What was in your Advent calendar??

My 5 year old was up at 5.30 to discover a small blonde girl in her Playmobil Advent calendar.

I have more civilised Yankee candle opening scheduled for this evening.

DD- M&S beauty stuff
Ds1+2- a DIY Coca-Cola advent calendar made with a 24 can crate with numbers 1-24 written on the bottom with sharpies.

I have a very swanky After-Eight 3D Big Ben, DS has the Lego one so a couple of tiny cars with remote controls that I have removed from DD's mouth several times

We had sleigh ride tea in our calendar (all tea :)). It's very pretty with little drawers and tiny pots for each tea. Sleigh ride tasted very nice (cinnamon and appley mostly). I think there might be lots of tea going into ds and dd's stockings this year

Lovely Burts Bees cuticle butter this morning - I was just thinking I needed something to put on my nails while at home, as I already have a cuticle oil that I use at work.

Oops I posted an advent calendar thread myself yesterday and wondered why no-one posted on it - didn't spot this one!

Ds and I both have picture ones. We are having our annual competition where we guess what the pictures will be. One point for something you guessed on wrong day, 2 points for correct picture on the same day.

Yesterday ds had santa hat with holly (1 point) and today had Christmas tree (1 point). Yesterday I had carol singer (no points) but today had mince pie (1 point).

Ds also has the Playmobil fire rescue one. Yesterday he had a Playmo man, to day he had some tools.

nooka where did you get the tea advent from? Do you have a picture of it?

I got the cuticle butter too. I might give it to DS's teacher though as I doubt I'll use it and it looks nice. I saw youngest DS building something from his Star Wars calendar but haven't looked closely enough to work out what it is.

I've got two Yankee ones (both bought as gifts - honest!! ). One is the house shaped one and I got the Icicles candle yesterday, the other one is a hexagon shape? My mum got it from QVC and it had a green candle in but there's two green tealights on the back so I don't know which one it is. Both are pine smelling with something fruity in and I suspect they both smell similar.

L'occitane gave me a little bottle of shampoo this morning. DD gor bright orange glitter nail polish from Ciate.

This is probably an outrage but I'm tempted to open the boxes in my M&S beauty one to see what I can give to others. I know I won't use all the stuff and there are more worthy recipients who actually will. [runs away]

Rudy I'm thinking of passing on some to DS's teachers. They share the job so it's 2 gifts instead of one to buy and they are much younger than me. I may hold off looking till nearer the end of term

I'm glad I clicked on this, completely forgot the bargain fuzzyfelt one I bought a few months ago! We have now caught up

DD is 2.5 and struggled with the concept of the advent calendar. She was alternately delighted with her miniature My Little Pony and outraged she couldn't open more boxes. If I remember correctly it's a finger puppet today, I am expecting her to be totally underwhelmed when she gets home from nursery.

There are days with sweets / choc in, I think they might be the highlights of the month!
