakat · 13/12/2015 19:23

WINTER20 for 20% off at Joules

DragonMamma · 13/12/2015 19:28

Has anybody got any ideas for a half-decent smart phone for my dm.

It's to live down her caravan and there's only a Vodafone signal so would need to work with that. I was going to get a cheap PAYG but they'd need to occasionally use the net to check open the times and events in the area etc.

Any other caravan related ideas? I would have liked one of those condenser suckers but they are £50 and I'm too tight to get one !

trixymalixy · 13/12/2015 19:32

Thanks RJ. I'm heading to sainsburys this evening.

ChristmasEvePJs · 13/12/2015 19:33

Sainsburys have lovely half price Christmas table wear and baking stuff. Nice gifts.

Adarajames · 13/12/2015 19:34

Roastie Thanks, but I feel I hve undone the last 2-3 weeks of hard work Sad
No more sugry stuff allowed in the house is probably best!

trixymalixy · 13/12/2015 19:41

Wind the frog, do you think you'd get away with the policeman or bad cop key ring. Or swap the body on the cop one for a body with a pilot uniform?

trixymalixy · 13/12/2015 19:44

Ooh actually there's several Lego pilot key rings on eBay!
