isn't that a bit young for her? It looks like something a 5 year old would play with. I've asked her if it isn't a bit babyish and she tells me that EVERYONE likes sylvanians at school "even people in year 6"

Anyone here an expert? Waddya think?!

Dd has the canal boat and the windmill thing - both of which she (and ds1) love - lots of tiny little bits for ds2 to swallow!

Right - thanks to you lot I am £59.99 lighter in Argos's favour !! 1 Willow Hall for my dd (age 6) for Xmas now !

She got the St John's school and Riverside Cottage and tonnes of bits for her b;day in october - but declared the cottage too small !! She said it could be their holiday house if FC brought her a proper house !

My god-daughter is 8.5 and has had her SF stuff for a couple of years - she adores it which is why I ahev let dd have it too - initially I thought she was past it at 6 - but no - it does seem to be popular well into the 8-9yr age group !

The caravan is a good place to start

those of you who know about Sylvanian families, what's wrong with this one that makes it so much cheaper than the others? Is it not real or the wrong size or something?

am a sylvanian family virgin. have no idea what's what.

windmill but cheap and from Japan

LIZS · 04/12/2006 14:40

Are those not mini versions rather than fullsize sets ?

pooka · 04/12/2006 14:42

I had enormous trouble getting hold of willow hall for dd last year! DON'T use Amazon. They suck!

tamum · 04/12/2006 16:43

fennel, they're teeny tiny as Lizs says- 4 cm tall!

PrincessPeaHead · 04/12/2006 17:48

well there are lots of willow halls at toys r us at the moment. but I got the last white mouse family! (and some woman at the till said to me "oh, I didn't see those, I wanted the mice" and I felt v smug in saying "I'm terribly sorry, I think I got the last set"

What Allie ?? Did you get it for £19.99 in TKMaxx when I just paid £59.99 in Argos ???

AllieAndTheIvy · 05/12/2006 19:43

i got the primrose nursery, my sister got the willow one. It was in toymaster for £49.99

scatterbrain · 05/12/2006 19:59

Oh that's OK then - I had a £10 off voucher so no worse off ! I hate to think someone has got a better bargain than me !

Harkthefubsyangelssing · 05/12/2006 20:01

(Preens even more)

I got the Primrose Nursery today from TKMaxx for £19.99

I thought perhaps DDwas too old at 5 to get much out of these, but after reading this thread I am reassured. Plus i would have loved these as a kid, but was too old when they came out!
