I told ds he could only ask Santa for one present and one from us as otherwise Santa wouldn't have enough to go around but if he was extra good then there maybe a few surprises.

margaritasbythesea · 05/12/2015 23:31

Thanks thatsnotmy - I am wondering what the chance is of the one I want coming back in before Christmas. She would be so thrilled. I AM blowing the budget but she's worth it.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 05/12/2015 23:33

If anyone comes across this Jurassic world mosaurus vs submarine toy in toys r us could you please let me know?

I have been looking for one for ages and have been convinced it'll come back in stock on toys r us website before Xmas but I'm doubtful now.

It does say sold in stores on the website but seen as though they are selling for £80+ on eBay (think they are about £23/£24)

Thank you.

Oops I meant to put seen as though they are selling for that price I assume they have sold out pretty much everywhere.

Pigleychez · 05/12/2015 23:55

Our santa lists are 'ideas' for Santa. He cant bring them everything or there wouldnt be room on his sleigh for everyone to get something.
They usually get 1 or 2 things from the list from Santa and he fills thier stockings.
We might buy a few other bits from the list.

Agree that they soon forget what they wrote anyway! We did ours last week and I bet they can only remember 1 or two things anyway.

trixymalixy · 06/12/2015 00:16

Santa never brings everything on the list in this house.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 06/12/2015 00:21

margaritas which one are you after, have you tried other places like John Lewis, HofF etc.?

Reastie · 06/12/2015 06:56

Excellent thinking on the Santa not bringing all things. Unfortunately DD doesn't forget, last year she put elsa gloves on the list once at the last minute and I thought she'd forgotten about them but ten months later she still mentioned them.

Any Amazon vouchers about?
I couldn't understand the post upthread about them.
I've forgotten a birthday yesterday and need some asap.
Thanks

Margarita I agree with Thats - all JM scents are gorgeous, and all their products are lovely too. My one extravagance left over from before I had kids and used to have disposable income! Personally I would rather get anything JM rather than anything not! The candles are lovely and last for ages....

PersisFord · 06/12/2015 08:00

Any ideas for fun drinking cups for toddlers? Preferably with a straw and that will go in the dishwasher? I have been haunting home bargains but nothing. I have a boden code on my latest catalogue I will get when the baby stops his extended BF!

margaritasbythesea · 06/12/2015 08:20

I am after grapefrut. She buys the perfume for herself as a treat. I know she would never consider getting herself the bath oil because of the expense. She has asked me for nice bubble bath and I know it would be perfect. The only one I have found is a 100ml on amazon without a box. Seems to detract from the overall glamour!

WhirlwindHugs,

I too am today faced with a dress you can't buy. Problem is that lady year she asked for a blue ball dress not frozen style and the elves made one. This year the dress has to have long sleeves, lacy colar and round the floor and some kind of sash. Not sure if i should quiz further and try to get made what she wants or whether to follow the pram idea and get something similar but short rather than floor length and say that's how santas elves interpreted her drawing. But then possibly a lot of money on a dress up outfit she won't wear. Aagh.

Also need pet beds for small and large toy. In was thinking of getting a dolls bedding set and wrapping the pillow up for the small toy and the duvet for the large one? Will they be thick enough? Or does anyone know where i can get them other than build a bear as she has said like that but not that one. Maybe i should get a real pet ped for small pets? Is that the way to go?

sproingle · 06/12/2015 08:56

Last year not lady year!

Gooseysgirl · 06/12/2015 09:46

ELC sent me a £5 e-voucher for shopping online with them at the end of November!! A bit random, but gratefully received... have used to buy stocking filler first chalks for my 2 year old Smile

There's a weekend offer at Tesco Photo - buy one photo cushion, get one free. There's a code for it but it should be on the page. And one advantage of tesco photo is that they have free delivery to store which helps on the cost if you are close to a tesco anyway.

Chocolateteabag · 06/12/2015 09:48

i hate the cold - I got an email from Amazon this morning with a buy £30 get £7 free on vouchers
Might be worth checking your account to see if you qualify?

Chocolateteabag · 06/12/2015 09:53

sproingle - could you look for gift baskets as pet beds? Then just add a small cushion or handkerchief?

Or could you make them? Basically making an oval cushion shape and stuffing it? Easy with a sewing machine and toy stuffing?

VoldemortsBaubles · 06/12/2015 10:13

thank you MTW I've just ordered a scuttle bug for my godson's 1st birthday in April Blush

whatsonyourplate · 06/12/2015 10:17

Sproingle I think long sleeves will be your problem rather than the dress length. If you search ebay for blue princess dress there are lots of possible options. If you need to add a sash, search 'chair sash', they would need shortening but are good value sash

sproingle · 06/12/2015 10:28

Thanks, chocolateteabag. I might get the sewing machine out.

Re the dress. Last year was blue and i sorted that.

This year is pink with long sleeves and lace at the collar and bottom of skirt and possibly at the wrists. There's a sash at the waist with a heart. I can move slightly away from it but long sleeves are needed. Any ideas. I think we are flexible on material.

sproingle · 06/12/2015 10:29

Whatsonyourplate, thanks for sash idea.

bookbook · 06/12/2015 10:54

sproingle - do you sew? pink plain t shirt /top with sleeves, use sash to hide join onto a simple gathered skirt, add on lace IYSWIM
