ilike, I'd be sending off a complaint letter to Startrite to get my money back, if I were you!

NormaSnickers · 03/12/2015 08:53

Dillie I bought a Wallet Ninja from WHSmith last week, it was half price and if I remember correctly I paid £3.50. It was in clear plastic wallet style packaging. Might be worth a look if there's a store near you?

BetweenTwoLungs · 03/12/2015 08:56

Ladies I need your help. DN (also my god daughter) has asked for some Lego Elves from us. I don't mind spending a £30ish on her and would love to get her what she wants as actually we may be the only people who do. The problem is I have no idea what's a good deal and what isn't as the Elves sets arent something Ive needed to look at before. Has anyone spotted some good value deals? Or if not the Elves sets, a similar set? She has a fair few of the Friends sets and likes her lego.

Her dad told us to buy a Xbox One game that's very much for him and not the little girl Sad

ChristmasEvePJs · 03/12/2015 09:45

Between that's so sad, the poor kid. Depending on your budget the elves sets start from £10ish if you want to get a few boxes or one big thing. For £30ish I would buy the hollow and either the ship or the bakery set too. JL seem to be good value, that's where I got DN hers.

Fallforallmycharms · 03/12/2015 09:47

Dreamtown Rose Petal 'completely-overpriced-for-a-tent' Cottage down to £50 at Amazon and Tesco this morning, lowest it's been for a while I think ...

LalaDipsey · 03/12/2015 10:00

Any codes for Molton Brown, L'Occitane or Lakeland around pretty please?

scandichick · 03/12/2015 10:25

Lala, look upthread, there was one for L'Occitane just there and Molton Brown not long before it. It's easier on a laptop, just select 'Show 1000 messages' (or similar, on mobile so can't check) near the OP and you can see all posts. It's really easy to search backwards that way.

TheJiminyConjecture · 03/12/2015 10:32

Thanks for Brewhive code, that was a cracking offer!

Mothercare code has been passed on.

Mama1980 · 03/12/2015 10:33

Between - The hollow set is good or if you wanted to stretch the budget a bit the bakery is also awesome it's my sons favourite but comes in at about £35.

WhirlwindHugs · 03/12/2015 10:46

A food bargain - my supermarket now has a shops section. I got an email saying first orders through their currently have a 15pounds off a 40pound spend promotion on at selected shops.

There are lots of different sellers, high quality products from independent places. Quite a few hamper type things. Individual sellers also have extra deals on. For example I bought food from Farmers Choice Free range and they were also giving away lamb shanks for spending more than 25 pounds with them.

The discount is automatically applied. www.extras.mysupermarket.co.uk/#!christmas-promotion/yb869

BetweenTwoLungs · 03/12/2015 11:06

Brilliant - thanks guys, I'll have a look.

Stokey · 03/12/2015 11:21

Hello Christmas elves

Thanks to whoever posted about free delivery at M&S to Australia - I have just sent DM some jewellery. But a word of advice to anyone who is thinking of using it: you can't add gift wrap to anything you send. This was pretty frustrating as it kept defaulting on the website and not letting me go back to the main account. Also it says you can send clothing but I tried to send some cotton PJs and after talking to CS, cotton is also not allowed.

Freezingwinter · 03/12/2015 11:31

Thank you for the suggestions for shops for diffusers! Really helpful!
Has anyone seen a nice soft toy elf anywhere? My little boy is too young for the proper elf on the shelf but I would like to do a little toy elf game for him. I just haven't found any that aren't 'decorations'!

neddle · 03/12/2015 11:47

stokey
How about this one? It's cuddly and comes with some extras.
Or this one's just a toy and cheaper.
There's one type here in different sizes.
Or you can get an outfit for a Build a Bear.

itsonlysubterfuge · 03/12/2015 11:49

freezing they have a medium sized elf in the Works and a big ones in Home Bargains. I think they are both around the £2.99-£3.99 mark. My DD has both and prefers the larger one from Home Bargains.

neddle · 03/12/2015 11:51

Set of three Hogwarts books £12, was £25.
Another present ticked off the list Xmas Grin - just wish the list was getting shorter though.

FeelingSmurfy · 03/12/2015 12:11

I'm looking at the mysupermarket £15 off deal, but it says £15 discount applied, free postage, order goes from £42.25 to £32.70

ElenaSummer · 03/12/2015 12:15

Can anyone remember if there are any current Matalan codes?

I think I received some in the post but binned it thinking I wasn't buying any more from there :(

AllyourGreens · 03/12/2015 12:38

Does anyone know how long Amazon has been a member of topcashback? They currently seem to be offering 4.2% I'm now fearing I've missed out on a small fortune

Spub thanks for the heads up on the Clark's sale.

FeelingSmurfy · 03/12/2015 12:44

greens they change it regularly and it only allies to certain areas (the least used ones!)

AllyourGreens · 03/12/2015 12:48

Clarks even.

That 4.2 % with Amazon seems to be on shoes and watches (only seen when you click on the casback button) Confused Anyway, as you were

AllyourGreens · 03/12/2015 12:54

Oh thank you for clearing that up for me Smurfy. Think I've been bargain hunting for too long this morning and for the last 10 mins nothings made much sense Grin

butterflymum · 03/12/2015 13:16

greens, Quidco also offer Amazon cashback, but it also changes and only applies to certain departments. At moment it's 4% for 'beauty sales' and 3% for 'lawn and garden'.

LexLoofah · 03/12/2015 13:21

It's starting to smell a lot like Christmas at Chez Loofah as cracked open Christmas tree scented reed diffuser from Sainsburys - some of them are on offer, the figgy pudding one was half price

Also, all presents (that have arrived so far) are wrapped including the stocking bits and the tip to wrap on the ironing board worked really well EXCEPT it is now covered in glitter from a particularly glittery paper so now have to vacuum it before I iron DH's shirts - note to self for next time: put a towel down first

Off to look for Christmas bin bags later, thanks ladies

zipzap · 03/12/2015 13:32

freezing try Sainsburys - they had some little sets for a fiver with a cute cuddly elf and a storybook with space to write stuff in. Much cuter than the 'real' elf on a shelf too.

Last year Clintons had nice ones so they might be worth a look as well.
