I've still got some of those cardboard glasses, so they do work with iPhones then? For some reason I didn't think they did.

Neeko · 12/10/2015 08:56

Morning.
Groupon are doing the W7 advent calendar for £16.99. I've had some of their stuff before and it's ok. Would be good for a teenager and you get something every day unlike some of the other beauty ones.

LBOCS2 · 12/10/2015 09:04

Thanks MrsRainbowBrite. That's without tax isn't it? So with tax it probably works out around the same price as Amazon... I'll just keep an eye on it until DD's birthday, hope that for some reason the price drops dramatically! I begrudge paying that sort of money on plastic tat mainly...

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 12/10/2015 09:15

I bought DP those cardboard glasses from the cheapy site last year, he had an iPhone 6 at the time. They worked for that but there were limited apps that actually worked. They're meant for android phones I think

ditsygal · 12/10/2015 09:22

Thank you to the 2 people who used my lostmyname link - 1 more and I have a free book if anyone else wants a 15% off code www.lostmy.name/friends/gemma-laragy-hully

Also thanks for the book people code - I ordered DS a pack of 10 christmas themed books for £8.50 as I'm doing a book advent calendar this year - and a couple of other bits for christmas presents for him (the julia donaldson audio books look really good for long car journeys!)

MissRainbowBrite · 12/10/2015 09:23

LBOCS2 I think the £60 was the total price, worth getting someone to check if you know anyone with a Costco card.

OctopusArmEnvy · 12/10/2015 09:24

We have the doctors bag with the wooden instruments that is on groupon at the mo. It's half price on their £12 something. It's played with constantly and a really lovely set :-) xx

lalakahle · 12/10/2015 09:40

Oops, didn't know the cardboard glasses were popular last year!

I think the new version (v2) has been upgraded so it works for all phones, and has an external button on the casing that allows you to navigate on your phone while your phone is in the headset.

The cosmic roller coaster app that someone asked about is here: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Cosmic.rollercoaster&hl=en_GB

It is also in the Apple store.

Just having a quick look on the app stores, it seems there are quite a few VR apps out there to play with.

lalakahle · 12/10/2015 09:50

Aargh. Sorry - the space rollercoaster is NOT in the Apple store.

DeloresDeSyn · 12/10/2015 10:12

Thanks woodwaj and whatson have bought a hedgehog and a fox now!

Pound land stuff looks good!I have some of the Jane Asher pound land stuff and it's actually fine, not sturdy or anything, but does the job. DD loves cooking so she has her own box of pretty pastel cooking things for a bargain price.

QueenofallIsee · 12/10/2015 11:31

My Shamballa bargain jewellery has arrived and its great! I mean, no way I would have paid the RRP on the site but they are delicate and pretty and once put in gift boxes, fantastic gifts for like a quid each

Joycey29 · 12/10/2015 12:13
