Funnily enough that one makes me angry Wicked! When I watched it for the first time I got annoyed by them prospering from history! Haven't shaken the feeling off!

I felt the same NeverNic To me that seemed like a cynical subversion of a lovely incident in history to make money and I probably bought less at Sainsburys as a result

The part that made me cry was everything going back to usual at the end/the war resumed. What a pointless waste of life .

Did they not donate the procedes from the sale of the chocolate bar shown in video to the British legion, so some good would have come out of it?

I watched it at 8pm, determined it wouldn't affect me in any way, oh no, no, it's just another flippin Christmas ad.........

I've just seen it and didn't like it at all. It just reminded me of how lonely so many old people feel at this time if year.
Prompted me to look into volunteering at Xmas though.

wickedlazy I think this year's Sainsbury's advert is also much more of a tear jerker (in a nice way) than the John lewis. It features Mog!

I LOVE the oh Sainsburys one but I just live Mog . My DSis worked st M&S in Oxford Circus in the 70s/80s and everything shut at lunchtime on Saturdays. No one believes her!
