Whatsonyourplate sorry didn't mean to queue jump!

I need some very very cheap thank you gifts for nursery staff, teachers ta, swim tutor and cubs helpers. Even willing to make simple craft ideas. We are so skint but really want to buy for these people are week in week out they are who make a difference in our children's life.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 11/10/2015 15:27

I NOW HAVE 3 REFFERALS SO USE SOMEONE ELSES LINK!!!

Thank you SO much!!

SpaghettiMeatballs · 11/10/2015 15:36

sockattack what about the children making some biscuits, either shortbread or gingerbread, and putting them in celo bags with Christmas ribbon and a homemade, personalised tag. Hobbycraft sell 20 odd blank tags for £1.

I think that would be a lovely gift and not too expensive.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 11/10/2015 15:37

Get well soon mrslebon. I'm off for another Day Nurse now Sad

scrappydappydoo · 11/10/2015 15:40

Sockattack For teachers, brownie leaders, swim teachers I buy a nice Christmas tree decoration (a lot stores do 3 for 2 on the posher ones or multipacks). Although last year I found some decorate your own bauble sets in home bargains which made nice more personal gifts.
For brownie helpers, assistants etc as they are normally teenagers I buy a nice choc Santa or snowman (again normally on a 3 for 2)

Just used whatsonyourplate's link. Thanks!

This is mine but don't want to queue jump

Sockattack what about a recipe in a jar gift - eg brownie mix
www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/956638/chocolate-brownie-mix-in-a-jar
Or lots of ideas on Pinterest - 'pamper your mistletoes' or 'treat your feet this christmas' - wrap nail polish, nail file and foot cream (whatever you like really) in cellophane and add free printable label

Apologies - link didn't work try this: spend €45 get freebie etc

mrslebon · 11/10/2015 16:47

Thanks @pinktable - just ordered the Playmobil Dinos Transport Vehicle with Baby T-Rex set for my DS!

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 11/10/2015 17:21

Ok, I've just done an order with whatson's linky, should I use someone else's? I need two books, would it be better to.use two different orders as they seem to only give a 10% discount on the second. Haven't checked out yet though. Was wibbling over using my dcs long names as y'know, value for money and everything, or their nicknames, both are uncommon so they rarely get anything with them on.

I need ideas for a 9 month old. So far he has the book, and some stacking cups from ikea. That's it.

whatsonyourplate · 11/10/2015 17:24

Thanks YoureAllaBunchofBastards (wasn't sure what to shorten that to!)

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 11/10/2015 17:35

For a 9mth old how about thinking ahead so maybe something for the summer or some vtech toot toot, ds2 is 10mths and loves the little mega block cars that are in 2 parts, toot toot cars, tomy squeaky eggs, shape sorter. Fav books are the that's not my books and where is the green sheep.

Oh n not sure if people know but what the ladybird heard next is out in hardback it's 4.99 on Amazon.

DeloresDeSyn · 11/10/2015 17:37

sockattack wish bracelets and a pair of Christmas socks (Matalan 3 for 2) was what all my extra helpers got last year, SIL works in a school and loves it when people get her wine socks

The little wish bracelets are very sweet especially if the dcs do their own card backing?

whatsonyourplate · 11/10/2015 17:39

I also have 3 referrals now, you lot certainly move fast! Thanks for the last one youcantscareme . I think to make a second referal work you'd have to make a second account with a different email address.

woodwaj · 11/10/2015 17:43

I made these last year 80p Ikea jar, bit of ribbon melt chocolate into silicone molds and bobs your uncle
