I thought I'd finished my shopping but forgot I need to get small presents for my sisters step kids. They are both boys, and 5 and 10 and I have only met them once. No ideas from my sister so I haven't got a clue what they like!

I thought about chill factor cups but can't find them any cheaper than almost £10 (already got them some chocs so looking for something for £6-ish). Any ideas?

Please help, oh wise ones!

SD asked for one of these chill your drink in seconds cup which is the same kind of thing as the slush cups, they change colour as your drink cools. I wasnt going to go for it at £12 but for £6.49 thought it was okay.

Oh2beatsea · 05/12/2015 11:46

Has anyone come across any good deals on Odeon cinema vouchers or Amazon vouchers?? I missed the good cinema deal in October - something like 5 tickets for £20 : (
Thanks

neddle · 05/12/2015 11:49

There were some offers with amazon vouchers - you could get £7 free when you bought a £30 gift card. I bought the voucher to use myself, then got the freebie as well.

whatsonyourplate · 05/12/2015 12:18

needle got a feeling I saw them in Asda (remember thinking who tf are they?)
No idea of the price.

whatsonyourplate · 05/12/2015 12:25

neddle I meant. Don't make a special journey though I might be wrong (might have been two other people I haven't heard of ...).

Iggi999 · 05/12/2015 12:35

Works Christmas train just unpacked and tested - doesn't work at all, the train comes on sometimes for a few seconds, won't stay on the flimsy track and won't even stay upright running on the floor. It was "only" £7 but surely it is meant to work ?

rosieliveson1 · 05/12/2015 12:52

afreshstart lovely leather gloves in John Lewis. Only £22 ish. Had 20% off when I bought them but that could have finished

Stillunexpected · 05/12/2015 13:44

Iggi oh no, I got one of those trains as well, haven't even got it out of the box yet. It is meant to go around the kitchen Christmas tree which won't go up until much nearer christmas. Maybe I need to dig it out and put it together this afternoon in case they are all faulty?

woodwaj · 05/12/2015 14:09

15% off a £50 spend at firebox 15OFF50

whatsonyourplate · 05/12/2015 14:57

neddle just looked in Asda, it was Dan and Phil, but it was the book not the calendar I saw, sorry!

neddle · 05/12/2015 15:03

Thanks plate, might convince her to wait til after christmas to see if it gets cheaper.

margaritasbythesea · 05/12/2015 15:25

Iggi my train didn't work either. I got a refund. Rubbish.

That's not my house / bluesky -I wanted to get Jo Malone bath oil but the one I wanted is out of stock and I don't want to pay that much for 'second best'. I will have a look at rituals and cowshed. Person in question really likes citrus smells.

margaritasbythesea · 05/12/2015 15:36

Thank you for the other suggestions too. Posted too soon.

A nice present for preschoolers.
I bought these for my then 3yo son last Christmas, and everyone in our family has been playing with them all year.
They're rubber shapes with suckers on them and they stick to each other and smooth surfaces without the need to wet them. They make a fun pop sound when they're pulled off and we've come up with all sorts of games with them.
My youngest dd15m likes to chew them and they've never marked or broken. I like to take them out with us when we're visiting as you can keep little ones amused with them.

Really worth the price and a great present - particularly for younger siblings that get hand me downs.

Shout if you want more ideas of what we've done with them Xmas Grin.
