Picked up a Minecraft tips and tricks hardback 2016 book today in Poundworld.Price printed on the back was £7.99.

Also found lots of great stocking fillers in there today for men and older teen boys,we picked some up for our 19 year old DS and 17 year old DS.

And for anyone that wants to dress they're table this year for Christmas they've got some really nice plates, side plates, bowls, glasses and cups in there, they also had charger plates, gravy boats and salt and pepper sets as well.
We bought some last year and they washed up well,no loss of colour or anything. They were all in Poundworld as well.

Thank you ZipZap for the link to the Mumsnet offers... do you (or indeed anyone Smile ) know how the Quidco Superdrug offer works?

I clicked on the link where it says you get a 'Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette' for free with Quidco, it took me straight to the Superdrug website, so not sure what to do now? It would be a great present for my turns-teen-on-Christmas-Day dd!

zipzap · 11/12/2015 22:43

I've just twitched and bought dh 3 christmas presents - all bargains but thought they might be of use to others too:

A small tassimo machine from Currys - £33 instead of £99 (I suspect the £99 is inflated and was only sold at that price for the bare minimum so they could sell it as a bargain this christmas) DH has a normal tassimo in the kitchen which he loves. But he also does love waking up to a coffee in the morning and moans fondly remembers the days of the teasmaid - albeit you had to figure something to do to keep the milk fresh overnight.

So I saw these on offer and thought they'd be ideal in lieu of a teasmaid - they're small and you can just set them going once you wake up and need a coffee. Pods can stay upstairs without needing refridgeration and he will just need to remember to top up the water.

Currys also had a small rechargeable portable power pack - £7.99 - which will do a single recharge of a phone etc. THink it will be a good thing (if he doesn't lose it!) as he often realises he is off out and has very little charge left on his phone. And if it works and he doesn't lose it then next year he can have a bigger one!

I mentioned previously about a unicycle. Couldn't track one down through my local bike shops - but found oddballs.co.uk that do them. They had a kit of a (what seems to be!) good basic training one with a How to ride a unicycle book for £55 instead of £70, and it comes with free delivery. I've also ordered the dc a set each of pyramid beanbags to learn to juggle with for £2.75 each set. They also take returns for the 4 weeks after christmas which seems good if it isn't a successful present!

snowgirl1 · 11/12/2015 23:10

NaturalBlonde no, you don't pay more if you pay off the account in full. I think you will pay more if you pay in stages, just like a credit card. I opened an account earlier to buy some Christmas presents and paid off in full. They even sent me a text message to remind me of the deadline for payment.

woodwaj · 11/12/2015 23:50

Gingerfox it's more expensive here but delivery time is better

Thanks househunting unfortunately they only have the black left in my size and don't want black.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 12/12/2015 07:20

BBGIFT15 gives a free gift set when you spend £15 on Burts Bees site.

There are some lovely stocking fillers that have sold out on a lot of other sites.

Serenite · 12/12/2015 07:53

Would anyone please have a phase eight discount code?

bookwormbeagle · 12/12/2015 08:35

I need to order from toysrus on a click and collect as its oos for home delivery. Order value £20, does anybody know any discount codes please? Tia

sproingle · 12/12/2015 09:11

With Boden you can just buy clearance items with your £10/£20 but you can't use the free delivery code unless you buy at least one full price item usually.

Dogmatix34 · 12/12/2015 09:26

I'm really hoping the cat money box turns up on time too. It's actually the present I'm most excited about giving to my DD so thank you to whoever posted it.
Has anyone seen any Christmas Cellophane bags with quick delivery time? They have loads on eBay but all the ones I like are from China and I'm worried they won't arrive on time. The DC are going to make some little chocolates so the smaller the better.

MarmaladeTeepee · 12/12/2015 10:00

Dogmatix wilkos usually sell small cellophane bags and I think home bargains had some in too. We've used the wilko ones before and they were fab (and cheap!) they're normally near the Christmas wrapping paper bit with the labels etc

Neeko · 12/12/2015 10:07

I bought snowman and Santa cellophane bags from Amazon. They cost £1.68 with free delivery and arrived in a couple of days.
We make marshmallow snowman lollies for family and friends. We've made them the past two years. I was going to do something different this year but we've received several requests![santa]

neddle · 12/12/2015 10:14

On Amazon, remember to look at the other sellers for an item.
If more than one company sells something, you can click through to see the different prices and where the item ships from with delivery estimates.
Often, the cheapest onion comes from China, but if you want it quicker then you can find a uk seller.

asuwere · 12/12/2015 10:31

neddle am laughing out loud at cheapest onions coming from China Xmas Grin

Have no need for facemasks but really tempted to get that 3 for £2.50 offer in superdrug. I also don't need anything else but still tempted to go to poundland for bargains... Must resist!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 12/12/2015 10:39

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 12/12/2015 10:48

Betty- I've just had an email about that- apparently you buy the palette online through your Quidco account, then will receive £10 cashback to cover it. It might be for new Quidco accounts, not sure.

LatestInBeauty are offering a free £46 cleanser with purchase over £10 (which seems very generous even though I've never heard of the cleanser, Jane Scrivener?)

kavvYourselfAMerryLittleXmas · 12/12/2015 11:05

Ok I have a very odd problem. You know those snowmen snow globe baubles you can get from card shops, garages etc, that have 'Merry Christmas X Name' inside?

My DD had one which I secretly thought spoiled my tree but she has smashed it today and is unexpectedly heartbroken.

I thought it would be dead easy to pick another one up, but I'm finding it surprisingly tricky. Does anyone have any suggestions online? I've tried eBay and they do have them but only very specific names. I'm looking for Lily. Thanks in advance Flowers

FireflyGirl · 12/12/2015 11:13

I've been emailed a voucher from Matalan today for 20% off instore until Tuesday.

It sounds as though they're emailing all cardholders, but the voucher isn't exclusive to me, or limited - it says for friends and family as well. If I can poke DH out of bed to come do some technical stuff work out how I will try and post it Xmas Grin

disclaimer - don't think it gives me anything if people use my voucher

EverybodyHatesATourist · 12/12/2015 11:16

Kavv you can get snow globes in Boots that you pop your own photographs inside, would that be any good? you could print her name on top of a photo.

bettythebuilder · 12/12/2015 12:06

Thank you ThenLaterWhenItGotDark I think it will be worth giving it a go, I already have a Quidco account so it will be a gamble, but I'm feeling wild Grin

ohtheholidays · 12/12/2015 12:13

Kavv I'm pretty sure we saw lots of Christmas decorations at Dobbies not long ago and some of those had Lily on them.

LucyTheValiant · 12/12/2015 12:13

The body shop have 40% off until tomorrow I think. Anyone know if it's instore, or just online?

ohtheholidays · 12/12/2015 12:16

Dogmatix I ordered some of the candy cane cellophane bags from this seller last week and they arrived within 2 days.
