Elena - I had this a few days ago - I ended up getting one on Amazon. It was annoying because I'd been asking ds2 which sort of advent calendar he wanted for weeks and he wouldn't decide. By the time he did, not only had all the good deals gone, most of the advent calendars themselves had gone too Xmas Sad

I tried every local toy shop and department store and garden centres etc that I thought might have them - all of them looked at me as if I was mad wanting to buy an advent calendar in the last 10 days of november - obviously I should have bought it in August instead...

In past years I've managed to pick them up really cheaply in the first few days of december. However in the last couple of years it seems that either the stores are carrying less stock or they have become much more popular (or both!) and that the only way to guarantee getting them these days is to get them early...

Bookish The price of disney infinity 3.0 dropped to around £17.50 a few days ago, think it is slightly higher now , it was on amazon i think.

ElenaSummer · 30/11/2015 12:38

Thanks zipzap - I wanted one for the last few months however DH was adamant it was money we didnt need to spend .... which is fair enough until he changed his mind this morning!

Amazon are sold out but I will keep looking .

Thank you supermariosister that's helpful. I'm slightly lost with Infinity so still trying to figure out what we actually need but think I need to look out for bargain.

neddle · 30/11/2015 12:58

There's a Mog book on Amazon lightning atm.

Anjelika · 30/11/2015 12:58

If anyone is still trying to track down a MLP Busy Book, I got 2 from WH Smith just now. I picked up a 20% discount card in there on Friday. The price on each book was £7.99 but the 2 together came up as £11.98. They only had 1 out on display (with numerous other Busy Books) but I asked if they had another (needed one for DD and one for her BF) and they did in the storeroom so may be worth asking in store. They were all on a display by the till in this store.

seems to be dropping now and again so worth keeping an eye out, disney infinity 3.0 is the newest out, the older versions 1 and 2 will be cheaper but you would not be able to use character from 3.0 with them.

DoraDymant · 30/11/2015 13:13

I've treated myself to a kindle fire for christmas - couldn't resist the bargain and in the hope that I might actually read a book from start to finish! Does anyone know of any bargainous (obviously!) cases to protect it from young flinging hands? TIA!

Can anyone help, I'm trying to buy the Elifun Mousetrap, and have found it on Amazon for £14.45, which seems good to me, but when I check out they slap on £4.50 delivery. Is there a way to avoid a delivery charge, I've tried adding on smaller items to get past £20, but the delivery just piles on. Am I doing something wrong?

I'd buy it elsewhere but cant find it reduced anywhere else?

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 30/11/2015 13:38

lion it may not be Amazon that's selling it but a third party. Or if it is indeed Amazon you need to change deliver on the first screen. Think it says "standard delivery" click there to change to free

AllyourGreens · 30/11/2015 13:43

Wish I'd bought the nice Dunelm christmas fleece blankets mentioned on these threads from two years back (meant to and never got round to it Sad ) Anyone seen anything nice on their real or virtual shopping travels? Or if you do can you shout?

I'd love some with either gingerbread men, robins, Christmas trees or puddings, even owls on, not too childish but festive all the same Smile

Pooseyfrumpture · 30/11/2015 13:47

allyourgreens re fleece - Asda had some online, but Amazon have some cheaper. Search "dreamscene fleece" - foxes and snow flakes.

escape · 30/11/2015 13:49

Good question elena
From my own research - they are out of stock everywhere - tesco online, Argos etc
amazon are #30 + and eBay, well...

DoraDymant · 30/11/2015 13:50

Anyone seen a voucher code for Bright Minds?
Their Black Friday offers are mainly loom bands - ie. just the stuff they can't shift :(

zipzap · 30/11/2015 14:34

Allyourgreens I got some gorgeous ones from Asda last year for £5 in a really soft snuggly microplush rather than the fleece that fleece jumpers are made of.

They arrived with the stockings for everyone in the house. Plan was to put them away at the end of winter to bring out fresh around now - but the dc love theirs so much that they've been out all year - washed as required and still looking as good as new.

They did have then this year as well but I didn't need any (apart from one nice looking one (not xmas-y) that sold out the day after I spotted it and foolishly thought I'd pick up in store) so I don't know what their availability is like now. Last year they also had matching cushions for some designs which were very nice to snuggle up on!

They also have throws and blankets that are plain colour microplush on one side and a creamy thick woolly sort of fleece on the other (think fake sheepskin sort of but not quite). They're not specifically christmas-y but I quite fancy having one to snuggle up in when I'm feeling extra chilly!

NoManJan · 30/11/2015 15:09

Just a heads up...Emma Bridgewater have 20% off ends today but it also stacks with the CHRISTMAS15 code. I just got a personalised pint heart mug for £24
