Lego made me chuckle with her comment about sleep shopping in the last thread!

For all info see next post for links etc and let me know if a link doesn't work or a code is no longer valid or if I've missed something good Thanks

Cookie the 10% off flaviar code wouldn't work for me so don't worry too much about forgetting to use it :)

Fox28 · 24/10/2015 11:45

Pound shop website have 10% off Halloween products with the code BOO (I know it's not a Christmas bargain but still might come in handy for someone Blush )

trixymalixy · 24/10/2015 11:49

I always buy the big packs of batteries from maplin at Christmas time.

SomethingOfTheNight · 24/10/2015 11:51

Thank you Birding Smile

Can anyone give me any advice on an ipod touch for someone who's never owned one before. Ds wants to listen to music, play games when out and about with us, watch youtube and similar. I'm wondering if it's a waste of money as he has a tablet but doesn't take it out much as too big for music player and lack of space for music files. I wondered if the older ones were okay for this rather than the newest

daddykyller · 24/10/2015 12:00

Get a Free Toy from Argos when you spend £10
Part of some event they are calling Red Friday - 5 days of deals

There's also 15% off at the Boohoo Outlet on ebay for those looking for fashion related gifts

Sports Direct have a half term flash sale with lots of kids stuff, character, clothes, bags, shoes etc on sale

Disney Store are doing off costumes on their website

Wilko have a lot of Half Price Toys

Groupon are doing another Mystery Swag bag for £7.99

and Amazon are doing a decent looking android phone for £25 at the moment. It's locked to Vodafone, but unlock code is just 99p from ebay

daddykyller · 24/10/2015 12:01

I wouldn't botehr getting an ipad supermariossister
A £50 tablet does all that- no need to spend hundreds and hundreds just because it has an apple symbol on it :)

PjDay · 24/10/2015 12:16

Loving all the converse bargains. It is testament to years of this thread that even in my gin induced state I still google a discount code! Wine.

RE: Ipod touch. DC 1&2 have one each (2012) and still going strong. Does everything they need and good when in WiFi areas. Only issue is no 4G so DS tends to use his phone more now.

OrangeSquashTallGlass · 24/10/2015 12:37

randomcat that wallet ninga is perfect, thanks for the link!

Serendipitystardust1 · 24/10/2015 13:03

Lots of the toys are 3 for 2 or 25% off on Ocado. If you combine that with a first order discount eg, VOU2485567 for 25% off orders over £60, there could be some real bargains to be had. Loads of the delivery slots are free too.

woodwaj · 24/10/2015 13:32

I have found a £10 voucher for Charles Tyrwhitt valid off any spend until 30th Nov AMAZON36

Bizzledizzle · 24/10/2015 13:51

Can I be really cheeky and ask if anyone has an ELC birthday code?? I didn't get sent one this year

purplepandas · 24/10/2015 14:04

Sports Direct are bargainous today as others have said. Some character backpacks for £2 and lunch boxes (zip up) for £1.25. Bought some glow in the dark gloves for DDs for £2. glovesback packs and lunch bags

purplepandas · 24/10/2015 14:05

I didn't get any birthday codes this year either Bizzle. Not sure why. Good luck in getting one.

d270r0 · 24/10/2015 14:24

supermariossister, you can probably get an sd card for the existing tablet if you just need more space for music files. A lot cheaper.

d270r0 · 24/10/2015 14:28

itsonlysubterfuge- I agree the songbirds books are brilliant and have a clear progression. I found they alone aren't quite enough. So I got an usbourne set of first readers too and use them alongside each other. You want phonics based ones to begin with, a lot of them aren't.

ipanicked · 24/10/2015 14:44

Flowers onelittlepiglet for the lottie doll code - it's the only thing DD wants and I couldn't quite bring myself to buy it full price Blush

ahbollocks · 24/10/2015 14:58

Has anyone had their hotel chocolat tasting club boxes yet?

backinschool · 24/10/2015 15:22

DD liked songbirds but her favourites were Oxford Reading Tree: Traditional Tales Phonics which are often reduced on book people or amazon. She loves all the traditional fairy tales anyway but I think reading familiar stories made it easier for her (the first book here or here has a version of Gingerbread Man, The Enormous Turnip and The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse).

BeaBoo · 24/10/2015 15:46

Bollocks I've not had my box yet. Was wondering about it earlier as I thought it would have arrived by now.

Went to sainsburys today but the shelves were almost bare! Got wooden skittles and a wooden kaleidoscope camera for DD but that's it.

JessesGirl · 24/10/2015 16:18

OhHoly what's the sizing like on those star Hoodies? I really like the look of those!

I didn't get an ELC code this year either so I emailed to ask why and apparently I have opted out of receiving emails from them despite me being opted in to everything on my account. Had to ring customer services to sort it out but I was on hold for so long I gave up! its quite possible they've had some sort of glitch so may be worth emailing if you were expecting a code but didn't get one.

Mama1980 · 24/10/2015 16:22

Build a bear have a Star Wars bear and new force awakens costume for £22.99 a saving of about £12 if you were to buy them separately. If you buy online you have to pay passage but it's still a good saving. Not sure if it's in store.

I8toys · 24/10/2015 16:52

Just ordered the build a bear star wars bear and outfit. Star Wars is going to be big news at Christmas. So best to get it now!!

lilygirl81 · 24/10/2015 17:17

DH really wants a tablet, any thoughts on a budget one, or discounts?

ahbollocks · 24/10/2015 17:29

Thanks beaboo

I ordered mine on the 15th so I'm getting a bit antsy.

Whenever I email to strop though the item always ends up arriving that day so I want to hold off as much as poss Grin
