yesterday Aldi had some of the Brainbox games in (animals, world, maths, football) for £5.99 instead of £9.99 which could make nice presents - probably for kids about 6-10.

They also had christmas beer - 2 different sorts (1 reindeer something, 1 grumpy humbug something) for £1.25 a bottle. Think either from whychwood or hobgoblin beers.

Dh likes the hobgoblin gold beer that they also sell in bottles for £1.25 standard price - same thing in Sainsburys, Tesco, Waitrose etc tends to be £1.99 or occasionally on a 3 for 2 deal. But if you're buying for a party or a beer hamper with those poundland beer crates the savings soon mount up.

lozster · 29/11/2015 10:26

Dunno if its been posted already but GLTC have 20% off purchases over £60. Code PANTOMIME

Too expensive for me even with 20% off - no clue how I got on their mailing list Grin

Mipe · 29/11/2015 10:30

Just found some nice 32GB USB memory sticks on eBay, they are coming from Hong Kong so might not get here in time for Christmas but it is worth a try! These Star Wars characters are £2.99 each and these car key ones are £3.98 (they have all kinds of cars) Smile.

LibidinousSwine · 29/11/2015 10:32

Craghoppers have 20% off their Bear Grylls range on top of their Black Friday reductions with BEAR20.

Have just ordered DH the mountain jacket for £72 instead of £150 plus £4ish cash back Xmas Smile

Freezingwinter · 29/11/2015 10:36

The whole of the happyland range is reduced in mothercare! The big fairy treehouse is down from 50 to 19 and so is the train set. Christmas gingerbread house is down from 40 to 30, the pirate ship is 25 from 50 and even the little sets with families/animals have money off too.

4lovelychildren · 29/11/2015 10:48

Is anyone having trouble buying England football tickets? I put in my correct fan number and password but not recognised Sad Would be perfect for my son's birthday.

TobleroneBoo · 29/11/2015 10:52

Thanks for the Laura Ashley tip!!

asuwere · 29/11/2015 10:58

Sure someone was looking for the musical ninky nonk, its £29.99 in Argos.
Did someone also have a late delivery date for Kindle Fire from amazon? Its also in Argos for £35 with free delivery.
Also, the projection thing, not snowflakes but Asda had one in store which are like big disco balls and project spots over your house, they had multi coloured or white, £30. Saw it in store.

balletgirlmum · 29/11/2015 10:59

Cherrypez. There's I discount code for the England tickets but when you go to buybtickets for the friendly game v Holland ignore the drop down boxes with no of tickets & choice of areas on the right hand side of the page

Instead lookat the top right hand side of the page for the words FAMILY ENCLOSURE TICKETS in green. Click on that & it takes you to a page to purchase those (until they sell out)

GinAndSonic · 29/11/2015 11:05

I'm looking for cheap lights for my tree, preferably high Street so I can grab them while I'm out and about. It's a 6ft tree, probably looking for a set of 200 ish lights.

cherrypez · 29/11/2015 11:09

balletgirlmum thank you thank you thank you!!!! Tickets booked!

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 29/11/2015 11:15

More than what you are looking for GinAndSonic but I thought it was a bargain, I got a set of 1000 warm white lights from Amazon for £39.
Compared to high street prices it worked out a lot cheaper.

I was sick of having 2 or 3 sets of lights for the tree then one set blowing and not remembering where I'd bought them from the year before and getting another set that didn't match etc.

balletgirlmum · 29/11/2015 11:17

&I obviously meant ignore the drop down on the LEFT.

BUT glad you've got it sorted. If we wern't alreeady on holiday we'd be there. It'll ge a little MN Xmas thread reunion by the sounds of things.

balletgirlmum · 29/11/2015 11:17

In fact can I nominate "where we all go to a football match" as the next thread title!

4lovelychildren · 29/11/2015 11:23

Used a different email address - all sorted! 16th birthday present - going to watch England play at Wembley with great seats - not a bargain but he will be super excited!! Thanks

BirdingWidow · 29/11/2015 11:29

FeelingSmurfy · 29/11/2015 12:55

Anyone who has the skylanders games, Smyth's are selling single figures for £1 and triple packs for £4.99

*note: I have no clue about these but have been told its a really good price so sharing...can someone explain what a triple pack is, why wouldn't you buy three separate figures for £3?

NoManJan · 29/11/2015 13:04

Does anyone know if there's a code around for Debenhams...trying to get finished by the 1st!
